Next to the beautiful white villages of Benalmadena Pueblo and Mijas. Just 10-15 minutes drive to Fuengirola and the award winning Marina at Benalmadena Port with its luxury bars and restaurants. 15 minutes drive or train from Malaga airport. Marbella and Puerto Banus with the famous billionaires yachts and high-class clubs and bars, is around 25-30 minutes away. Only 10 minutes drive to the Aquapark, Crocodile Park, Zoo and Tivoli world and much more.

We have Sue and Anne who are English to meet you with the keys and show you around, they will be available during your holiday to be of any help.

There are plenty of shopping malls close by. This urbanisation is maintained beautifully and the 'Reserva del Higueron' 5 star hotel is directly next door. A must visit to the adult only cocktail bar and Infinity pool on the roof of the hotel which, is open to the public- very romantic with chill out music of an evening.

Nestled on the side of a mountain, Golf: Benalmadena has many golf courses within 10 to 15 minutes drive.

My husband and I live in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, England and have two boys aged 11 years and 7 years. We are both professionals, in our early forties, non-smokers.

We purchased our apartment in 2004 and furnished it to a very high standard as we had no plans to rent it out, however with school commitments making it difficult to use it as much as we had hoped, we took the tough decision to start renting it out a few years ago.

We've always received very positive feedback and have lots of couples and families who come back year after year.

We enjoy eating out, fine wine and all the good things in life. We can recommend some great restaurants.

Why Tanya & Simon Stevens chose West Costa del Sol

We chose the Costa Del Sol for the weather and with parents living there, it meant we were reasonably familiar with the area.

It's just a 2.5 hour flight journey from the UK and then just a 15 minute drive from Malaga Airport to our apartment.

We chose Benalmadena Pueblo as we fell in love with this typical Spanish white village and it's fantastic restaurants. It's also nestled at the foot of the Mijas mountain, another traditional and beautiful village. It's just far enough away from all the hustle and bustle of Benalmadina port and Fuengirola which can be reached by car in 15 mins and Marbella in 25 mins.

Reserva Del Higueron is regarded as one of the finest developments on the Coast. It's surrounded by a lush green oasis of lawn and palm trees with two large oasis swimming pool

What makes this apartment unique

Our property is furnished with style at heart and very comfortably. It has air-con units in both bedrooms and in the living/dining room. The apartment is just a 20 minute drive to Marbella and 25 minutes to Puerto Banus. It's just minutes to Benalmadena, Mijas and Fuengirola.

Great for children during school holidays, there are so many diverse things to do. It's a fairly quiet urbanisation so you never feel like the place is over run with children, even during peak holiday times.

Out of school holiday times it's ideal for all ages of couples looking for a peaceful break away or golfers as it is located within a short drive of a large number of golf courses. we've used this apartment now for 2 yrs and found it to be well maintained and in an excellent complex, we find it a safe, friendly environment especially as we have 2 young children. We would gladly use the apartment again and would recommend it to anyone. Recommended for: families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Have now used this holiday apartment twice and have thoroughly enjoyed both holidays. We travelled as a family of four (with 2 difficult to please teenagers) and a fantastic time was had by all.

Found the apartment to be exceptionally clean, well equipped and luxuriously furnished. Pool and the gardens were exceptionally well maintained and it never felt too busy or overcrowded. Thoroughly recommend.

The air-conditioning system is operated via a coin meter in the apartment, which costs just 1 Euro for two hours cooling. The use of our neighbours Wifi is available at a cost of 20€ for one week and 30€ for two weeks. The 'Reserva del Higueron' hotel and Sports Club/ Spa directly next door has a heated Indoor pool, spa, sauna, gym, beauty treatments, restaurants, bar and outdoor pools. There are numerous tennis and paddle-tennis courts. This is all available at an additional one-off cost, payable direct to the Club when you are there. Broadband is available free of charge in the hotel and Sports Club. Without a charge there is also a stunning Infinity pool and 'Café Del Mar' style chill-out cocktail bar on the hotel roof- well worth a visit of an evening if you are on an adult only holiday! Bath towels, beach towels and linen are provided. Please note that there is not a mid-week clean of the apartment during your holiday.

