Townhouse in Parque da Floresta, Western Algarve, Portugal - Overlooks the 18th green, next door to the resort restaurant & bar and 3 km to the beach at Salema.

Our townhouse is situated in what we believe is one of the prime locations on the resort with fantastic views across the whole resort as well as the local hills and out towards the Atlantic. It's perfectly situated next to the clubhouse and 40m away from the 2 large pools. The house also overlooks the 18th green of the renowned Parque da Floresta golf course with extensive views over the 1st, 10th & 18th holes. The wider resort also includes an extensive spa, treatment centre, gym, sauna, indoor pool, golf driving range as well as 4 tennis courts. There are a no. of bars and restaurants on the resort as well as being close to a large no. of unspoilt beaches facing Atlantic on the west coast and the south coast.

The house is also close to a no. of other top golf courses within a 20-30 minutes drive and the bustling town of Lagos with its marina, beaches, shops & restaurants is only 15 minutes away.

Wi fi is available in the spike bar which is right next door to the house.

Great Holiday fantastic property location

We have had another great holiday staying in this great accommodation. Fantastic views over the 10th we enjoyed watching the tee offs from our balcony, even better watching the approach shots to the 18th which was literally under our noses! Great location for access to the spike clubhouse and the main pools. which our kids loved. The accommodation had everything our family needed for a relaxing holiday. Maid service provided during our stay was very welcomed. The John & Jill the owners have been very helpful and responsive to our booking and all questions which we really appreciated. We have just got home and our 3 kids have asked when they can go back...Chris

Location

From the Owner

We first holidayed with some other relatives in the Parque da Floresta resort by renting a house nearby and then liked the resort and the area so much we decided to purchase ourselves along with other family members. The Western Algarve has so much to offer and we still see more every time we visit whether its local attractions, golf courses, towns, villages, beaches, walks or restaurants and as such the area allows you to have a complete rest or a more active holiday.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Parque da Floresta is a 5 minute drive to the nearest beach at Salema. It's also within minutes of many other unspoilt beaches and villages along this stretch of the Western Algarve coastline. The beaches range from quiet family beaches facing mainly south right up to renowned surfing beaches mainly facing west and are all within a 15 minutes drive. This is also excellent walking country, as its on the edge of the national park and has fantastic coastal walks in all directions.

Travel:

Parque da Floresta is just over 1 hours' drive from Faro airport. Full details of this simple and mainly motorway drive can be provided if required. Car hire is recommended although taxi transfers to and from the airport are easy to arrange or if you have more time you can take the slow train from Faro to Lagos and then get a taxi from Lagos to the house.

Distances:

The house is less than a minutes’ walk to either the communal children’s or adult pools, the spa, the gym, the golf course or the golf clubhouse and its restaurants. It's also a 20 minute walk to the tennis courts, resort reception and the Italian restaurant. The nearest beach is a 5 minute drive to Salema and it's a 15 minute drive to the large town of Lagos, with many other villages closer by. The resort is also 9 miles from Cape St Vincent - Portugal’s Lands’ End and Sagres.

Further Details:

On site there are a no. of different themed restaurants from the O'Parque restaurant and bar snack service within the spike bar, a poolside snack bar available during peak times and an excellent Italian restaurant next to the resort reception which also does a takeaway pizza service. The Italian and pool bars are normally only open from early June through to early November.

In addition there is a fully staffed children's fun club available during the school holiday period and a well maintained children's play area. Other local activities including scuba diving, horse riding and water sports are all available within the local area. There are also many excellent restaurants nearby all with a 15 minute walk or drive along the coast in Lagos, Luz, Burgau, Salema, Vila Bispo, Sagres or further inland and which we can give details of on request or there are many flyers on our notice board in the house for places that we or other guests have been to and can recommend.

From the Owner

We believe the house is so convenient and close to everything, both in the resort and in the local area. The views from our terrace are just fantastic and are great to either wake up to in order to watch the sun come up in the morning or to watch the sun set in the evening. The house is less than a minutes stroll from the pools, the bar, the spa and the golf course so could'nt be in a better location on the Parque. We look forward to going back as soon as we come back home and back to work!

Notes:

  • Outside: Our house is in the full sun from 1st light right up until sunset. The property includes a lower terrace accessed from the lounge via double patio doors and which contains a table and six chairs as well as an upper terrace with two sun loungers. You can enjoy fantastic views across the resort, towards the Atlantic and the hills around the coastal village of Salema from the upper terrace. The lower terrace also has a side gate to the pedestrian pathways around the resort. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels (except beach towels) are provided. The house will be cleaned and set up ready for arrival and following departure. Extra maid visits can be arranged if required at an extra cost for longer stays above 3 weeks. Other: An outside storage shed for inflatables. Free Wi Fi is available in the spike bar right next door.
