Casa Bella Vista, Pereta, Maremma Coast, Tuscany - Very Close To Restaurants And Pizzeria, 20 Mins Drive To Sandy Beaches, 30 mins To Hot Springs
As soon as you enter this ‘fairytale’ village perched on the hillside, you feel like you have gone back in time. The unique arched entrance, cobbled streets, ancient churches, tall watch tower, exquisite restaurants and friendly locals all make this place… a little piece of paradise. Casa Bella Vista is a beautiful, very characteristic house in the heart of the village. Stunningly renovated with wooden beams, exposed stone walls and tile floors maintaining that Tuscan charm. It is beautifully furnished and is spacious and bright with high ceilings. The large living area has a an L-shaped sofa, wood burning fire, fitted kitchen and French doors leading onto a peaceful balcony with a gorgeous view of the Tuscan hills. It has two spacious bedrooms and a bathroom. There is no wifi in the house yet but free wifi is available in the local bar and restaurant as well as other places in the area. There is no parking at the house due to the narrow cobbled streets but free parking is available just 1 minute walk from the house in the car park or on the road approaching the village. There are many places to visit close by and lovely beaches just 20 minutes drive away. Casa Bella Vista would suit a couple, a group of friends or a family with children seeking a true Tuscan holiday experience to remember. Many people return year after year as they fall in love with this unspoilt Tuscan village...
a real hidden gem.

Real life in a hilltop village
About the Owner
My name is Jo-Anne and my husband is Simon. We both work and live in South Yorkshire and have two boys aged 8 and 11 who both love football and our dog called Lucia.
My first trip to see my friend Deborah in Italy was approximately 20 years ago and I loved Italy then... but fell in love with Pereta, the Hillside Village, after visiting my friend and her family on holiday.
Now we spend our holiday enjoying the Tuscan sun, the fantastic food and drink.

Real life in a hilltop village
We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this picturesque village. The property is spacious and well equipped with fabulous views all around. The village has 3 terrific restaurants and is well located for day trips around Southern Tuscany. We loved listening to the quiet sounds of life in the village. The information in the property is very good for you to plan your visits. We would thoroughly recommend staying here.
Real Tuscan Delight
Myself and my husband were looking for a relaxing week away and have always dreamed of travelling around Tuscany. This holiday did not disappoint !!! Pereta is a wonderful village untouched by the big commercial holiday companies and is a jewel in the crown and perfect location for investigating the surrounding areas. Only a short journey to some of the most wonderful beaches we have ever visited. The locals were very friendly and the restaurant Maria"s a couple of doors down served amazing food !! A real dining experience ...
Thee was a welcome basket on arrival which was great and 2 min walk gets you to the very authentic little Italian grocery shop which only small but stocks most things you could ever need. The olives were delicious.
There is also a pizzeria in the village with a very humorous owner !! Our pizza's came with faces and he does like to throw in a few practical jokes which made for a perfect evenings entertainment.
We came back to the UK feeling very relaxed and thoroughly recharged .. A perfect get away !! Highly recommend !!!
We had a lovely week in Pereta
We had a lovely week in Pereta. The house was very clean and well equipped. The beaches nearby were wild and wonderful, the hot springs were fantastic and trips to Siena and Florence were brilliant. We loved the corner shop which is very well stocked. The views from the house are gorgeous and the balcony is great for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.
Casa Bella Vista
Just returned from a great stay in this beautiful house, The Village of Pereta and Casa Bella Vista were every bit as good as the description and more! We found the house spotlessly clean, comfortable and really well equipped, more spacious than the pictures show. Plenty of spare blankets and towels available if we'd have needed them, and a lovely basket of goodies to welcome us.
Great customer service, with loads of useful info on the area which we made good use of - exploring this beautiful part of Tuscany, and we visited MARIA's restaurant a few doors away and had an unforgettable evening! Would highly recommend to family and friends and would definitely book again if ever we return to this area.
From the Owner
“We were lucky enough to purchased ‘Casa Bella Vista’ which dates back to approximately 1200ad after visiting my friend Deborah on holiday. We instantly loved the village and liked the house as soon as we walked into it, even though much work needed to be done, it felt welcoming and homely. This characteristic property was renovated by a team of local craftsmen who restored a lot of the original features, like the exposed stone walls and original wooden beams. The area is great as you can combine both sightseeing and relax on a beach nearby.”
Activity and Interests
The Maremma coastline is just 20 minutes drive away, with its beautiful sandy beaches where you can enjoy water sports, relax and soak up the Tuscan sun or even hire bikes and cycle along the coast line through pine woods, keeping your eyes open for wild boar and deer!
Nearest airports, Pisa or Rome, are approx. 2.15 hours drive away. Car hire is essential! Albinia train station is only 15 minutes drive away where you can hop on a train to Rome for the day.
There are many interesting towns close by well worth a visit such as Pitigliano, Porto santo Stefano, Scansano, Magliano in Toscana, Sorano, Montiano, Montorgiali, Roccalbegna, Grosseto and many more. A little further a field are Siena and Pisa and the elegant cities of Rome and Florence are about 2 hours drive away or 1 hour by train. The Maremma national park is 25 mins drive and Saturnia's Hot Springs 30 mins drive. You can also take a ferry from Porto Santo Stefano to Giglio Island.
The whole area boasts delicious traditional cuisine and fine wines like DOC Morellino di Scansano from the nearby town of Scansano, where you can sample wines and local specialities in one of the characteristic ‘enotecas’ (tasting shops) or just sit outside the cafe with a delicious Italian ice-cream and watch the world go by! The famous spa town of Saturnia, only 30minutes drive away, with its hot natural springs cascading into small rock pools, like mother natures Jacuzzi is a definite must especially in the winter! For the more energetic there is a horse riding stables down near the beach just 20 minutes drive away, where you can trek through olive groves in the Tuscan hills. If you want lively bars and an English breakfast on your holiday, this is definitely not the place for you! If you’re looking for culture, art, crafts, tradition, local cuisine, fine wines all in an area of stunning natural beauty, where the pace of life slows right down under the Tuscan sun… then you’ll definitely enjoy a holiday in this part of paradise! Tuscany boasts a lovely climate. The best way to describe it is that it seems to have 'proper' seasons which all have something special to share with you... Warm sunny Spring days make a regular appearance from as early as March sending the area into full bloom with blossom on the trees and poppies by the roadside. The summers are hot and relaxing with inviting beaches and shaded pine forests. Autumn's sunny days are a kaleidoscope of colours, an array of aromas with bursting vines and olive groves awaiting harvest time. The winter months are colder, time to enjoy the quiet villages filled with the cosy aroma of wood burning on the open fires, wrap up warm for a stroll on the beach or soak away your worries in the nearby hot springs of Saturnia... Mother Nature's Jacuzzi!
