Villa in Olhos D' Agua, Albufeira, Algarve, Portugal - 5 Minute Walk to the Village

Vila Nuno is a lovely Algarvean villa set in its own private grounds. The villa has been extensively remodelled this year (2017) with an open plan look featuring a brand new kitchen and refurbished lounge/dining area. The property is ideally located just a short stroll to the bustling fishing village of Olhos D'Agua with many shops, supermarkets, restaurants and small bars. The wonderful beach is at the end of the village road, less than 1km from the villa. Olhos D'Agua is situated between Vilamoura and Albufeira with the former less than 15 mins by car and the latter just 7 to 8 mins away. The villa is a short drive from Faro Airport, not more than 35 mins. Golf courses are plentiful with the nearby 9 hole Sheraton Pine Cliffs while Vilamoura boasts no less than half a dozen courses. There are several water parks close by as is the excellent Zoo Marine with its famous Dolphin shows, all within a 25 min drive. The renowned Algarve Shopping complex in Guia is less than 20 mins by car. The overall feeling within the gates of Vila Nuno is one of tranquility and peace. You can expect to wind down here and relax within the grounds and enjoy the privacy on offer. The upper floor of the villa will always remain closed off during your stay.

Paradise found

A beautiful spot in a private location with every amenity close by. This villa is very spacious, and well appointed. The large living and dining areas are great for group gatherings and indoor sessions. Great kitchen, fully appointed, and has a handy laundry room attached. The bathrooms are beautifully renovated and equipped with showers and tubs. Lots of privacy for guests - each bedroom has a patio door opening onto the pool area. The patio and garden offer great options for total relaxation, either lounging quietly with a book in your own space, or pool-side sunbathing with a regular dip in the beautiful pool to cool off. There are lots of pool toys and flotation beds, and plenty of space for the table tennis table. The patio table with umbrellas and lots of chairs is great for poolside dining. Pool is maintained regularly, and landscaping is done a couple of times per week.

The villa is located within walking distance from the village; a hopping place with a fantastic variety of restaurants. Great breakfasts followed by a stroll around the village or a walk on the beach before heading back to the villa for the afternoon was the order of the day. Taxi rank is only 5 mins. walk from the villa, but we only used it for going to nearby villages. Never felt unsafe walking around - even in the wee hours heading back to the villa.

We were a group of adults for the 1 week stay, and we all considered it to be the best holiday we've had. It's got everything you need for a memorable, enjoyable, comfortable say. We're already booked for a week this summer!

Fab villa

We had a fabulous time at villa Nuno it had everything you could possibly need and want everything had been thought of even down to an umbrella that was only needed for one day of our holiday.The villa was very clean and equipped with everything you need.There was a beautiful pool and lots of outside space very private not overlooked. Only a short walk to all the amenities and the beach. I would recommend this villa to anyone who enjoys a bit of luxury and peace and quite but also close to bars and restaurants best of both worlds. From the moment we arrived we were impressed. Very clean spacious and well kept villa. A few issues with the pool and persistent ants in the garden but soon resolved. In a lovely area with plenty to do if you want to. Wendy was always on hand if we needed her and the communication was excellent. A few points though the garden furniture was the white plastic chairs which would have been nicer if they were a little more substantial and comfy and the kitchen was not that well equipped if you were to cook a lot of meals in the villa. Overall a fantastic villa in a great location will be returning thank you Gerry

Best holiday

Villa Nuno is a fantastic location for a family holiday. We had teenagers and extended family; The villa itself is perfect, with lots of space, a well fitted kitchen for family meals, quality bathrooms, comfortable bedrooms looking out on stunning garden. The swimming pool is fantastic and very clean and well maintained and good deep end. We spent hours in water and sunbathing on comfortable outdoor beds. Sitting in the shade, under the portico, reading and watching colourful hoopoe bird on lawn and local farmer herding sheep in next field, was idyllic. Hard to believe that a 10 minute walk brought you to the bustling seafront and restaurants/small shops. Great swimming in Olhos and beaches close by. Stay by pool if surf running high, good life guards and flags will let you know when to stay out of water. There is a good supermarket about 5-7 mins walk and close enough to carry food home. A couple of great bakeries close too. Very good local taxi and minibus service collected us at the Villa and brought us to Albufeira, Guia Shopping (open late), Splashworld and local markets. Local buses run along the Algarve coast. Very good range of restaurants and Fratelli brothers Pizza had great atmosphere and excellent pizza. For the energetic there are good coastal paths. The location generally suits walkers and we stayed for 2 weeks without a car. There are some hills down by the sea but all very manageable. We also felt very safe walking home in the evenings and walking around the village and all very friendly. Small fishing fleet still operates from Olhos D’agua. I would highly recommend this Villa, hard to beat pool, impeccable garden, location, space and facilities.

A piece of heaven

A beautiful home and property, great location, and lovely part of Portugal. The villa is spacious, very comfortable, all the creature comforts you'd ever want, AND comes with a fantastic pool and patio. You don't even have to go to the beach, but if you do, there are some beauties within a 10 minutes' drive.

The villa is literally on the edge of town, which itself is within minutes of walking. This provides a nice break from the stresses of waking up late to a sunny Atlantic sky, or an afternoon of lazing around the pool amidst a soft breeze.

An ideal spot - we'll be coming back again!

Olhos D'Agua is on the wonderful Algarvean coastline. The local beach is compact and spotlessly clean. It is approx 750 metres from Vila Nuno,a brisk 10 minute walk. The beach links up with the lovely Falesia beach which goes all the way into Vilamoura and on which are all the usual water sports activities ie ski jets/paragliding/banana boats etc. There are also several other beautiful beaches within a 15 minute drive.


Faro Airport is approx 30kms away - a driving time of not more than 35 mins.


The villa is a 5 minute walk to the lovely old fishing village of Olhos D'Agua.

Further Details:

The village has a great range of shops and restaurants with all tastes catered for. Eating out represents great value and, in particular, given its location on the coast, fresh fish is a speciality. Supermarkets, banks, taxi rank are all close by and not more than a 5 minute walk from the villa. The wonderful local indoor market with its fresh fish, fruit and vegetables and butcher and bread shops is also just a 5 minute stroll.

  • Notes on accommodation: Vila Nuno is a very child friendly environment within a very private setting and security gates. All access doors to the property also have shutters for added privacy and security. Outside: The pool is private to the villa. It is a spacious 29 x 14 feet with shallow and deep ends, 1 metre deep at the shallowest point dropping to 1.8metres. The patio wraps around the entire back of the villa and is very size able in the context of available space for sun bathing, games etc. The lawn is also a great setting for sun bathing and relaxing. There are 6+ pool beds and two sets of patio tables and chairs. There is an outdoor built-in BBQ which is very easy to use. To the front of the villa, which is entered through private security gates, there is ample room for parking up to 3 cars. There is table tennis and table football available also for both small and big people! Utility Room: The washing machine is housed in the utility room. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: A weekly cleaning service to include fresh linen and towels will be provided. Other: All three bedrooms are substantial double room size. 2x twin rooms have ample space for camp beds if required.
