Newly refurbished 3 bedroom apartment sleeping a maximum of 6 people.

the master bedroom has a double bed with 2 bedside tables with lamps each side,walk in wardrobe and en suite bathroom with shower.

bedroom 2 has a double bed with bedside tables and lamps each side with a walk in wardrobe.

bedroom 3 consists of 2 single beds with lamps overhead and 1 bedside table and wardrobe.

the sitting area has 2 large black sofas. extendable dining table and 6 chairs and flat screen tv.

french doors opens out on to a small balcony with 2 chairs and incredible view of the beach.

the bathrooms are fully tiled and the apartment has laminate flooring throughout and the kitchen has electric oven and hob with extractor hood, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, plenty of worktop space and fully equipped.

full linen is provided

Golden Sands apartment- Marina Cafe

Wow, what a stunning location! I stayed in the Golden Sands apartment for a week with my Mum and 18 month old daughter. The apartment is comfortable and clean. The beds were nice and there was the travel cot and high chair available.

The balcony has the most amazing view of the beach, and the patio doors mean you can sit back and relax on the sofa and just watch the scenery. The fact that you are RIGHT on the beach makes for an excellent excuse to go walking or paddling on the beach whenever you fancy! The balcony felt very stable and (although I never left her alone on the balcony) I wasn't worried about my toddler trying to climb through the railings.

The main concern we had during our stay was the parking; we arrived on the Friday night and after we unloaded the car (we parked in the council car park - it was after 5.30pm so didn't have to pay) and then drove off to find Dunes Restaurant to park for free. Unfortunately there were no spaces left (it's quite small - about 7 spaces available), so we had to leave our car in the main car park over night. We drove to check the Dunes car park again the following morning before the ticket office opened at the council car park, but unfortunately there were still no spaces. The cost to park for the day in the council car park is £12, which wouldn't be a problem but we were under the impression there would always be room at Dunes. However, I was in touch with Clare that morning and she very quickly resolved the problem as best as possible (the owners were away the week we stayed). I hope the parking ticket which is being negotiated between the owners and the council can be sorted soon, as it was the only main issue we had. Saying that, after the weekend we had no problems at all with parking and were able to park for free in Dunes for the remainder of our stay.

During our stay we went on the Kent & East Sussex steam railway from Bodiam to Tenterden, which was very sweet. We also visited Bodiam Castle and Bateman's - both National Trust - and there was lots of room for an adventurous toddler to play and very nice tearooms for the adults :) We visited Hastings seafront and loved the attractions on the beach, the aquarium and had a nice potter around the Castle (having gone up on the West Cliff lift). I would also recommend Jempsons Supermarket in Peasmarsh as a place to do the main shopping.

A very pleasant stay - will come again!

Historic Rye and Hastings old town a short drive, also the Ashford outlet centre is just 30 mins drive away for all discount top branded outlet shops.

Further Details:

If you get bored with beach life there is plenty more to see and do. Shop 200 yards and the Dunes Bar and Restaurant is just a few mins walk open from 12 noon till late, with the best wines and spirits and all local purchased meat from the Romney area.

  • Notes on accommodation: There is Parking directly outside the building which is council run and can change up to £15 per day or we have our own carpark free of charge a 2 minute walk from the apartments which also has a security camera survallience. There is roughly 15 stairs to climb to the apartment which is on a first floor. This is not sutable for people with health or disabled people. Outside: French door opens out onto large balcony with table, parasol and four chairs - incredible views! This area looks direct onto Cambers very own and sandy beach and also looks over the Rye Bay.
