Apartment in Mijas Golf, Costa del Sol, Spain - Popular Apartment With Guests Returning Often

Our apartment is on a new, private complex with three swimming pools, beautifully landscaped gardens and amazing views. It is situated in Mijas Golf which boasts two very popular 18 hole golf courses, Los Lagos and Los Olivos. Beautifully furnished, our air-conditioned apartment is a home from home with marble floors throughout. It sleeps 4/6 and consists of an open plan lounge with dining area, fully fitted kitchen, two bedrooms, en-suite bathroom, shower room, utility room and furnished terrace with panoramic views across the Mijas hills. Just 10 minutes drive to Mijas and Fuengirola beaches and 25 minutes to Marbella, the apartment has secure parking and is only a few minutes walk from the golf course, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. For your entertainment, we have a flat screen satellite TV, DVD player, docking station and a selection of books and DVDs. The perfect place to enjoy your well-earned break in the heart of the Costa del Sol in Andalucia.

Beautiful Apartment and Location

We just love this place as we've stayed here twice before and very much looking to third visit next month. The apartment is immaculate with great views over the pool area and the mountains, it's very tranquil and peaceful but just a short walk away from local bars and restaurants which is great for 'happy hour'

The complex is very secure with parking and the gardens are beautifully maintained, there are 2 large swimming pools and a child's pool and plenty of sun beds.

I would recommend a car, with Benelmedena, Puerto Banus and their stunning beaches around 20 minutes away, further afield is Gibraltar an hour away and the breathtaking Rhonda, nearer to the apartment is Mijas Pueblo 'Old Mijas' with loads of shops and restaurants a beautiful traditional Spanish village with its original bull ring.

Regarding the apartment it also has a very private balcony with a great barbecue an excellent place to enjoy your evening with a glass or two! One last bonus is if you're a golfer like me there are 2 courses within 5 minutes of the apartment and great courses too..

Mijas golf appartment

I rented this apartment through a friend and was a little apprehensive as what to expect. After arriving we were pleasantly surprised, the pictures on owners direct does not do the apartment justice. The location for us was just about perfect ,Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle but not too far.

I would recommend hiring a car from the airport but this is not necessary as you can catch a train from just outside airport then taxi (which is approx. 10 euros)There are bars and restaurants well within walking distance for an evening and taxis are readily available and reasonable too. The apartment is immaculate and everything is there what you need.

We totally enjoyed this holiday and are looking to book again for this year !

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

As well as being a very popular destination for golfing, the area is also very popular for walking and horse riding. There are also plenty of places on the Costa del Sol to go motorcross riding.


The nearest beaches are La Cala and Fuengirola which are a 10 minute drive away. Both are beautiful sandy beaches. Other beaches in the area include Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Marbella, Carahuela and Puerto Banus where you can find shops, bars, restaurants and watersports. Our personal favourite is Cabopino which is a 15 minute drive.


Car hire is recommended if you wish to explore the area however, taxis are available from outside the Hotel Byblos which is a 10 minute walk away from the apartment. Malaga airport is a 25 minute drive away and most low-cost airlines fly to this destination. It is also possible to get the train from Malaga airport to Fuengirola then a taxi from there which is cheaper than a taxi from the airport.


Mijas white village 15 minute drive. Torremolinos 20 minute drive. Benalmadena 25 minute drive. Malaga 25 minute drive. Marbella 25 minute drive. Puerto Banus 40 minute drive. Gibraltar approx 90 minute drive using toll road.

Further Details:

There are several lovely bars and restaurants within walking distance of the apartment however, if you would like to sample a wider variety and some lively nightlife, bustling Fuengirola and Benalmadena are a good choice.

There is an aqua park at La Cala de Mijas Costa and at Torremolinos, a Sea Life Centre at Benalmadena marina, and a very popular zoo at Fuengirola. The Miramar complex is a 5 minute drive away which has a wealth of shops and restaurants as well as a multi-cinema. The traditional and very beautiful Mijas white village is a 15 minute drive away and well worth a visit for a real taste of Spain. The views are amazing and there are plenty of restaurants.

Gibraltar, Ronda and Granada are within easy reach for day trips. There is an Aldi and Iceland nearby if you wish to stock up for your stay. There is a pretty riverside park approx 10 minutes walk away which also has an outdoor bar.

    A deposit of £100 is required at time of booking with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to your stay. A security deposit of £100 is also required which is refunded once the keys are returned and the apartment is checked.
