Why Dogay chose Kyrenia Region
The property was not bought but designed and built to my specifications by builder friends of mine resident in Cyprus as a family home to return to one day. I have added various touches to differentiate it from other properties such as a curved glass sided staircase, french doors on opposite sides of the lounge for mountain breezes in the morning and sea breezes in the evening. The villa is fully detached for privacy and in subsequent years I have added various improvements the overflow swimming pool, and in January 2010 a covered poolside BBQ area with power and water. The villa is nestled between the back drop of the mountains to the rear and the sea view to the front.

The large pool is professionally managed by a specialist company with two visits a week in the summer. Normal daily checks are carried out by one regular English speaking maintenance man, this can be altered for guests comfort and is also available via phone for other instances on demand. Off street parking at front of villa for two cars.

huge villa, massive pool, couldnt of had a better welcome, very relaxing great people. second time back to lapta and this was proberly the best villa we have had, will stay again
Great family holiday
Many thanks for letting us hire your villa, we had an excellent time recharging our batteries and never left the pool. Lovely quiet area there is a football park down the way but couldn't hear it, the villa had everything we needed down to pegs on the washing line and dvds and iPod docking station for the kids would def use again :) Excellent value for money.
we have stayed at this villa several times, as we are waiting for our own villa to be built.
we feel its value for money, not far from a supermarket and not too far from kyrenia.
we have busy lives and this villa recharges our batteries.

Activity and Interests
There are many sandy beaches along the coast of Northern Cyprus with the nearest only a 5 min drive away. The beautiful waters of the Mediterranean are perfect for swimming, water sports and diving. The turtle conservation project can be visited during the summer months. Speedboat trips and water skiing are less than 10 mins drive.
There are frequent flights from many UK airports to both Ercan and Larnaca. Transfer from Ercan is approx 45 mins and from Larnaca 1 hour 30 minutes (border controls permitting). Private pick up and drop off can be arranged as well as a taxi service from the airports.
Lapta is a 20 mins drive from Kyrenia and less than an hour from Lefkosa (Nicosia). The beautiful village of Bellapais with its Abbey and stunning views of Kyrenia is a 30 min drive as is the mountain castle (ruin) of St Hilarion.
Local shops provide all day to day requirements and well stocked supermarkets (with most UK brands) can be found on the main road to Kyrenia. Local restaurants serve local and European dishes and even fish and chips! French, Italian, Indian and Chinese cuisine are all available. Bars with satellite TV showing Sky Sports are within a short drive and Casinos can be found locally and in Kyrenia. Although Banks are located in Kyrenia ATM's are available in the village of Kargoglanoglu. Menus are always in English and many restaurants will accept Sterling. English is widely spoken, you drive on the left and all you electrical appliances can be plugged into the standard three pin UK sockets.

Please contact owner for availability. A non-returnable 20% deposit is payable upon booking with the full balance 5 weeks prior to arrival. In addition there is a £100 refundable bond per booking against breakages or damages. This is returned to you a few days after your holiday rental ends subject to no damages and breakages etc. Payment by personal cheque or bank transfer only.
Please contact for full changeover day details. Generally change over / check out will be by 1200 if being re-let same day and occupancy will be from 1500.There is provision for secure baggage storage for all guests on change over days at nil cost.
