About Michael and Debbie Thomas

We purchased the Anchorage in June 2009 and had great fun renovating the property into a beautiful holiday home. The Anchorage is a hidden treasure, a hop skip and a jump to the beach and with unrivalled sea views. A peaceful spot, yet only 5 miles from the hustle and bustle of Great Yarmouth.

Four generations of our family have been visiting this idyllic spot over the last 60 years. We have three young children and to see them play out the front, above the sand dunes, with the waves in the background reminds us of our wonderful childhood holidays in Scratby, which we looked forward to all year.

There is something really special about this place. We always feel relaxed here especially after a stressful time at work! The family dog loves to run on the unrestricted beach too!

We have been holidaying in this area for years and years. We always said to ourselves if this property came up for sale we would have to buy it. Our dream is now our reality!

We are very proud of the renovation and plan to retire here in years to come. In the meantime, we are keen to share our lovely home with you.

We just love the fact that we can choose to either get away from it all by turining off the phones and the computers or stay in touch via w-fi link in our home!

4 adults 1 small child and 2 dogs had the perfect holiday in this lovely house. Safe enclosed garden very clean well equipped house perfect location wonderful sea view. Enjoyed walking along the sandy beach to Hemsby where there are shops cafes takeaways and amusements. Short drive to Great Yarmouth & Norfolf Boards every where very dog friendly. The property is so nice I really didn't want to leave.

We had such a great Holiday experience here.

The house and location couldn't have been better. A lovely sea view.

The Beach was excellent and so close.

There was plenty of space for our party of 8 and the downstairs bedroom was ideal for my elderly parents.

The house was so well equipped, everything we needed and more, even a good selection of games.

The garden was enclosed and ideal, off road parking for our 2 cars and knowing our dog was safely enclosed was great.

I couldn't recommend this more, I would certainly like to return here one day.

Fantastic week spent at the anchorage with my daughter's, partners and grandchildren. House very clean, well equipped, plenty of space for everyone to have their own space. Location is stunning, sea views gorgeous. Will be rebooking next year if available. No negatives

Great beach location

Exceptionally clean and well presented. Kitchen was especially well appointed. Lots of space, would be great for a larger group. Safe, enclosed garden was super for our two dogs and the sandy beach is on your doorstep.

Very quiet and peaceful. If you're looking for a relaxing break this is the place for you, but expect to jump in the car to see the sights.

Still enjoying the bliss

We are coming to the end of our most relaxing week. The view of the beautiful sandy beach is perfect and the house is extremely comfortable, with everything needed for the ideal family holiday. A very quiet location but in easy reach of plenty to do, shops and pubs/restaurants. Our party ranges from age eleven to eighty one and some have even been in the sea.
