'Cottage' style apartment, in lovely village in the Eden Valley. Penrith is 20 mins drive, and Ullswater within 30 mins. The village shop is 2 mins walk, and there are two good Pubs in the village, both of which serve food. The Settle to Carlisle railway is one mile away, in the village of Lazonby, where there is also a good supermarket. Excellent walks can be started from the property without the need to use the car. There are many good eating places within easy reach.

Very clean, nicely set out comfortable and well equipped Cottage.

I knew the moment I stepped through the door that I was going to feel comfortable in this lovely little cottage, very well situated in Kirkoswald village with two good pubs almost on your doorstep, recommending The Crown Inn, especially for Steak night on Thursdays, great value!! we booked for it as soon as we got there and was glad we did as it gets very busy. The people in the village were very friendly. Totally enjoyed our 6 days at Kirkoswald, we have seen some great places and will definitely be returning.

Easy to get to, great communication from John and a well kept apartment

The apartment was clean and tidy. John has considered all the essentials and there was even a complimentary basket of products should you have forgotten any of your bathroom essentials. I tend to overthink what I might need to take on a self catering holiday but I was stunned to see that everything I could possibly want was provided for.

Fantastic location, only 20 minutes from Penrith and 30 minutes from Ullswater Lake, and the village had a lovely welcoming feel.

I can highly recommend staying here.

Phone reception is not brilliant, but I think that is usually a given for the Lake District - it gives you all the more opportunity to enjoy your surroundings.

Clean, well equipped and quiet location.

Quiet village location with local shop and two pubs. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Ample room and storage for clothes. Private parking space.

Can't fault it

Lovely accommodation in a knock out location

First time in the Eden valley and pleasantly surprised the accommodation is faultless bright and modern and everything you need, the village has a good shop and the two brilliant pubs The only down side is no mobile signal but is that bad thing

Charming cosy apartment

This was a clean and tidy apartment with a really homely, quaint feel. There were clear, friendly and helpful instructions left, and two really great pubs literally round the corner, no need for a taxi! There was everything we needed at the apartment and the real coal fire was a fantastic bonus.

One day we went horse riding near Penrith, was a fantastic experience that would suit most age groups. Lots of walks and nice eateries. To be honest there was everything we needed.

Comfortable apartment in convenient location

Stayed in this apartment in Kirkoswald when visiting family who live nearby. Very comfortable and homely, with everything we needed and more! A plentiful supply of towels and toiletries in the bathroom, kitchen well stocked too. Beds really comfy and warm. Nice little village with many pretty walks, a local store and 2 pubs doing tasty food, the Featherstone Arms do a great roast, didn't eat at Crown, but family went for steak night and said very good. Pays to book if there are a few of you. Lazonby, a mile away, has a big co-op store with post office and cashpoint.
