Holiday Home in Kilmore, Co. Wexford, Ireland - 2 minutes from safe and quiet beach

Located 1/2 an hour from Wexford Town and Rosslare, and 10 min. from Kilmore Quay the house is located 5 min walk from a safe quiet beach with views of the Saltee Islands. A stove in the living room make it cosy even on rainy days. Facilities include a WiFi broadband internet connection, free to air satellite dish, CD and DVD player, and a gas fired barbecue. Pets are welcome and the rear south west facing garden is fenced to keep in small dogs and has a private deck to the side of the house. Included in the Summer letting price are: Linen and towels, refuse removal, all utilities (electricity and heating), and a starter pack for the stove.

About Knut Klimmek

Born in 1962, I moved to Wexford in 1973 which is where I consider to be home. We have 4 (nearly grown up) boys and have spent some great family holidays in Kilmore. I got into kite surfing in 2001 and the location on the south coast with prevailing south westerly winds makes it a great location for kiting.

Why Knut Klimmek chose Wexford Municipal District

We built the house in Kilmore approx 8 years ago. Having spent many years bringing our family to the beach by car, it was important to us when choosing the location that it was within walking distance of the sea. The south east corner has a reputation for getting the most sunshine in Ireland and we have found this is true. We have often left Kilmore in blazing sunshine to find that Wexford town, only 1/2 hour away, is covered in cloud. At the same time when the wind blows and it is raining, it can be very extreme because of the exposed nature of the site. The location is a little remote and off the beaten track, but that is also what we like about it.

Notes on accommodation: The house is central heated by an oil fired burner, and radiators are individually thermostatically controlled. Outside: Rear garden is 1/3 acre of grass and fenced to keep in small dogs (unless they dig). A large fenced in private deck with an outside tap is located to the southern side of the house. Ideal for for washing out and drying diving equipment. The driveway is tarmac with ample parking outside the house. To the side of the house there is potential parking for a trailer and rib on the grass during summer months. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, Large side by side fridge freezer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen and all utility charges are included in the rental price.

Amazing costal holiday home

We very much enjoyed our stay. In fact the house and it's setting far outweighed our expectations! Great location for exploring the southeast. The house had everything we needed and is beautifully decorated. Our dogs really enjoyed the very large back garden. We'll definitely be back! We would highly recommend it.

Amazing place with all you could ask for

Beautiful, modern house with absolutely everything you would ever need. Very complete and well-equipped kitchen. Amazing living room spanning two floors with huge windows overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

The best thing though is the location, in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. If you're looking to relax, I can't imagine a better place. I've stayed there for a month doing software development, and it probably was the most productive in my life :-)

Oh, and a minor problem with the heating has been solved by the owners (who are very easy going) in record time.

Highly recommend!

Fantastic house in amazing setting

Recently returned from a fantastic fortnight at Saltee Dogs. Weather may have been mixed but we had a great time, even watching the rain lashing against the windows and then dashing down the 100 m to the beach with the dog when the sun came out again! The views of the sea and over to the Saltee Islands are magical.

House is brilliantly equipped with every convenience you could need (even really speedy WiFi). And even if it's not really beachy weather, there are loads of places of interest in Wexford. Our sightseeing even took us to Waterford, up to Kilkenny and into Co Carlow.

Heartily recommend holidaying here.
