Situated in Park Street, leading from Masham's Market Square, Clipstone Cottage is a finely built traditional terraced cottage. Clipstone has been recently refurbished to a high standard to ensure a comfortable stay. The cottage has been awarded a 4 Star rating by Visit Britain for 2016-17, quality in tourism. The Market Square, one of the largest market squares in the North of England, hosts weekly and speciality markets such as the annual Sheep Fair every September. Other events in Masham include a Summer Music Festival, an Autumn Arts Festival and in July a Steam Rally. There are plenty of walks to suit ramblers of all abilities and for real ale fans the town is home to The Black Sheep brewery and the Theakstons brewery.

About The Owner

The property is owned by Iain and Julie Mclain, we have lived and owned property in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales for many years.

Our housekeeper Jane lives in the area and is on hand to prepare the cottage for your stay.

On street parking outside the cottage, also off street parking in a layby directly opposite the cottage. There is also parking in the nearby Market Square. Wonderful cottage amazing location

A lovely homely cottage with everything you could need for a great holiday. We have just spent a wonderful new year in this cottage which is spacious, clean and comfy. The location is great with 3 pubs all within 5 mins walk from the cottage. Had a good meal in the Kings Head and scrummy fish and chips from the takeaway. We parked our car on arrival and did not use it again until we packed up to come home. There are wonderful walks of around 7 mile from the cottage door. The owner has thought of everything even supplying printed and laminated walks ready for use. We will definitely go again and I will recomend this cottage to friends and family. Thanks for a great holiday.

Cosy Cottage

Spent another great New Year in this lovely cottage. The cottage is very clean and furnished to a high standard. The kitchen is a good size and is well equipped. There are some nice walks from the village, and some good food served at the Kings Head and the lovely White Bear. Can recommend this cottage for a nice break in the Dales.
