Apartment in Cala D'Or, Mallorca, Balearic Islands - Situated Between Cala Ferrera And Cala Esmeralda

Part of a small complex of seven apartments on the first floor. Placed in the main street, opposite the bus stop, taxi and mini train - situated in between Cala Ferrera and Cala Esmeralda. 10 mins to Cala D'Or Centre. Only a three minute walk to the beach. Mallorca has some spectacular caves to visit.

Andy was very welcoming and helpful. Please eat in his restaurant - honestly the best one we found. The apartment/flat is above a pizzeria, which initially put me off, but once you are in, there is absolutely no noise. 5 of us stayed here and found it clean, well equipped and very central. Beaches are amazing and so close.

Spacious two bed apartment in Cala d'Or

The apartment is situated on the first floor above a gift shop on one of the main streets in Cala d'Or. We collected the keys from Andreu, the owner from his bar. ( I had already emailed Andreu about this and he was very prompt in replying). We arrived by transfer from the airport late at night and we had a great pizza from his bar. He was very welcoming and friendly. We were shown around the apartment. It was very clean and tidy, if a bit dated. However, everything worked, the bedding was clean, towels provided and a couple of tea towels in the kitchen area. The balcony overlooks the main shopping street and it was great for people watching! It was a bit noisy at night in the front bedroom but nothing after about mid night. We did some of our own cooking and ate out at other times. Prices were very reasonable we felt. A nice touch would have been to have had a container of drinking water in the fridge for arriving guests, for that much needed cuppa!

The local beaches are small and did get very crowded.

We wanted to see more of the island so hired a car - booked in advance. Unfortunately had a small accident, knocking off the passenger wing mirror (trying to avoid an extremely fast local driver coming towards us on a narrow street, and avoiding a head on crash). When I reported to local car hire company they processed my deposit and got the repair sorted. I was not happy with this, as the exclusions in the insurance include the mirrors in with "windows and tyres". In my book, a mirror is not a window. I now have to somehow sort out reclaiming £350 as the hire company blame the agent for not informing us properly about the various insurance covers. Be aware of this loophole!

All in all, we had a great time and would definitely recommend Andreu and his property.

close to shops, pubs and transport links

Brought my father out on Holiday, the apartment has stairs, however my father had no issues. Plenty of places to eat, even though this apartment has everything that you need. In addition to that. Andreu the owner and his wife from the time we collected our keys were very good. Thank you. I would go back to this next year.

Supernetter Host, alles sauber, Wohnung schön mit tollem Balkon, top Lage

Alles super geklappt, Andreu hat alles dafür getan, dass wir uns Wohlfühlen, die Wohnung ist perfekt für 4 Personen, alles vorhanden, schöner Balkon, strandnah und super um von dort aus die Gegend mit dem Auto zu erkunden. Jederzeit wieder !!! :)

2 beautiful sandy beaches both of which are less than a 3 minute walk. The beaches are sandy and very sheltered bays fringed with pine trees and craggy rocks. The warm waters are still, calm and crystal clear and perfect for swimming, snorkeling or diving. Sun beds are available for hire and all beaches have excellent amenities


The apartment is placed in the main street. Opposite the bus stop, taxi and mini train as it is situated in between Cala Ferrera and Cala Esmeralda.

Here you will find many fantastic restaurants and bars catering for every taste. There is a boat tour which leaves nearby which takes you along the coast visiting Cala Figuera, the National Park beach of Cala Mondrago and other beautiful places. A local bus can take you into Palma for the day and local car hire/money exchange places can organise trips to many of Mallorca's attractions. A day out to Aqualand, one of the islands water parks, is a great day for the children and adults alike. Mallorca has some spectacular caves at various locations around the island. Probably the most spectacular are the Caves of Drach (Coves del Drach) at Portocristo. The Sunday morning market in Felanitx is recognised as being one of the best in Majorca. Also the fruit and produce markets at nearby Santanyi is every Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
