Apartment in Matlock Bath, Peak District, Near Matlock & Bakewell, Derbyshire, England - Hillside Location, 5 Minutes Walk To Train Station, Bus Stop And Town Centre

Built in the early 1800's Danbury Lodge was a former gentleman's residence. The apartment is situated on the top floor of the lodge with its own access separate from the main house. The apartment is very spacious & modern with gas central heating and double glazing through out. The whole apartment has been refurbished in Nov 2012. Danbury Lodge is just off the A6 Matlock Bath and a 5 minute walk from the train station, bus stop, village centre, restaurants, pubs and cafes. Situated in the heart of the peak district a short car or bus ride to Chatsworth house, Haddon Hall, Bakewell and Alton Towers. Special attractions of Matlock Bath are the illuminations, Venetian lights, cable cars, hieghts of Abraham, Gullivers Kingdom theam park & spectacular fire work display which can be seen from Danbury Lodge and take place September to October. Boxing day is the famous raft race from Matlock to Matlock Bath in aid of RNLI. The lodge garden backs onto the The Heights of Abraham land.

About Sharron Seal

My family and I moved to Danbury Lodge in the Summer of 2006. We fell in love with the house, views and location. The building was a fabulous size although very run down. For the last 6 years we have updated and refurbished the whole of the Lodge including the apartment. Which we currently enjoy renting to holiday makers and short term tenants. Although we are on site under the apartment all our guest have privacy but know where to find us should we be of any help for any reason. Be it information on local site's, restaurants or anything we can do to make your stay with us enjoyable. We welcome all our guest's with a complimentary welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits.

Why Sharron Seal chose Derbyshire Dales

I Sharron was born in the area and have always had a love of the Derbyshire Dales especially Matlock Bath. Having gone to college in London & lived and travelled around the world Barry & decided to return to Matlock to settle down and bring up our family. Our two boys enjoy growing up here and the freedom it offers them.With beautyfull views and holiday atmosphere theres nothing to not like.

With easy transport links to Derby them virtually anywhere in the UK its a great location to get around.

Danbury Lodge is a peaceful heaven & very quite. Upon walking down into Matlock Bath theres lots to do with a young family. Located in the Derbyshire Dales its a 20 minute car ride to most of the Dales.

What makes this apartment unique

Danbury Lodge is spacious and centrally located to enjoy everything Matlock Bath & Matlock have to offer with needing to get the car out every time.

Once you've had enough of the lovely walks on the door step you can always jump on the train or bus to get back home.

A good nights sleep will be easy to achieve. Dress mirror, wardrobe space, hairdryer and reading lamps. fitted wardrobes with plenty of hanging space & shelves stunning views.

Notes on accommodation: No smoking, No Pets, due to access with steps not suitable for people with walking difficulties.No garden directly off the apartment is acient woodland with a variety of wild life and birds. Parking is available on the street. Outside: The rear garden leading up to The Heights of Abraham consists of mature wood land with a variety of trees plants and wild life. Guests are welcome to walk around, although it is steep and leads to the bottom of Hieghts of Abraham. There is no seating area but steps leading up to the garden which guest's are welcome to use. The front of the house is private. Thank you Utility Room: iron, ironing board, clothes horse. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bedlinen are included. The property is cleaned weekly. Additional charge for change of beds or cleaning more frequently than weekly will be applied. All bed linen is 100% cotton on all beds Other: Entrance hall which can accommodate walking books and wet weather gear, lockable storage for bikes and other outdoor gear available at the lodge. Please advise if this is required when booking

Lovely accommodation....

This is a lovely apartment which is kept very well, clean and tidy with everything thing in it you can need for a very pleasant stay.... very homely and cozy. Only really down side for me is the mattress could do with being a lot firmer... maybe a new one is needed... (but maybe that's just me) and I didn't realize quite how steep the the roads would be, but all in all a really lovely place...

Very well equipped, lovely views.

Five stars and very comfortable once inside the property. The two sets of uneven stone steps, without a rail, were a bit daunting! The flat has lovely views and is very well equipped. It even has a pair of tawny owls! Nice to lie in bed and enjoy the view over the valley.

Very good location with excellent facilities and stunning views.

Just got back from a very enjoyable 4 night stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We were surprised at how much space was available in the apparent and the cleanliness was to a high standard. The facilities were also very good and we had everything we needed. The views are stunning and the location is excellent. We will certainly return in the future!

The lodge was much larger than expected, and came with some exceptional views. It was also exceptionally clean and well-maintained, we couldn't possibly say a bad word about it. We also had a brief but lovely chat with the host about what we got up to during our stay which we enjoyed. Without a doubt. we would definitely stay again.

Belle maison typique

Appartement au dernier étage d'une confortable maison,accès indépendant par un escalier derrière la maison.Accueil chaleureux des propriétaires.Location très propre,linge de maison qui sent bon comme à la maison.Cuisine bien équipée.Très belle vue sur Matlock Bath.

Restaurants et balade près du fleuve à pied à partir de la maison.

Possibilité de se garer facilement en face de la maison.

Très belle région.
