Apartment in Antibes, Cote D'Azur - Central Location, 4 Mins Walk To The Beach

The property was totally renovated in Winter 2009 to the highest specification. It is on the first floor of a building that dates back to the 16th century, the small balcony overlooks the Provencal market where 2 people can sit and soak up the atmosphere. Inside are exposed beams, air conditioning and double glazing, keeping it cool and quite in Summer, warm and quite in Winter. The apartment of 54 sq.m. is tastefully decorated simply white with original artwork, a old artisan carved inscription dated 1683 was found during renovation and is now a wall feature. The ceiling's are 3.7 meters high so a great feeling of space. Can sleep up to 5 people, 3 in one separate en-suit bedroom with mezzanine and 2 in a huge lounge, again with mezzanine. The kitchen is open American style along one wall. Car parking can be arranged.

Hi, my name is Geoff, I moved to Antibes in 1974 and started working in the yachting industry, day work and crewing. I have been running a yacht painting business since the late 70's. I have a fantastic local knowledge of the area and consider myself very friendly, helpful, informative and normally have a 'nothing to much trouble' approach to things. I speak English and French, my wife speaks English, Chinese 3 dialects, and Malay. Working in the yachting industry has given me a large circle of friends of different nationality's world wide. Perfect in every way

Many thanks Geoff for letting us rent your lovely apartment. We had a fantastic weeks holiday. The apartment is perfectly placed in the heart of the old town, overlooking the Provençal Market. We loved the location within easy each of everything. The flat is really well appointed, and although we spoiled ourselves by eating out all the time, we could have prepared cordon blu meals with the equipment available! The flat was quiet inside due to the presence of double glazing, however we enjoyed absorbing the atmosphere below by opening the French windows. The air conditioning in both rooms was appreciated allowing the room inhabitants to control the temperature themselves. We fell in love with the barman at the Baccus bar just below the apartment, I would encourage future visitors to pop in here, what is not to love when the wine is cheaper than cola. Thanks again Geoff, I hope we will return someday.

Great Location

This is the second year in a row that the two of us have stayed at this apartment. You could not get a better location in the middle of the Old Town market in Antibes, surrounded by excellent restaurant's and within easy walking distance of beech & public transport (we did not have a car). The apartment is clean with all the facilities that we needed to use as a base, including a couple of nights in cooking produce from the market. Geoff the owner is a top bloke who could not have been more helpful with his local knowledge. This apartment suited our particular needs and we intend to return in the future.

I purchased the apartment after renting it since 1981, during the Winter 08/09 it was totally renovated, everything new. It is now rented for holiday lets, family and friends as well as using it ourselves when our main house is rented out. The thing I love is the convenience and location, it's on the first floor and right in the middle of old Antibes town where you have shops, restaurants, bars and night life, so no driving, most important no noise problems as it has double glazing with air-con. I have lived in Antibes since 1974 and consider myself very knowledgeable on the area, so for local information, just ask!

Nearest Airport : nice at 6 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Baccus at 10 Metres Nearest Ferry : nice at 6 Kilometres Nearest Golf : biot at 6 Kilometres Nearest Train : Antibes at 900 Metres Nearest Motorway : A8 at 3 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Zinc at 10 Metres Nearest Ski : Auron at 90 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Antibes at 300 Metres Car: not necessary


The beaches are all within walking distance, 3-10 minutes. There are pebble and sandy beaches.


Nice international airport is about 25 minutes drive. A car is not needed as public transport is very good and inexpensive, the no. 200 and 250 bus from the airport runs to Antibes every half hour. The train station is 10 minutes walk to the apartment.


Cannes is 10 minutes by train by far the best way to visit. Nice is 25 minutes drive. Monaco is about 35 minutes by train.

Further Details:

Everything you should need is all within a short walking distance, banks, shops, hundreds of different restaurants bars, live music, craft shops and more.

Refundable Damage Deposit £300

Booking Notes:
A deposit of 25% payable at the time of reservation, balance payable prior to 8 weeks of arrival date (we reserve the right to re-book the accommodation if the balance is not paid within 8 weeks). A security deposit of 350€ will be collected at arrival and returned in full at departure if the apartment is left clean and tidy and no damage has occurred. It is advisable to have your own insurance in case of major damage or accidents. A cleaning/linen charge 50€ to be added for up to 3 people.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day preferred Friday/Saturday but flexible, departure by 9.30 hrs, arrivals 17.00 hours, other times by arrangement. A fee may be charged for late arrivals and early departures.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for up to 3 people per week in pounds sterling, enquire for 4/5 people. Extra cost may apply to special events. i.e. Monaco Grand Prix, Cannes Film Festival, Antibes Yacht Show and certain public holidays, Christmas, Easter, school holidays. Longer Winter lets considered.

  • Notes on accommodation: The apartment has separate air/con units for each room and is ideal for a family of 4. No smoking and no pets. Outside: The apartment has a small balcony, suitable for 2 chairs, cloth's drying rack and auto watered balcony flowers pots. Below the balcony are many bars and restaurants, very quiet inside the apartment due to the double glazing. Utility Room: Vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board. hair dryer Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels (not beach towels)and bedlinen supplied, changed once a week or by arrangement. A 50€ fee will be applied for 'end of stay' cleaning and linen use for up to 3 people and 70 euro for 4/5 people.