Beautiful setting...well maintained apt....lovely pool area

We stayed in the first 2 weeks of July 2017.....with two children aged 9 and 3.First thing to say is the info provided by the owners was fantastic with maybe a slight review of the directions to the apt required. We had been to the area previous so new how to get on to a7 motorway so we were fine but you could miss the turn to motorway and end up in Tormelinios quite easily.

We contacted Sue on the way and she arrived at the apt very quickly and showed us around. I did follow up with sue with a question on WhatsApp afterwards and she responded so quickly which was fantastic.

The apartment itself was in fantastic condition, well maintained. As were the gardens and pool area, could not have been better maintained. We didn't use the facilities in the hotel next door but they are available....i would also advise to check out if you could use the pool area in hotel as it is nice having bar/restaurant right beside you for lunch during the day.

We hired a car for the 2 weeks which I would recommend....you can get taxis easily from outside the hotel but the car allows the freedom of popping up to the shop quickly as the area is steep. Supermarket at the roundabout at the top and towards Benalmadena pueblo is very good amd aldi only 2 minute drive further on.

Lots to do in the area...we visited Malaga on one of the days and was very easy to drive in to.

Overall we had a great 2 weeks. If your kids are happy in a pool swimming around for the day then it's great...and those days can be broken up by visiting attractions around such as the waterpark, cable car etc.

All in all we enjoyed our two weeks in a lively area with a lovely apartment. Thanks to Tanya for your contact before arriving and the info provided, and to Sue for meeting us and showing us around.

Home from Home

This property is perfect if you want to explore and are not the type of people that want everything in walking distance. If you also just want to stay put for the holiday you can laze by either of the pools and cook and eat your own food here, The grounds are beautiful, the apartment itself is very spacious and comfortable. The balcony is a great size and we did eat out at the lovely large table and sat chatting there until late. You get all the great noises and it sounds like you are in the jungle. It is very peaceful and even in the height of the season July and early August, there were not many people round the pool. It had had all the facilities you could want, the only down side was the kitchen is very narrow and the air con in the main bedroom was not sufficient and had to have a fan on as well. Apart from that it had everything we wanted. It is on a very steep hill and I would not want to attempt to walk to the beach or back. The beach near the apartment is not the nicest, and has only one place to eat. The supermarket nearby, which you need a car to get to is fantastic. There are also some places to eat here. It is up two very large steep hills. To get to windmill roundabout in Benalmadena and take advantage of the many restaurants, promenade and Marina will cost about 12 euros . We did this a number of times as we both liked to have a drink. The taxi back at midnight-ish was then 18 euros. It was 10 euros in a taxi to Mijas. Amazing place. My favourite restaurant here was the Aroma Café and secret Garden. Highy recommended for the atmosphere. If you are driving it takes about 8 minutes. To Benalmadena Pueblo the taxi was about 8 Euros and you have to eat at La Fuente. Three course fixed meal for 29 euros. The food here is amazing. If you like gin then head to the gin and wine bar afterwards. The beach we liked the most was La Cala de Mijas about 15 mins drive away and we went there a few times. We also drove and met friends in Marbella. It's a great apartment for easy driving access to a lot of other places. If you like to do this then I fully recommend it as the price is very competitive. There is a train station down the very steep hill. We didn't use it as we had the car. The secured underground parking was great as was the storage cupboard with lots of facilities. I would stay here again. My boys 9 and 13 loved it too. We had a fab holiday here.

Winter break

We found the owners of this apartment very responsive to all of our queries and the description of the apartment accurate. The apartment was clean and comfortable and well equipped for our month long visit. It is in parts showing signs of age and use. We were there when the weather was extremely cold and although the apartment is designed more for summer use we were able to keep warm by the heating systems available.The position of the apartment meant that we were only able to use the terrace for a short part of the morning because when the sun moved it was too cold to sit out.

The gardens and pool area are lovely and very well maintained.

