Apartment in Old Village, Vilamoura, Algarve, Portugal - Large Private Roof Terrace

The Old Village is about 25-30 mins by car or taxi from Faro Airport. The complex is completely pedestrianised and family friendly and now has Wi-Fi throughout. The gardens are manicured and the fragrances from the plants at night heighten the experience. 24 hour on-site security adds to that feeling of well being. Our apartment is located only a minute or two's walk from any of the bars, restaurants and pools. Access to the apartment is by external stairs to the first floor. Inside is a lounge/diner, open aspect to the kitchen, and a toilet. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower toilet and sink. Upstairs again is a large private roof terrace. Vilamoura has several first class golf courses.The beaches in Vilamoura are sandy clean and picturesque. At the marina 5 mins by car, there are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. Water sports and boat trips can be booked from here. Neighbouring Quarteira has a weekly market, (bartering is essential). Further down by the beach a daily fish market can be found.

Fantastic Apt. Fantastic Owner!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in Nick's apartment last October. It was our first time booking an Old Village apartment direct from the owner; we stayed there on three previous occasions and booked each one from online comparison sites.

I strongly recommend booking direct from an owner. First of all, you get to see pictures of the apartment in which you will be staying. Secondly, because you are communicating directly with the owner, you will get specific information about the apartment, not the atypical appropriation you get from a travel agent. Dealing with Nick was fantastic. The whole process was seamless, to the stage where I had the keys to Nick's apartment in-hand before we caught our flight from Ireland!

The apartment is beautiful. It is well apportioned, comfortable and spacious, and has a beautiful roof terrace. It is very modern throughout and has all the mod cons you need to be self sufficient.

The salient question that arises with any holiday experience is whether you would stay in the same place again. I can say without hesitation that we will definitely stay in Nick's apartment again. If you are looking at this apartment, then stop looking and book it!

Lovely apartment in wonderful location!

This was our fourth time in Vilamoura, yet our first to stay in the Old Village itself. The apartment was lovely, clean and comfortable, and we absolutely loved the invigorating shower!

Any communication with Nick was swift and he was so kind to let us stay a few hours longer due to our flight time being later on in the day which made the final day so much more pleasant! We were also sent information beforehand regarding location and directions from the airport, and a very useful file at the apartment on arrival.

The Old village is one of my favourite destinations; it's idyllic & peaceful, well kept gardens with a good choice of bars & restaurants, and all within walking distance to the marina and the beaches.

I would definitely stay here again in this apartment, a good time was had by all!

Lovely clean apartment in an excellent location

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment in the old village lovely clean and homely was great to have a roof terrace too. The complex it was in was very pretty with local supermarket and 3 pools and a mix of restaurants everything you needed at your doorstep, the booking process with the owner was excellent and the communication very informative and helpful. I would highly recommend and would definitely book again.

Fantastic duplex apartment

We have stayed at this excellent well kept apartment several times. The facilities are excellent . The owner kept us well informed on every visit .The weather was fantastic . The only criticism is we had too come back home to rainy weather. I would not hesitate to highly to recommend this well kept up duplex apartment

wonderful apartment

We had a fantastic week at this lovely apartment. Everything you need is there for you and it feels like a home from home. The terrace upstairs is beautiful, especially at sunrise and sunset, it doesn't get much better. The owner made it a completely hassle free holiday from start to finish with excellent communication and information. We will certainly return to this great property.

I would also like to mention the brilliant hairdryer that is available. An important aspect to any ladies holiday!!

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Faro at 20 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Vilamoura and Falesia at 1 Kilometres


Both Vilamoura and Falesia beach are sandy, clean and well kept. There are cafes and restaurants on both beaches. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the beaches. 5 minutes by car. Away from Vilamoura along the coast there are a number of smaller secluded beaches and coves. About 15 mins walk from the lively marina.


Faro Airport 25-30 minutes by car or taxi.


Quarteira 10 mins by car or 15 mins along the beach from Vilamoura. Loule 15-20 mins by car. Very Portuguese town with market. Almancil 15 mins by car, has a go-karting track. Albufeira 25 mins by car - large lively resort. Algarve and Faro shopping centres 20 mins by car. Zoo marine 30 mins by car, a little longer by coach. Local water park (Summer season) 10 mins by car.
