Holiday Home in Topsham, Nr.Exeter, South Devon, England - Quiet Location in Victoria Rd, close to Quay, Estuary and Local Shops. Garage Parking.

Beautifully finished throughout, the decor at No22 blends original architectural features with high quality contemporary furnishings. The light and airy living room has French windows leading to the private courtyard garden. The master bedroom is very spacious, and being partially below ground, is beautifully cool in Summer and warm in Winter. Peaceful, quiet location with no through traffic, yet very close to the town centre and harbour. Garage parking is available nearby. Topsham is a very attractive little town, full of interesting shops, first class restaurants and cafes. It has excellent facilities and is renowned for its architecture, riverside walks and bird life. It's easy to get to (only 3 miles from the M5).

Quality luxury accomodation

This is one of the nicest places I have stayed with Owners direct. We had everything in the house we could wish for all all equipment of a very high standard, and spotlessly clean.

Eve met us on arrival and explained the workings of the house and is a very pleasant lady to deal with.

Topsham is such a quaint village, with fabulous pubs and restaurants. We enjoyed lots of walks and we took the ferry to the Turf a lovely pub at he other side of the canal.

I would have no hesitation in recommending No. 22 to any of my friends.

We love Topsham and this little cottage is ideal for our needs, having returned twice we hope to come back again soon. Within a quiet location near the town, the property is well-equipped and very comfortable. Eve is very helpful and accommodating and we can't recommend highly enough

A wonderful location and a delightful apartment

We stayed in the property for 3 nights. We wanted a base from which to visit relatives in Exeter. But it was much more than a base. The only surprises we had were good ones. Everything was as the listing promised and more. The apartment was in perfect order, perfectly clean and designed and decorated to the highest standard. The owner came to see us on our first night and made us feel very welcome and she was cheerfully available on the phone for any small queries we had. Everything you might need in a holiday cottage was there. We have stayed in many holiday properties but never one so well appointed. We will certainly be returning.

A lovely home from home

We stayed for 3 nights and were very happy with the accommodation. The apartment feels more like a house (being on two floors), felt very homely and was unexpectedly very well-equipped. There was a full kitchen, TVs upstairs and down and a nice range of useful cooking basics. The owner had thoughtfully provided a few extras like milk and biscuits to get us going and we very quickly settled in. We particularly loved how quiet it was in spite of being close to the town centre. The bathroom does let the property down slightly being a bit tired and in need of a refresh but we wouldn't say it detracts too much from the overall quality standard.

We were aware the properly was on a narrow street with no specific off-street parking but we did try our luck temporarily parking in a neighbour's unused space to unload bags. This unfortunately didn't go down so well and got us into some trouble. The garage provided is fairly close but far enough to be a bit of a hike with suitcases and other paraphernalia. Parking in the nearby high street is a decent alternative but for only an hour between 9 and 6 unless on Sundays.

Altogether we were very happy with our stay and value for money (especially when compared with hotels in the town) is outstanding.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your very positive review. Agreed the bathroom could do with a bit of an update- I'm planning on doing this over the winter period! Just a note about the parking- garages in Topsham are very difficult to come by, and the one we provide is a little on the small side- but all day free on street parking is available in nearby Holman Way. Perfect autumn break

This is one of the most attractive apartments I have ever stayed in. It is extremely well equipped and beautifully furnished. The main bedroom is like something out of a stately home.

For the rest, it is very well situated, handy for shops, pubs and restaurants, and a good base for touring the area. We spent a very happy week.

Coast/Beach:

Exmouth beach, with 2 miles of golden sands is about 8 miles away. There are many other nearby beaches, within half an hour's drive, including Budleigh Salterton, Ladram Bay, Sidmouth and Lyme Regis.

Travel:

Exeter airport is 5 miles from Topsham. There is a regular service from Topsham rail station to the main line station at Exeter St Davids.

Distances:

Topsham is 5 miles from the historic city of Exeter, and just 3 miles from the Exeter junction of the M5. Dartmoor in 20 miles away.

Further Details:

Topsham has many excellent restaurants and local specialist food shops. There is a weekly market in the town hall. There is an open air heated swimming pool, bowling green and tennis courts in the town center.
