Holiday Home in Fiesta Key, Kissimmee, Florida, USA - Exclusive, Tranquil Gated Community

'The Hunnypot' at Fiesta Key overlooks a conservation pond. The peaceful setting allows you to unwind away from the hustle and bustle of the parks yet be in close proximity to Disney World, Seaworld and Universal Studios, not to mention the many other pass times such as the nearby golf courses, water parks and other sporting opportunities. At the home you can relax in front of one of the many TVs, read on the balcony overlooking the pond or sunbathe on a sun lounger in the secluded sun room at the back of the home.

The living accommodation includes an open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge. On the ground floor there is also a Master bedroom with a Queen sized bed and ensuite with twin vanity units, shower and separate toilet.

Upstairs there are three further bedrooms and a full bathroom with a shower over the bath. There is another Master bedroom with a Queen sized bed, ensuite shower room, walk in closet and a balcony that overlooks the pond to the rear of the home. The other two bedrooms face the front of the house; one contains another Queen sized bed and the other twin beds.

About Teresa Goodman

I am a Primary Teacher living in England. My husband and I bought the property partly as an investment and partly to give us an excuse to continue returning to Florida! We have children (now grown up) who enjoy Disney and the Sunshine state. Now with grandchildren just starting to arrive, there are even more reasons to visit the parks! We enjoy the fun that can be had in Florida but also like some time to relax. The "Hunnypot" has everything you need for that "home from home" feeling, with plenty of room to relax after a busy or even "not-so-busy" day.

Why Teresa Goodman chose Kissimmee

Fiesta Key is a gated community. It is also very pretty; all the houses are different shades of pastel colours and have varied fronts. It is a small community with only two roads, one of which is circular. It is very quiet. Our home backs onto water that is home to ducks and other water birds. There is a jogging path that goes around it. Our back exit and sun lounge overlook the water. The swimming pool is close by. The pool is very large, adjoins a clubhouse (with internet access) and gym, and is invariably empty or with very few people! There is also a tennis court. A children's playground is tucked away in a corner of the resort. Fiesta Key is only 10 minutes from Disney and all the amenities of Kissimmee and Orlando.

What makes this house unique

At our home I suppose one of the biggest benefits that sets it apart from others, is its tranquility and prettiness.

We also have a hot tub in the sun lounge at the back that is particularly wonderful late at night on a hot day, when the stars are out and the moon is shining - good to listen to the water bubbling and watch the changing colours in the water from the lights in the tub.

Free Internet access is available in both the home and in the clubhouse (just take your laptop, tablet or mobile phone).

Everything you need to make you feel at home is provided.

3 bathrooms and a cloakroom saves any waiting around and the shower cubicles are very spacious.

The home is kept immaculate by our management company and if any problem should occur they are on hand.

Notes on accommodation: The property has four large double bedrooms. Air-conditioning can be set to own preference. Suitable for all ages. All local telephone calls free. Wireless internet access available free in the home. Cable tv with on demand feature and some sports channels including UK premiership soccer matches. Free use of clubhouse, pool, sun loungers, gym and tennis courts. A selection of DVDs, books and games can be found in the home. Large lounge area and games room in the clubhouse. Outside: The home is situated in a beautiful setting where all the gardens are well kept. The conservation pond is home to ducks and other wild life and is a lovely backdrop to the home. The swimming pool is in close vicinity. Here you can find sun loungers, tables, and chairs on the pool terraces. Invariably the pool can often be entirely to yourself! If you are feeling particularly energetic you might want to make use of the tennis court or exercise in the gym. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linen supplied. The property will be cleaned before arrival and will be cleaned on departure. Equipment is provided for any cleaning needed. Further maid service can be arranged at an additional cost. Other: Sun lounge with hot tub, table, chairs and 2 sun loungers.

Arriving to the property I was very impressed with overall look of community.

This was definitely a fantastic stay! Information given was clear and precise. I had no issues entering property. The home was perfect for our needs, PLENTY of space. Home was clean, I had no issues with kitchen. Other reviewers had to be very picky to complain. I had no complaints at all, my stay exceeded my expectations!!! Definitely 2 thumbs up!

Very Spacious house

Quiet gated community. Spacious house with hot tub in a screened in porch. close to the community pool. Close to restaurants, shopping, and attractions . Would definitely stay again .

