Our 2 bedroom lovely holiday apartment is situated above the Rockshop (our family run business) in the centre of Ambleside next to Stockgyhll Beck, the mountain stream which flows through the village. The shops, restaurants, cinema and pubs are just a stone's throw away. Furnished to a very high standard, the apartment sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms, a double and a twin. Guests have the use of a washing machine and tumble dryer located in the shop. There is a parking space for guests just below the flat. Outside there is a barbeque area and seating for 4 people.

A hidden gem

The most loveliest apartment I have ever stayed in. A lovely welcome gift was left for us. We can not wait to stay again. From the moment I walked in I didn't want to leave. The lounge is so lovely with the windows open listening g to the water, perfect whilst having a cup of tea in the morning and a glass of wine at night. I would recommend lots of the pubs, cafes as all has great service, food and drinks. Thank you Joanne for a perfect break away from it all.

Clean, modern, spacious and in great location.

the morning after our first night in the apartment we decided we simply couldnt fault it. It has everything you need for a more than comfortable stay. Bright and spacious, clean and modern, comfy beds, good shower and bath, also dont be put off by the fact that it is above a shop. First of all, you have your own parking space and entrance, the apartment has been soundproofed well so you wont hear a thing from downstairs, and with the clever positioning of the windows and outside seating area in the apartment, it feels completely private. Location is superb too for central ambleside, everything is within a short walk's reach.

Wonderful

What an amazingly wonderful flat. I can honestly say that this was one of the most peaceful, relaxing breaks that I've had in many years.

Superb facilities, extremely helpful welcome set amongst the backdrop of such a wonderful location.

We'll be back... subject to availability of course.

I can honestly say that I'd swap this flat for my own home anytime.

Superb

My husband and I stayed in this fabulous apartment for 3 nights in September. On arrival we were greeted by Elizabeth from the Rock Shop who was very helpful and friendly and showed us around the apartment. The apartment is beautifully decorated, extremely clean and comfortable and incredibly well equipped. A welcome pack of biscuits, wine and milk was much appreciated. This was our first visit but definitely won't be our last, we absolutely loved it. Thank you so much. Davina and Phil

Another fantastic week spent in this fantastic flat with my husband and son. The welcome pack on arrival was much appreciated. Flat was spotless with a few new bits and pieces this year. Centrally located in the centre of Ambleside and parking space just outside. Sits within easy walking distance of many good places to eat such as the salutation hotel, unicorn inn and Dodds restaurant. Look forward to returning to the flat at some time in the future. Great Flat

By far the best self catering flat we have stayed in, everything was perfect, so good to have a lovely place to sit and relax in after a day out. The weather was mixed but able to sit on the balcony enjoying the sounds of the beck while reading.Will be telling our friends about this lovely flat we stayed in, in Ambleside.Everyone was so friendly from Joanne,when we made the booking to the staff in the shop.

The full payment for your holiday is required no later than 4 weeks before the start of your holiday. We ask for a deposit of £100 to be paid at the time of booking your holiday. The amount will be reimbursed to you within one month after your stay. We appreciate that genuine breakages do occur and equipment wears out, please report any breakages to us so we can ensure that they are mended or replaced in time for the next guests.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are Fridays and Mondays. We let the flat for half weeks - Monday to Friday, Friday to Monday, or full weeks - Monday to Monday, Friday to Friday.

Notes on prices:
Prices are based on 4 people staying for a week. Discounts are available for 2 people sharing a room, please enquire. Please contact Joanne for a price for half a week (Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday) as any price quoted on here may be inaccurate.

  • Notes on accommodation: As the flat is accessed by a staircase to the first floor and has a 1st floor balcony we do not recommend the flat to families with children under the age of 5. We do not accept pets. Outside: Pleasant outdoor area, leading through from living area onto 1st floor balcony. Small outdoor patio on ground level suitable for barbecues on sunnier days. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included. The property is cleaned after every changeover. The flat is managed by our Rockshop staff, who are on hand should you require any help during your stay.
