Nested in the middle of 35 acres of private land, the Dezie Manor has three independent holiday homes (around 250sqm each) with private heated pools that sleep 6/8 people, offering an authentic atmosphere with a warm and cosy interior, associating traditional architecture and the lifestyle of a true family home.

The property is located in the heart of Perigord near all the touristic attractions this 17th century Manor was built before the French revolution using the traditional stone work so typical of this region of France.

This property is a perfect expression of stone work and carpentry. It’s pure architecture with a modern cosy inside.

The main house comprises 3 bedrooms, all en-suite and a very large living area.

The Grange is spacious with it’s 250sqm surface plus a large covered terrace beside the pool. The private 4 acre park has mature trees for shade, landscaped english garden and private drive way for absolute privacy.

The large living room is luminous with 2 large sliding doors and gives straight on to it's private 12X5 heated pool with full width steps and luxurious travertine stone terrace overlooking the south valley.

As people who enjoy good food and cooking, we have provided everything we would hope to find in a fully equipped kitchen to make cooking a delight

The BBQ is ready for those beautiful summer evenings.

Amongst the best that you'll find in the Dorbodge

We stayed at The Grange in August 2015 and yes, it’s as good, if not better than it looks. Within minutes of arriving Grant & Kiki made us feel extremely welcome and were on hand if we needed them throughout our stay. I unfortunately picked up a puncture to my car en route from the coast but within 5 minutes Grant had booked me an appointment at a local garage

The quality of the conversions are second to none and it’s clear how much time and care has been taken by Grant over the last 11 years. The kitchen and bathrooms are to the very highest standards but with quirky touches at every turn. The 1960’s vintage table football proves to be a real winner too.

Wonderful outdoor dining space around the heated pool makes it hard to drag yourself away and what isn’t apparent until you arrive is just how tranquil this location is. Perched on a hill with views across the sweeping countryside there’s no passing traffic to spoil the peace and quiet.

Unlike other areas of the Dordogne the property is located far enough from the tourist traps to give you space but everything you’d want to see is only a short drive away. Vergt, the nearest town is a delight with a great weekly market on Friday whilst local villages of Saint Alvere and Cendrieux, as well as Les Eyzies are all well worth a visit.

Having travelled extensively throughout France in the last 10 years this is by far the best all round property we’ve booked. I’m usually suspicious of really good websites but The Grange is actually better than anything you can view in a photo – style AND substance – highly recommended.

Stunning property in a beautiful location!

We had a fantastic 2 week stay in the Grange - what a lovely place. So relaxing, so well laid out and beautifully designed. In fact it was hard to leave the place so we didn't very often!! We did visit a local cave (stunning) and acquarium (fun but busy on a rare rainy day!) - even made it to Sarlat but it was just so busy compared to the tranquillity of the villa! The accommodation is very comfortable and there was easily room for our group of 6. The house stayed very cool even on the hottest of days if you kept the windows closed all day. Grant & Kiki are wonderfully helpful - literally nothing was too much trouble! We had a couple of superb meals out at restaurants booked for us by Grant. The ponies were a total bonus for our 10 yr old daughter too. We really liked Vergt, the nearest small town - lovely night market there as well as a good day one. All in all we would love to return, but probably won't bother leaving the house at all next time! The pool and terrace are

just superb places to be, and the view is lovely too. Can't recommend it highly enough!

beautiful rural setting and well equipped

The Grange is in a beautiful setting with views down over a valley. The outside covered 'living' area is spacious and the pool is clean and well landscaped, with plenty of sun loungers available. Inside is open plan for the living area / kitchen- the table football and large TV were well used by the kids on the couple of days when the weather wasn't so kind. Bedrooms remain cool with the stone walls, and fans were provided for the hotter nights. Grant was on hand if needed, without being intrusive. The nearest supermarket was a 10 minute drive and there was a good choice of places to visit / eat locally, with Bergerac and Perigueux 20-30 minutes away. Overall, we would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing break in a rural area.

The cottage - wonderful

Absolutely wonderful! Just returned from 2 weeks in the Grange, we totally loved it. Peaceful retreat in the middle of nowhere, run by lovely, helpful people (& of course Dougie the dog) who you cannot recommend highly enough. Although the weather was varied, few days of beautiful sunshine and likewise few days of rain the environment led itself to complete relaxation.

