About the Owner

We are Geoffrey and Dena, we have a son called Adam, and although we live and work in beautiful Cornwall, we take a real delight in our trips over to our holiday home in Creissan in the South of France, we've got to know the local people there, and really fall into the French way of life, so different to back home in Britain, especially the weather and always come back refreshed.

The moment we arrived at Languedoc, we really did fall in love with it's rustic charm, the whole region gives off an air of idyllic warmth, from the eerie sounds of the cigale, to the gentle waving of the sunflowers, the sight of sun drenched vines, and the scent of lavender, these are some of the factors that make it so attractive to us, and it is hoped that you also experience these same pleasures.

Special interest holidays:

A large riding stables on the outskirts of Creissan, on the road towards Quarante, caters for both novice and more experienced horse riders.


A 25 minute drive takes you to the beaches of the Mediterranean, were different resorts provide varied entertainment ie; swimming, nightlife, waterskiing, wind surfing, casinos, sunbathing, and fine restaurants.


Carcassonne airport, just 45 minutes to Creissan, Montpelier 1 hour, Perpignan 1 1/4 hours, and Girona 2 hours. Each airport provides car hire for around £100 per week. There are excellent bus services running throughout Languedoc. French roads are a pleasure to drive on, and stress-free. The TVG train runs from Paris to Languedoc in only 4 hours.


The house is situated in the village centre, close to shops, bar and restaurants, a boules square, along with table tennis areas, and an open air theatre, showing intermittent performances can be found in the park, there are also tennis courts also in the village. The famous Canal du Midi, is just 3 miles away where you can watch the bustle and activity of the canal boats.

Within a short driving distance from the house, there is much to see and do, the region is steeped in history with many places of interest for the visitor to explore, ranging from ancient roman sites, museums, quaint unspoiled villages, to family theme parks and coastal attractions, the area caters for many tastes, with many fine restaurants available, and not forgetting the vignerons where wines can be purchased at very low prices.

During peak seasons we prefer Saturday - Saturday, but can be flexible during mid to low season. 10.00am departure - 4.00pm arrival.

We look forward to the leisurely walks by the Canal du Midi, swimming in the communal pool in Creissan, exploring the many varied aspects of the region, from the Mountains of the ''parc naturel'', the historic villages, and towns, with many good restaurants to choose from, to the lively events that are always taking place somewhere in the vicinity, of course not forgetting the many beaches, then returning to the house for that nice relaxing glass of wine to end the day.

Other: The house has been restored and furnished, and is set on 3 levels, consisting of 3 bedrooms, salon/diner, kitchen, washer with shower, a separate toilet room, and an enclosed courtyard.
