This is a beautifully maintained park, which has been awarded a David Bellamy Gold award for its conservation efforts is midway between Ambleside and Windermere in the midst of superb Lakeland countryside. On-site there is a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and fitness suite, a relaxing bar and a fully licensed restaurant. A takeaway service is also available if you prefer to eat in the comfort of your own accommodation. Laundry facilities and a well stocked shop and off license complete the indoor amenities. Outdoor there is children's play area and tennis courts. Sailing and water sports enthusiasts can enjoy the marina at White Cross Bay which offers one of the best boat launching facilities on Lake Windermere. A stream meanders its way through the park encouraging ducks, swans and other wildlife. Within easy walking distance are the Low Wood Water Sports centre and the Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole. Live entertainment most weekends in peak season.

Hi there,

Just thought I'd send a wee email to say how much we enjoyed our stay at your lodge. We have stayed in quite a few lodges all over the uk and yours was the loveliest, most homely lodge by far! Loved all the books, dvd's that we could watch, and the bottle of wine on arrival was very thoughtful, and tasty! Not to mention the delightful hot tub! The boathouse bar was great and the kids had lots of fun at the play park, and in the big swimming pool with the clean changing areas. Great family break all round, thank you very much and will definitely be back.

The lodge is spacious and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen. Little touches like having an en-suite and a TV in the bedroom we really appreciated. There are plenty of books/videos to entertain and the park facilities are excellent. Leave the M6 at junction 36, then at roundabout take the exit onto the A590 (signposted Kendal, Barrow). The A590 becomes the A591 - Continue onto the A591 (signposted Windermere)

at roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A591

Continue on the A591 through Stavely and Ings before entering Windermere.

At mini-roundabout straight across (Ambleside)

Follow A591 for for a couple of miles and White Cross Bay is on the left.

Distances:

Windermere 2 miles, Ambleside 2 miles.

Further Details:

The Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole is less than a mile from the lodge and the water sports centre at Low Wood is 1 mile.

The Sun Inn at Troutbeck Bridge (half a mile) offers good food - where there is also a garage with a Spar shop. Banks and Booths supermarket are both in Windermere.

We ask for a deposit of £100 to confirm your booking, the balance is due 6 weeks before your holiday. A separate damage deposit cheque of £150 is required with the balance.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is usually Saturday. Short breaks are available Friday to Monday and Monday to Friday. Out of season other periods are bookable. Arrival time 4pm. Departure 10am.

The Park closes in the middle of January and reopens on the 1st of March 2014.

Outside is a beer garden, children’s play area and tennis courts and a marina. There is a launderette with large capacity washing machines and dryers. Outside: Hot tub for the sole use of guests on a large South facing deck with table and chairs. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels are included in the price.