The location of the apartment suited us well. The development is on a very steep hill and anyone with mobility difficulties would find it extremely difficult to go out for a walk. We had a car which enabled us to get around easily. For those without a car there is a little train which runs to the supermarket, train station,bus stops and the beach.It is brilliant and enables you to travel further afield.It runs every hour until 6-30 pm.and is free to residents of the reserva. Beware that if you miss the last train it is a very steep climb back to the apartment.

Overall it was good value for money.

Relaxing in tranquil setting...

Beautiful place ... We went end of Seotember ... So peaceful ... Immaculate gardens .. Lovely apartment .... Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday ... Can't wait to go back ... It is a little bit out of the way , but not expensive in taxi ... The Hilton next door was fab ...enjoyed a few lovely lunches .... And the infinity pool is just beautiful .... We had such a relaxing holiday .... Thank you so much

Stayed in the apartment in August 2016

Very spacious apartment. Two great sizes bedroom and smaller bedroom off the second bedroom which my 9 year old found perfectly adequate. The children loved the two pools which where always very clean. Excellent living area and outside balcony. We loved the little railway that took us either down to the beach or up to the shops.

A really peaceful location but near to plenty of attractions

The apartment was fantastic - very clean and spacious. Very well equipped. The pool area was peaceful and never busy - we went in the school holidays. Car is essential I would say. We had trips to Puerto banus, banalmadeba Marina and old town, both water parks and more. Best of both worlds - peaceful, relaxed environment but so much to do if you choose to. Supermarket is a very short drive. Hotel next door has a great gym and rooftop bar. All in all perfect. And sue who manages the apartment was amazing - delivered a cork screw (an essential) and was immediately on hand when I couldn't work the air con. Highly highly recommended for a relaxed and beautiful break!

For children we are very close to Tivoli world, the Aquapark in Mijas Costa and Torremelinos, Selwo Marina Park, Crocodile Park, Sea Life and Fuengirola Zoo.

Take a walk to see all the yachts in Benalmadena Marina, go fishing or dolphin watching, take a cable car ride up to the peak of the Carramolo mountain, see the stunning lakes at El Chorro or go for a long stroll along the beach. There is more than plenty to do with children too with two aqua parks within 15 minutes drive (we recommend the Torremlinos one which is larger and in our opinion, more fun than the Fuengirola equivalent), jet-skiing, pedalo boats, fun fairs etc., the list goes on and on, it's just... brilliant!


A few minutes by car to the beach and it's beautiful fish retaurants (Chiringuito's), there is also a free road train that runs down to the beach on the hour all day. The last train back up to the complex is at 6pm. The award winning marina at Benalmadena Puerto is just 15 minutes away. Here you can take out a boat trip day or evening and enjoy the buzzing bars and restaurants. There are lots of beautiful beaches along the coast, one of our favorites is La Cala de Mijas.


Just 15 minutes drive from Malaga Airport, it's a very easy drive and we will provide clear directions and a map. We thoroughly recommend car hire during your holiday to be able to visit the many attractions on the Costa Del Sol. If preferred, clients can be met at Malaga Airport for a small additional charge. Alternatively we can recommend a good car hire company. There is also the option to use the train, which runs from the airport to Carvajal Station which is just a few mins from the complex


Benalmadena Pueblo is a 5 minute drive, a typical Spanish white village- beautiful with excellent restaurants. Mijas is a 15 minute drive up the mountain-traditional Andalucian village well worth a visit. La Reserva Del Higueron is set in between Benalmadena Port and Fuengirola, either of which are only 15 minutes away, where there is much to do for all the family. Marbella and Puerto Banus with the famous billionaire’s yachts and high-class clubs and bars, is around 25-30 minutes away.

Further Details:

Close to the entrance of the development is a large supermarket, coffee shop, tapas bar, newsagents and a few restaurants including a truly great Indian run by an Anglo-Indian family, an Italian and an Iberian restaurant. The restaurants also offer takeaways.

There are plenty of shopping malls along the cost, the closest is the Miramar Centre which is just 10 minutes drive. We supply a portfolio in the apartment of various places of interest but this is constantly changing so we would encourage a Google search for your specific interests or drop us an email.
