Apartment in Frigiliana, Costa Del Sol, Spain - Large Balcony, Two En-suites And Peaceful Location

The apartment offers bright spacious accommodation for up to 4 people. The terrace has a table and 4 chairs and 2 sun loungers. There is a shared pool and jacuzzi set in gardens with mountain and sea views.The pool is open from May - Oct The lounge has two leather sofas, TV and a DVD player. There is also a dining table with seating for 6. Both bedroom have en-suites. It is 5 minutes drive to the beaches at Nerja, 50 minutes from Malaga airport and an hour and a half from Granada and the Alhambra and the ski slopes. There is a regular bus service to Nerja. The nearest golf course is about twenty minutes drive away. Situated within the old part of the stunning, award winning village of Frigiliana, with its white washed houses and cobbled streets. This apartment is ideally situated to explore the village and search out the many tucked away restaurants and small bars.

About Louise Hudson

I live in England with my husband and 2 children. We enjoy spending as much time as possible in Frigiliana and it feels very much like home. Over the years we have made many friends with other apartment owners, our guests who have returned over the years and with the very friendly locals and bar/restaurant owners, with whom we meet up with when on holiday and enjoy every minute we are there.

Why Louise Hudson chose Axarquia (Costa del Sol)

We first visited Frigiliana with my mother in law and fell in love with the village. We had the opportunity to purchase another so our friends and guests could also enjoy this beautiful place. The village is very Spanish and has a lovely safe feel to it along with its wonderful cobble streets and everybody is so friendly. Only a short drive from the town of Nerja and its many beaches. It's less than an hours drive from Malaga Airport.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment has a fabulous spacious South facing balcony, which is partly covered and has fantastic views out to the Mediterranean and surrounding countryside. The spacious fitted Kitchen with granite worktops is ideal for our needs and the washing machine is essential with the children. The Living Room is large with separate Dining area but we tend to live on the balcony in the summer. Both Bedrooms are En-suite which is ideal for our guests. It's location is ideal again as a short stroll to the centre of the village. The communal pool is one of the largest in the village completely safe as secure card entry and has plenty of room for sunbathing and playing.

Perfect location, Amazing views, very clean Everything you need, two en suites.. just delightful.

Love this place. Has a few steps to get up but you don't feel it after the first few times. Everything is within walking distance and is just a stunningly beautiful town. The apartment has everything you need. The instructions to use the wifi ECT where all straightforward. Terrace had the best views I've ever seen!!! Breathtaking!! love to stay again.

Lovely winter break

Really nice apartment with fantastic views sunshine from early morning till late evening . Louise let us stay till late afternoon on our departure day as we had a late flight home. Would recommend. Frigiliana is a beautiful village unspoilt.

We are just back from a weeks stay here and it was amazing. Great location, lovely pool area and lovely apartment with everything you need. Louise is very helpful in giving you all the information you might need. All in all a great stay and we will definitely be back.

Location

We first visited Frigiliana with my mother in law and fell in love with the village. We had the opportunity to purchase another so our friends and guests could also enjoy this beautiful place. The village is very Spanish and has a lovely safe feel to it along with its wonderful cobble streets and everybody is so friendly. Only a short drive from the town of Nerja and its many beaches. It's less than an hours drive from Malaga Airport.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Malaga at 60 Kilometres Nearest Ski : Sierra Nevada at 142 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Nerja at 6 Kilometres Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

Nerja boasts two blue flag beaches, Calahonda and Burriana, about 10 minutes drive, 15 minutes by bus, from Frigiliana. With lifeguards in season. There are also many quiet coves along the coast.

Travel:

Malaga airport is about a 50 min drive, nearly all major and Budget Airlines fly to Malaga Airport. There is are large selection of car rental companies situated within Malaga Airport, recommend you book online prior to arrival for convenience. For recommendations please ask! There is also regular buses from Malaga to Nerja, and Nerja to Frigiliana.

Distances:

Malaga City, with its historic centre and Picasso museum is 40 miles, 50 mins away. Granada, Sierra Nevada and Alhambra 1 hour 30 mins, all 3 can be done in one fascinating day. Advance booking essential for the Alhambra. Seviilla and Cordoba, less than 3 hours and Ronda about 2 hours. Mijas 1 hour, Marbella 1 hour 30 minutes, Gibraltar 2 hours.

Further Details:

Frigiliana has a good range of shops including souvenir shops, artists studio, a butcher, fishmonger, bakery and several small supermarkets. There are several banks with ATMs (not all free!) and a tourist office where they speak English and are very helpful. Nerja has several large supermarkets. Village tours, horse riding, mountain walks can all be arranged locally. Restaurants serve a mixture of both local and international. Nerja caves, one of Spain's most visited attractions are 10-15 minutes drive. The village itself is a very popular day trip from many of the coastal resorts. Its quaint cobbled streets are steeped in history, detailed on a series of ceramic plaques about the village.

  • Notes on accommodation: There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms for the warmer months, and there is a heater for the cooler months. We can provide additional extras such as a welcome pack on arrival including, bread, milk, water etc cost dependant on requirements. We can also provide a travel cot and camp bed, please contact for costs. Outside: Large shared pool and jacuzzi, with gardens, showers, toilets and changing rooms, and has panoramic views over the surrounding countryside and mountains. The pool is open from 15th April - late October. The large balcony has a table and four chairs, parasol and 2 sun loungers. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and bath towels are provided, these will be changed weekly. The apartment is cleaned throughout before all arrivals.
