Guestbook comments from the owner

Last minute booking in this lovely cottage. many thaks to peter and Janet for making us feel more than welcome. After a long journey it was great to see the bits and bobs put in the fridge to great us.

The kids had plenty to do with all the games at hand, both for inside and out.

Pete and Janet are really nice down to earth people who were very helpful and friendly. We'll definately return at some point and will recommend it to family and friends.

The countryside is stunning, better than the U.K. The best beach we visited was in Berck about 40 minutes drive. Rando-Rail is interesting, ask Pete !

Thanks a million Pete and Janet for the late booking. You saved the day for us. Hope to see you again.

Lovely little place for a weekend of R & R

  • 4 of 5

We've just come back from a three night stay in Field View, the Gite was perfect for chilling out. The place is pretty much in middle of nowhere but fairly easy to find using Sat Nav. You can get fresh bread, crossiants etc about 5 mins drive away

There are a couple of things that are important to us when it come to accomdation, it needs to be clean, warm, have a good shower and decent beds, this ticked all the boxes. We also loved the wood burner which kept the Gite extra warm and cozy. Very functional kitchen and having two toilets was useful. Although we didnt go away to watch TV, having the Freeview box and being abke ti watch BBC etc in the evening was a great little bonus.

We didnt do much but visited Arras which was about an hour away, and had a great lunch at Le Cap Horn.

Thank you Peter and Janet for a great stay.

Owner's Response: It was nice to have the Hoopers stay and have the facilities appreciated. The wood burner is always great to have going and brings a cheer to the gite. November can be a dull month but there is always plenty to see and do. I hope we see the Hoopers again.

Fantastic gites, wonderful location, lovely hosts.

  • 5 of 5

This was our third visit to these gites, our last two visits were in 2008 and 2009. We brought my parents this time and we have all had the most amazing, relaxing holiday. The gites are very well equipped and are very comfortable. The location is perfect, so peaceful and yet there are so many places to see. Pete and Janet are both very friendly, nothing is too much trouble and they are very welcoming - offering us all a drink as soon as we arrived. We really appreciated the milk, wine, butter etc that was thoughtfully provided in the gite on arrival.

All in all, a fantastic holiday - made even better by superb weather. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Very clean and tidy gite.Very good location.

  • 5 of 5

A very nice holiday gite with enough space, for the family. A warm welcome from the owners and a lovely touch with a bottle of wine and soft drink for us on our arrival.

The weather was a little colder than expected so having a wood burner made the evenings that more 'cosy'.

The gite was very easy to find and ideally located to access the beaches or countryside.

Wonderful holiday home

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great stay in this holiday property Janet and Pete are really lovely people and go out of their way to make sure, you have a good holiday. They are always on hand if you need any advice or directions etc. The cottage was beautifully clean and as we arrived late there was bread butter milk tea bags eggs and a bottle of wine that was really pleasing as we hadn't eaten. The cottage had everything you could possibly need for a holiday in the heart of the French countryside is it a quiet rural location that is situated next to a river up a lane so you hear a lot of bird song and no traffic noise !! We were here for five nights and wish we had stayed longer . But we will definetly return as we now know what to expect next time and that is good quality accommodation
