1st Floor Apartment With Balcony And Extensive Views Of Sea And Old Town

Updated: 06-Aug-2016
Apartment in Bol, Island of Brac, Dalmation Coast, Croatia - Fantastic Location, 10 Mins Walk To Town And Beach, 2 Mins To Large Supermarket

Welcome to my holiday apartment! I purchased it ten years ago just after it was built, so it’s a clean, modern building. The apartment is 1st floor and has a balcony facing south towards the sea, another small balcony looks over the town of Bol. It’s a spacious, open plan design with a kitchen, dining area and living room. It has two good-sized bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed and the second is a twin. Both rooms have wardrobes and bedside lockers. I have small children so there’s a travel cot in the apartment and a high chair. If extra accommodation is required, there is a double bed-settee in the living room. The bathroom is fully tiled with a shower, WC and large wash basin. The apartment has air conditioning. All the balcony doors and all the windows have external shutters which should be closed at night. They protect the property from winter storms and keep out the hot summer sun. They’re also useful if you want to sleep on in the morning.

About the Owner

I am married to Geoff and we live in Fulham, London with our two girls, Ella 5 and Penny 3. We have taken the girls since they were a few months old and both have enjoyed Bol and the beaches and handled the travelling well. There was everything we needed for them in the shops, and we managed to eat out most nights and enjoy a relaxed holiday.

We love the gentle stroll to Zlatni Rat, under the pine trees, then taking a swim in the clear waters, which is so refreshing. We also love eating the ice cream and watching the world go by in the town's relaxing bars. The apartment is in a quiet area of Bol, which is very traditional, which is what we want from a holiday. Bol is very relaxing and a world away from London, the only noise you hear on a morning is the ringing of the monastery bells.

Hi Claire, we had a great time thanks. The flat was really clean and well equipped, which was a great first impression. We used the dinghy that you had left and it was a great hit. We had lovely food in restaurants and the atmosphere in the town is really nice and friendly. The clear water was amazing and made quite an impression on us. Helen 2014

We had a brilliant holiday, the apartment, the info on how to get there and what to do and the service we got from CCP were all very good. Only positive feedback and we would recommend to friends!

Beautiful Bol

Nice. Such a cool, relaxing place!

We arrived in Bol and walked into a nice, cool, spacious and well located apartment. It was exactly as described in the listing. Had all the necessary equipment for a no hassle stay and there was a representative on hand to attend to any requirements. The agent met us in town upon arrival, brought us to the apartment and provided a map full of things to do and suggestions of things to see. The apartment is in a quiet part of town, a short stroll to the center but far enough out to enjoy some quiet time sitting on the balcony drinking some of the local wine (which is very good i might add!). At night theres a nice breeze that rolls over the mountain and brings some cool relief to a warm day. You can hear the crickets and see thae stars up here away from the light pollution. It really does feel like you are beginning to unwind.

The best thing about the apartment, is its proximity to a number of very good local, family-run restaurants. Go to Ranc for a quality grill (massive sharer plate for 2 - even I struggled and I eat like a horse!), washed down with some local blackberry grappa or hit up Vagabundo down on the shore front for some fine dining. Zlatni Rat is what you will want to see as soon as you set foot in Bol. Its a 15 minute stroll under the pine trees and when you get there, you wont be disappointed. The water is crystal clear and there are plenty of beach bars, juice bars and snack shacks to refuel at. I would recommend hiring a car and driving around the Island (Brac). There are many pretty towns and villages and restaurants to stop at. Book an excursion and head over to Hvar for the day/night. Hire a small motor boat and find your own private beach along the coast. There are plenty of options for excursions in and around Bol...whether it be culinary or adrenalin, social or reaxation. It's all there for you to choose from. At the end of a beautiful day in the sun...you can go back to a comfortable apartment and unwind and plan your next day of fun. I would recommend the apartment to anyone. Its great value, has obviously been looked after and will no doubt be popular due to its great location and good value for money. Enjoy! Ben, London. From the Owner

We came to Croatia with the original plan to go island hopping as our friends had done the previous year. So we flew into Split and stayed the night there, the next day we went to the harbour and pointed to a picture of Zlatni Rat and asked to go there. So we jumped on the ferry and arrived in Bol. We rented a small apartment overlooking the sea and decided not to go any further as it was so perfect and peaceful. Walking around Bol we saw a property sales office and I talked to the owner and took her card, 6 months later I was back looking at the few apartments that were availible and decided to buy, very scary at the time, but worth the week of sleepless nights I had afterwards when trying to get the money together!
