You have a truly beautiful house set in a wonderful area to explore. We had no worries about the grandchildren as the pool and garden were enough to keep them occupied. Many thanks for sharing your home with us, we've had a great week.

We were delighted with the standard of accommodation. The house is lovely, well equipped and this is enhanced by the superb garden and pool - certainly one of the nicest properties that we've rented over the years. All in all, thoroughly enjoyed our week in the Dordogne which is a beautiful area.

Great location, excellent villa

  • 5 of 5

The villa is in a great location for visiting everywhere in the Dordogne from Bergerac to Sarlat. The weather was particularly hot when we stayed (35-40C) so the pool was a welcome relief from the heat. Also, the downstairs stayed cool. The beds were very comfortable and the decor was also of a very high standard. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property. Lalinde is close by with a good supermarket for supplies.

Outstanding property inside and out

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in private villas in France, Spain and Portugal over the years, but nothing compares to the beautiful Villa Marguerite. The house - furniture, decor, garden were stunning, and would not be out of place in Homes and Garden magazine. We had a wonderful week, relaxing by the pool, but also took the opportunity to visit many areas of the Dordogne, as the villa is ideally placed for such excursions. We would recomend it without reservation and hope to revisit in the not too distant future.

Beautiful home in a great location with the dordogne literally on your doorstep. There is plenty to do for the children in the area and loads of great places to eat reasonably priced too!! Well maintained property and the kids loved the pool it is even better than the pictures. Easy reach of some beautiful local towns and activities. Wendy and Lou were fantastic responding to any emails we had immediately whilst we were away and even posting our kindle that we had left behind!! Highly recommended stress free holiday.... Fabulous Property!

  • 5 of 5

We were absolutely delighted with this property. We chose it because it looked lovely in the pictures, but the pictures just don't do the house justice. It has been lovingly restored by the owners and they have thought of everything. It is the nicest property we have ever stayed at and for once I can't think of one thing that could be improved. The beds really were comfortable, and it was spotlessly clean. The outdoor eating facilities were fantastic but the dining room was also a lovely place to eat when the weather wasn't so good. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit this beautiful part of the Dordogne. Thank you Wendy and Lou for giving us the opportunity to stay in your wonderful French home and for being such excellent hosts.

We probably picked the worst week of weather this year in the Dordogne, however that did not detract from this wonderful villa, it's in a great location, fantastic indoors, great outdoors, beds are unbelievable, best nights sleep ever. would I go back??? with some sunshine!!! tomorrow. Enjoy.
