Apartment in Sao Martinho do Porto, Silver Coast, Portugal - 10 Minutes Walk To Stunning Shell Shaped Beach

Situated on the edge of the idyllic coastal town Sao Martinho do Porto, this modern ground floor apartment is a short 10 minute stroll from the sandy beach which curls around the shell shaped bay. The 3 bedroom apartment sleeps 6 and has two bathrooms with a jacuzzi bath and shower, a large lounge with dining area and a separate fully equipped kitchen. Within the gated complex there is a swimming pool, complete with sun loungers, and a tennis court for you to enjoy. There is also a Table Tennis room. The traditional town has a daily market and a monthly open air antiques fair. In the town and along the seafront, you will find bars, coffee houses and lovely restaurants. For golf enthusiasts, there are several courses in the surrounding area. Other activities include horse riding, mountain biking and water sports.

Very big apartment in a good location

Big apartment in a good location. It's about a 10 min walk to the beachfront.

Good sized pool. Wifi only at one side of pool though so rather awkward if you are dressed.

Great accomodation, very well equipped, with great pool very near, great location to town

The accomodation was very modern, comfortable and very well equipped, great size bedrooms with our 4 childrens sharing the rooms and us in the double. The rooms are good sizes and have adequate storerage and 2 good size bathrooms (great hot tub bath).

The pool is very near and a good size with adequate sunloungers to use, the pool never seemed to get busy and it was great for the kids to play in.

Town is a 15 minute walk away and easily done from the apartment, a supermarket is 15 minute walk along the road which was great for self catering.

Over all we had a great week, with great weather and Sao Martinho is perfect as a family break, superb beach and things to do.

The owner (Nia) was fantastic in corresponding and providing information prior to our stay and was quick in dealing with questions and providing information.

Overall a great holiday and can highly recommend the apartment.

Great stay, lovely area. Would book again.

My family and i have just come back from staying at this lovely apartment. It was clean and tidy and the pool was fab although a tad cold!

We had a lovely stay and would book again.

It was 10 minutes walk to the local beach which was beautiful.

If i could just say one thing, it would be that the wi-fi area wasn't the best. There was no internet in the apartment and the only place you could get it was by the pool, but in one specific area that everyone was fighting for. The tv channels were limited to 8 and all in Portuguese but there was plenty of DVD's to watch instead. Other than that, we had a great time and would definitely recommend this apartment.

Perfection

The apartment was excellent all facilities were provided immaculately clean ,plenty of towels and linen . The complex is ideal with the pool and tennis court and all very secure and your provision of books ,videos and beach gear perfect ,we highly recommend it and hopefully will be back in the near future regards

Location

From the Owner

The Silver Coast of Portugal is unspoilt and is ideal for family holidays. The pool and tennis court are great for enjoying the complex. The location is easy to get to and from and it's a nice stroll into the town for dinner and to the beach.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Train : Sao Martinho do Porto at 0.2 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Sao Martinho do Porto at 0.25 Kilometres

Coast/Beach:

The apartment is about 250m from the beautiful shell shaped bay of Sao Martinho do Porto. This is an ideal family beach. A little further afield, Nazare and Foz do Arelho are ideal for surfing.

Travel:

Lisbon International Airport is approximately one hour's drive while Porto Airport is just over 2 hour's drive. We recommend hiring a car if you wish to explore the surrounding areas although this is not an absolute necessity as there are numerous local amenities all within walking distance. From both Lisbon and Porto trains stop at Sao Martinho do Porto. Allow approx 3 hours. Express coach service from Lisbon. Approx 1.5 hours.

Distances:

Nazare with its inviting busy nightlife is 10 minutes away. Obidos Lagoon, the biggest salt water lagoon in Portugal is 15 minutes drive.

Further Details:

Millennium bcp bank with ATM in town. Supermarket, convenience stores and small grocery shops in Sao Martinho do Porto itself as well as butchers and fishmongers. There is a daily market for fresh produce. Selection of restaurants and bars within walking distance.
