Norfolk and East Anglia is one of the few relatively unspoilt parts of England. The historic centres of Norwich, Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds are a delight with museums, galleries theatres and shopping centres. The apartment is located in mid Norfolk which gives easy access to each of the above towns and cities as well as the beautiful north Norfolk coast. For nature lovers, walkers, golfers historians and families there is a vast array of attractions in the area. A few are listed: Pensthorpe - Home of the BBC Springwatch programme. Thetford Forest with walks from the High Lodge Forest Centre or Go Ape with the high wire forest adventure. Sandringham House shops and garden. Norfolk Broads with daily boat hire. Racecourse at Newmarket, Fakenham and Great Yarmouth. Bressingham - 4 railways, fabulous gardens and National Dads Army collection. Banham Zoo with car boot sale on Sunday mornings. Wroxham Barns - home to many craft studios. Numerous inland and coastal golf courses.

Lovely well equiped apartment in an idyllic setting. Have really enjoyed our stay. Peaceful but enhanced by the antics of the golfers on the 18th - free entertainment. We will be back.

An absolutely fantastic venue wiyh everything you would want. The location is central to so much for the kids including super beaches and a great adventure park. Our two just loved it. Geoff and Linda make excellent hosts - charming, pleasant and always keen to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.We will definitely harbour fond memories of our stayand hope to return. We enjoyed this luxurious apartment with its excellent open views. Near to the centre of Watton with shops and eating places and within easy reach of many lovely places to visit - it was the ideal holiday location. So often holiday lets do not meet expectations - this one certainly did.

Amazing place to escape for a peaceful break.

From the moment I arrived here the peaceful setting just takes your breath away. The apartment is spotless with beautiful linen on the beds.

The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of crockery, glasses pots and pans and cooking utensils. There is a dishwasher, washing machine etc and everything works well. There is free wifi and also sky TV and they have board games too. We stayed with our toddler daughter and the owners arranged a seat booster which was a nice touch. They can also set up a crib/highchair if required.

The apartment opens out on to the golf course. There is a table outside with plenty of chairs for alfresco dining. We had breakfast and evening meals outside whist watching the golfers. Even if it rains, you can sit out has there the covered balcony above keeps you dry. There are plenty of places for day trips nearby. If you have young children, I would highly recommend Bessingham Steam trains.

This place felt like a home from home and only 2 hours from London. It makes a great place to escape to any time of the year. I would certainly be coming back !

Short break in Norfolk

This is a lovely ground floor apartment with large patio windows looking out onto the 18th fairway of Richmond Park golf course. The apartment has great facilities with a pretty decor and is exceptionally clean. It is situated in a great spot for accessing all areas of Norfolk both inland places and the coast as we'll as giving special rates for the pretty and friendly golf course. I took my husband on a short break here and we would both highly recommend a stay. Great for a couple or a small family. Thank you to Geoff the owner we will see you again in the near future. Delightful Apartment

A lovely apartment equipped to a very high standard in a pleasant location overlooking the 18th hole on the golf course. There is a supermarket in Watton a 10 minute walk away also Willow House a good place to eat. It is ideally situated for sightseeing as well as being comfortable for a relaxing break. We were fortunate to have good weather and ate outside on the patio all week. This was our 2nd visit to the apartment but not our last. Great relaxing holiday

golf course. The owners Geoff and Linda were around when we were there, and they couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We would

recommend this apartment to anyone, we thoroughly enjoyed it, and

Highly recommended

I would highly recommend a stay at this apartment. It is extremely well presented, clean and has all the facilities you require and more. The location by the eighteenth hole of the golf course is good and you are able to use the golf club facilities which we did for lunch. Location is central for visiting many locations in Norfolk.

If I were to visit that area again I would certainly consider staying at this apartment again.

Coast/Beach:

The marvellous north Norfolk coast beaches including Holkham and Hunstanton (the only west facing beach on the east coast!),bird watching marshes as well as interesting small towns such as Wells-next-the-Sea, Holt and the seaside resorts of Cromer and Sheringham are all under an hours drive from Fairway View.

Travel:

We would recommend a car to enable you to explore the lovely Breckland area and beyond. The nearest airports are Norwich approx 25 miles and Stansted approx 68 miles. The nearest stations are Thetford approx 10 miles and Norwich approx 20 miles. Bus services to various locations operate from the High St which is a few minutes walk from Fairway View.

Further Details:

Watton is a small market town in the beautiful Breckland area of Norfolk. The High Street has a good selection of shops, banks, Boots and a Somerfield/Co-op as well as a great bakery and a superb butcher who does a roaring lunchtime trade in various hot roast rolls. A Tesco store is approx 200 yards from the High Street. Chinese, Indian and Italian restaurants and various takeaways are available. Town centre pubs and country pubs in nearby villages. The golf clubhouse has a spike bar with snacks as well a nice restaurant. Watton also has a very well equipped gymnasium and sports centre within jogging distance! A great base for exploring the many delights of Norfolk and East Anglia.

  • Notes on accommodation: Unfortunately we are unable to accept pets and there is no smoking inside the property. Heat and smoke alarms, fire blanket and fire extinguisher are provided as well as fire doors where required. Outside: The apartment has a patio with table and chairs and a BBQ. A small lawned area and low fence separates the property from the 18th fairway of the golf club. The twin patio doors of the living room give lots of natural daylight into the room as well as affording lovely views over the golf course. A car port provides parking for two cars with further parking available in the golf club car park. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Duvets, towels and Supima cotton linen are provided. Cleaning service at changeover. Change of linen for two week stays. Linen is not provided for the Greco travel cot.
