This fabulous stone farmhouse set in spacious grounds has a private swimming pool and BBQ. It is situated among olive groves and orchards with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The house has a huge terrace with sun all day as well as plenty of shady spots around the gardens. Casa Anna is walking distance to the picturesque Casalanaguida. Its bars are a short walk from the house. Casalanaguida has a variety of shops an
d a pharmacy, supermarket and post office. A short drive takes you to historic town of Vasto with its spectacular views and wonderful beaches. Restaurants abound in the surrounding areas offering a wide choice of exquisite Italian food. There is nothing like the taste of fresh fish in sight of the machine that caught it. Pizza made on a base tossed before your eyes makes a memorable night out for young and old. Casa Anna is a truly fabulous venue for the most memorable holiday.

Lovely pool and garden

The pool is a great size so good for both relaxation and also getting in some exercise. Garden is lovely and peacefull. Great views from the terrace.

Lovely property in beautiful surroundings

Lovely property in a beautiful area, the local village was fantastic and the people were amazing, so friendly and helpful, would definitely consider coming back to this area. The property was extremely well equipped, only downside was that the pool is in an area surrounded by trees so we needed to fish out a lot of leaves and insects frequently, otherwise it was just perfect.

Secluded,rural,Ideal relaxation holiday

Lovely hideaway in the hills.Nicky and David were very helpful in providing all that we needed and Maria who lives nearby was on hand to make sure everything went smoothly whilst not encroaching on our privacy.House has all that you need and a short walk takes you into town for bars/cafe and a small shop for emergency supplies.The coast is not too far away with endless array of places to eat.All in all a very relaxing 10 day break.

Amazing house in peaceful countryside

Wanting a taste of true italy and to experience the more rural side of the country we booked casa anna. The house and location comletely met our brief. Casa anna is located down a farm track in the middle of very rural Abruzzo. It's about a 15 minute walk to the nearest village of Casalanguida which has a couple of bars and shops for essentials. Unfortunately during our stay it was far too hot to walk up there as its uphill (europe was experiencing a heatwave and it was 40+ during the day) but we did drive up (5 minutes) a few times. The villa is about a 30 min drive for Vasto the nearest large town with a large supermarket, restaurants, bars and more touristy stuff. There is an aquapark near vasto which is good if you have children. The villa itself was very well kept and extremely spacious and provided everything we needed for our stay. It really did feel like a home away from home The pool was very welcome especially in the heat. There are lots of different seating areas both inside and out both in the shade and in the sun. The owners were helpful and responsive to queries, and Maria and Juliano who look after the house were lovely. We really loved our stay at casa anna and would return if we were looking to stay in the area again. Abruzzo itself is exceptionally rural and really does provide an experience of true rural italy - be warned the roads are very poor due the environment - there are often mudslides and the roads are swept away, they are often very windy as the area is very hilly! The only negative issue experienced by us was the temperature as italy was experiencing a heatwave, it was very warm both inside the villa and out so we didn't really get to see as much of the surrounding area as we would normally have done.

Welcome to Casaanna a house in an area we love. We discovered Abruzzo in 2006 while burying Nicky's nanan with her husband in the English war cemetery in Val di Sangro. The history and undiscovered beauty of the area captivated us. Two and a bit years later Casa Anna was finished.
The project was very much a labour of love and was completed by the whole family. As you can see we had a fantastic time and took a great deal of pride in finishing it to a very high standard.
It gives us great pleasure to make it available for others to enjoy and discover this area and the friendly people who live here.
The house is a family house that we enjoy with our children and grand children.

Why they chose this property

After discovering the area in 2006 we spent the next couple of years searching for what became Casa Anna.

We were captivated by the area and it's outstanding beauty both on the coast and in the mountains. The houses location on a wooded knoll gives us 360 degree views that you don't tire from.

The weather in the area is superb and the openness of the people make the area enjoyable all year round.

For us the rural location yet easy access to the village, town and coast met the needs of the whole family.

What makes this property unique

The area is totally relaxing! Sitting on the terrace, by the pool or walking in the surrounding woodland and orchards the cares of the world evaporate. Every time we stay we find it difficult to return to life in the UK.

The house itself is a rebuilt farmhouse. Finished to modern standards yet holding the character of traditional stone and sympathetic to the landscape surrounding it.

It's location allows the resident to have a truly relaxing stay and participate in the Italian way of life at your own pace.

The house and it surrounds a very well equipped for a fantastic holiday. The locals are friendly and accommodating.

While being rural the house is still equipped with all the modern items. Like Apple TV, smart TV, WiFi internet throughout.

The house has amazing 360 degree views over the valleys and back to the mountains and village.

The surrounding orchards and olive grows add to the relaxing location. Depending on the season there are apricots, cherries, apples, almonds and olives.