Amazing Stay

The house was located in a great gated community. The hot tub was amazing as well. It was very spacious and very well kept. The amenities included was also a plus. I would definitely recommend this home for your family vacation needs.

You get what you pay for

It's good that I waited a couple weeks to write this review because my family and I were quite upset at the overall experience. However after taking some time I decided the fairest review was to say you get what you pay for. This property was one of the least expensive options and that is what we were looking for. You cannot expect a Mercedes and pay a Kia price. Since we live in Florida (about an hour and a half away from Orlando) we have rented many, many properties over the years in Orlando and have stayed at some truly nice properties; all of them nicer than this one, but also all were closer to the parks and more expensive. So again, we got what we paid for. We were in town for a volleyball tournament and we did not anticipate being at the property much, so we did not want to pay for luxuries and ambience, we just wanted a clean place with four walls to sleep. In general, this property met our objectives. To be satisfied, or at least not to be dissatisfied, future renters need to have the same goals going into this property. The "need to knows" are as follows: (1) overall the place is clean, but as in other reviews, the ant problem in the kitchen is still very present. Do not leave ANY food out or dirty dishes on counter or the sink. This is due to inadequate pest control services. I live in Florida too and do not have this problem; actual preventative pest control services ARE possible. If you would like me to recommend a company, I'm happy to do so. (2) whether new or not, the fact is the mattresses in every room are way below average and some sleep will be sacrificed. It's like sleeping on a pile of shredded cardboard boxes. (3) same comment for the pillow as the mattresses. Bring your own pillows if you can. Very thin, poorly made and uncomfortable (4) the televisions are extremely old and not flat screens. (5) it's in the rental agreement, but know going in that you can only park 2 cars in the driveway and you will be towed if you park on the street. Since the property has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 8, it is more than a remote possibility that more than 2 parking spaces will be needed. I also want to state that the owner was very responsive to our concerns during our stay.

Owner's Response: It is disappointing to hear when someone has not enjoyed their stay. 90% of our guests are very happy with their accomodation; we have guests staying for weeks/months at a time and returning guests. The beds are fairly new and we and others have found them very comfortable. The description given here does not in any way represent the quality and feel of the mattresses.There are a variety of different pillows to suit different tastes but we take on board the comments and will check these out out and replace as needed. Guests have stayed since and not encountered the ant problem. Pest control is carried out quarterly and any issues are addressed immediately. We are checking with our Management company to see what further can be done. It is difficult when the problem is no longer apparent. There are TVs in every room along with separate cable boxes in each room. There are flat screen TVs in the lounge and one of the master bedrooms. We are about to change the second master bedroom to a flat screen. Until now we have never had reason to believe the others needed changing as they provide good pictures and are only secondary to the main tv. Fiesta Key is a gated community that has regulations to make the community a pleasant, safe place to stay. Parking is not allowed on the roadways overnight. Parking for two cars on the driveway is stated clearly in the rental agreement that has to be read and agreed before making any reservation. It should also be noted that parking for another car can usually be arranged for outside the clubhouse, given reasonable notice to arrange.

Owner's Response: We are pleased you found this a good place to stay. We have only recently been told one of the beds needed replacing and this has been done. We are sorry we were not aware before your stay. The beds in the twin room were changed earlier this year and the other two bedrooms had beds and mattresses replaced last year. We thank you for pointing out this problem as we want guests to have a comfortable stay.

Coast/Beach:

The coast and beaches are just an hours drive away to the East and West. Access is quick via the Interstate. The Sunshine State of Florida abounds in beautiful beaches in either direction.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Orlando International airport which is approximately a 30 minute drive away. Sanford airport is approximately 45 minutes drive. Car hire is recommended to enjoy the many attractions in the area. Cars can be pre ordered and collected and dropped off at the airport.

Distances:

5 minutes to the nearest supermarket. 5 minutes to the 192 where there is an abundance of restaurants to suit all tastes. 7 miles to Disney World. 9 miles to Sea World. 30 minutes drive to Universal Studios. 6 miles from I4 giving easy access to all of central Florida.

Further Details:

There are numerous Shopping Malls and Factory outlets nearby with big brand names and where bargains can be found. Restaurants, banks, souvenir shops, service stations are a short distance and easily accessible. Look out for the booklets with offers and maps, that can be found in shopping malls and outside large restaurants.
