15 of us stayed 3 nights for my 40th. House has everything you need, spacious and well equipped. We will definitely be back. The Hoebridge is close and a superb restaurant, we also got a Sainsbury delivery on the first day and a Chinese delivered which was ideal.

Stunning!!!

We spent a long weekend with our family (8 adults in total) at Tweed Rig and had such a fabulous, relaxing time. The house was stunning, very clean, with lovely decor and extremely well equipped in all the rooms (especially the kitchen). The layout of the kitchen/dining/living space meant that we could all be together yet not feel cramped at all, and the cooks could participate fully in all the fun! Bedrooms were very comfortable and it was great for everyone to have their own en-suite. And then there were the views ................ just absoutely gorgeous, even in the pouring rain.. The location of Tweed Rig makes the most of the beautiful countryside and the peaceful surroundings. All-in-all, no complaints and nothing but praise for this beautiful holiday home. And Jean was so accommodating in arranging an early entry and late departure so that we could make the most of our long weekend - thank you!!

Light, bright house

Ten of us spent a great week in this lovely house. The huge living space (kitchen/dining room/lounge) is ideal for a large group and everyone could be included - plenty of space to relax, cook and dine. The house was spotlessly clean and well-prepared for our arrival. The kitchen is adequately equipped for a large group.

We had expected to have access to six bedrooms but discovered that the bunk beds are situated in a doorless area ('gallery') at the top of a staircase which limited privacy. Also, the family room on the ground floor does not have a door. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house for large groups. Added treat of being able to sit in the sunshine on the balcony at the end of September, admiring the beautiful view!

There are plenty of places to visit in the area (Melrose Abbey, Dawyck Botanical Garden, Mr Smail's Printing Works in Innerleithen, gardens at Floors Castle, and the gallery and walks around Harestanes especially) and good walks from the house.

Fantastic house with a WOW factor.

Lovely property that suited all of us - fifteen family members from 73 to 3 years of age. House had everything to suit us all so we had family games nights, balcony barbecue days, local swimming outings, family rounders match in local park, walking and hill climbing outings and chats with friendly locals. Thank you to Debi and Jean for making this a memorable holiday.

Comfortable and spacious. The main living area is the perfect layout for a large group.

We had a wonderful holiday here. Peaceful and comfortable and easy access to everything we wanted to see and do. There are some lovely walks right from the property and the stroll into Melrose across the footbridge was perfect. The house was very well equipped and after an initial Tesco delivery, Melrose had everything we needed by way of food, as well as some great pubs and places for tea.

Both Seasons and Hoebridge in Gattonside welcomed 11 of us and provided delicious meals. Would highly recommend both!

Perfect for large groups and the house has everything you could ever need. Perfect!!

There were 10 adults and 2 children with another 3 for the party to celebrate my 60th. Tweed Rig was absolutely perfect and we wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend it to anyone. Immaculate, spacious and very well equipted. Awesome views and set in lovely village a stones throw from Melrose. Thank you Jean and Debbie.