Everything you could want in a self catering stay was available - fully stacked kitchen complete with dishwasher & ice dispensing fridge - 3 double bedrooms with great en suites - wifi - uk tv - table tennis - fussball table - heated pool which was always inviting - bbq's - covered outside area for the shade seekers (me!!!).

Local town is 5 mins away with plenty of boulangeries to get those required croissants in the morning, a spar & two bigger supermarkets within easy driving distance.

We found Bergerac & Perigreux to be nice places to visit & Grant was kind enough to place us a reservation at Chez Julien...beautiful food & wine

Will def return, maybe the cottage next time :-) 5*

Gorgeous Grange

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Grange with our Labrador. The standard of this accommodation is outstanding in terms of décor, cleanliness and facilities. The location of the property is idyllic and peaceful with superb views. Shops and villages are a very short drive away. My partner is a chef by profession so we eat in rather than out so we are unable to comment on local restaurants. Grant was very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Whilst security was not an issue during our stay, we would have preferred a lockable entrance door to aid peace of mind. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will not hesitate to recommend the Dezie Domain to friends and family. Thank you Grant.

Christelle and I fell in love with the "Old Dezie Manor" the first day we visited it, it was in desperate need of restoration but we really wanted to give this amazing property the restoration it deserved. After 10 years of hard work The Old Dezie has become a little paradise...

There are excellent restaurants in the nearby villages where we can book a tables for you on demand.

For outdoor activities there's is a good riding school minutes away, canoeing trip on the nearby Dordogne River, tree adventure park, and for our most adventurous guests hot air balloon rides.

Plenty of prehistorical Caves and medieval Castle to visit in the area.

PONY RIDE ON SITE, on demand, free of charge.


Bordeaux - Dunes of Arcachon, just over 2 hour drive. Rivers and Lakes, many of the local lakes have beaches, some with slides/swimming platforms and lifeguards during the high season.


It is an easy journey from the UK whether by car or plane. We are approx 350 miles from St Malo and 500 miles from Calais and Boulogne. Both are easy journeys using the excellent French motorway network. If you'd like us to recommend a simple route - just ask. By air: Bergerac 35 mins with direct low cost flights from Stansted, Liverpool, Birmingham, Leeds, Southampton or Bristol. Bordeaux 2 hours direct flights from Manchester, East Midlands (Nottingham) and Gatwick.


The Old Dezie Domain is situated in the heart of the Dordogne.

Cendrieux, the nearest village, is 5 min away and has it's village shop, lovely restaurant, bar tabac, post office. Le Bugue 15km/15 mins tourist activities, restaurants, numerous supermarkets and weekly market. Vergt 10km/10 mins supermarket, markets and restaurants. Les Eyzies 20km/20 mins pre-historic caves and museums. Sarlat 40km/45 mins famous medieval town.

The Dordogne Valley offers Peace and tranquillity and plenty of activities, fine wines and cuisine, rivers and stunning countryside, hundreds of years of history and even a golf course nearby.

Perigord Noir is the heart of the Dordogne offering a variety of landscapes, flamboyant chateaux and the centre of prehistoric history.

All the main attractions are within easy reach - of which these are just a taster: The vineyards of Bergerac, Bordeaux and St Emilion are within easy reach and regional delicacies include - truffles, foie gras, duck, walnuts and strawberries.

For the energetic the rivers and stunning countryside offer are boundless opportunities for walking, horse-riding, cycling, golf (4km), canoeing and fishing or simply relaxing by the pool or on the shores of the many lakes and rivers.

The Dordogne & Vezere rivers are just 15 minutes away.

Hundreds of years of history - Prehistoric Caves – the world famous Lascaux caves are nearby, Châteaux and fortified villages. Beynac & Castelnaud Castles – are fine examples originally dating back to the 100 years war between France & England. Some of the most beautiful villages and towns in France are within easy reach – Perigueux (regional capital), Sarlat, La Roque – Gageac, Rocamadour. Le Bugue - aquarium, re-created village, canoeing, caves. Bastide towns - Lalinde, Monpazier, Eymet.

Excellent shopping - Enjoy shopping the local way at one of the many local markets, or for your day to day requirements there are also numerous shopping opportunities minutes away in Le Bugue, Vergt, and the regional capital Perigueux.
