Apartments in Villajoyosa, Costa Blanca - 2 minutes walk to Beautiful Sandy Beach
Experience a bit of "Real" Spain in this charming, well appointed apartment which are in one of the multi-coloured hanging houses, overlooking the River Amadorio. The apartment has a balcony overlooking the river giving an open airy aspect. The apartment is tastefully decorated in a "Moorish" style with original wooden beams. With a separate entrance hall from a quiet street, there are only 5 steps up to enter the apartment

A beautiful traditional Spanish town house with modern conveniences, very good value for money 5 minutes from the beach, very relaxing stay location is perfect away from the normal Tourist hotels,
Absolutely brilliant. We have just had a great time staying here in VillaJoiosa. Excellent apartment, everything we could need. Lovely view from the balcony overlooking the river bed and with a sea view. Many brilliant bars within 5 minutes walk, La Place Tu (up the hill and under the town hall to the square by the church) and many on the front, one of our favourites being Zepplin. The apartment has comfortable beds, tv (if you are interested - not our thing on holiday), we only ate in two evenings, but everything that was required was in the kitchen. People had left bits and bobs in the bathroom, which was good as we hadn't taken just enough. Great that Sharon had left these bits for us. Good quality towels, which is always a bonus, umbrella and chairs for the beach. There are loads of supermarkets, restaurants, bars and parks so close to this apartment. Sharon very helpful and nothing was too much. Very accommodating in letting us leave our cases for a few hours so we did not have to take them around with us for our last few hours of our holiday. Washing machine, pegs and line all available.
Thank you for helping us to have a smashing holiday

My experience in Villajoysa Old Town apartment
We stayed in the apartment for a week in June this year. It was a really good experience. It is located in the Old Town so we were living how the Spanish lived. The apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything needed for a perfect stay. The location was perfect minutes from the town and also the beach. We were greeted by the owner Sharon who pointed us in the right direction for the best supermarkets shops and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this apartment great value for money.
Great Location in Villajoyosa!
This is an excellent located apartment, situated right in the centre of the old town, and absolutely "Old Spain". It is quite well equipped, with WiFi and a TV/DVD player and all the usual items you need for a nice relaxing holiday, (hairdryer, washing machine, toaster, kettle etc). The apartment is quite small, but that is totally typical of the area, and has beamed ceilings - it's in one of the "hanging house" that Villajoyosa is rightly famous for, with lovely views over the river. In the small bedroom, the bed is very comfortable - and the apartment, by the nature of its very thick old walls, was cool and refreshing, (Richard the owner, told me parts of the building are 13th century!!) The street-access is 100% Spanish, no traffic at all!!! because the street is very narrow and pretty, a truly Spanish experience! If you're looking for the modern, city centre, ubiquitous, muliti-level, cardboard-walled hotel, with a ocean-size pool and thousands of well-oiled guests, then this ain't for you! Try Benidorm instead, and good luck with that!. This is Spanish with a capital "S", this is what we went for and we weren't disappointed. The location of the apartment is just about 4 minutes from the beach, if you're a slow walker - 3 minutes if you're quicker. The beautiful promenade and beach needs to seen, photos don't do it justice. There are many little restaurants and bars along the prom, are all serving an excellent range of good food and drink at very competitive prices...(try the Menu of the Day, for seriously good value...) Keep an eye out for El Figaro Bar, go right through the bar, it gets better inside, very nice,! and a bit further down the prom, is Bar Natalia 2, run by a very bubbly Dutch/Brit lady who bar is really welcoming and comfortable.(Just 2Euros for a good glass of wine...) And the beach...beautiful...pristine, clean, long and equipped with sunbeds, parasols, clear, clean water, and clumps of really tall palm trees. Pretty is an understatement! Don't just stay on the beach though! Villajoyosa's tiny little streets behind the prom MUST be explored, beautiful, picturesque and cool. Take a camera and get lost in the maze of old streets and courtyards... Further afield, there is so much to visit and explore. There is an excellent tram service that runs along the coast from Alicante to Denia. The owners, Sharon and Richard couldn't have been more helpful, and we appreciated their spot-on advice and judgement, which helped us a lot!
Activity and Interests
3 minutes walk to lovely sandy blue flag beach and from there to the fishing port where you can still buy fresh fish directly from the fishermen. The beach is ideal for children as there are several lifeguards and it has a gradual slope into deeper water. Also there are designated play areas with volley ball and climbing frames. There are numerous excellent restaurants along the sea front.
All facilities (shops, restaurants, healthcare etc) are a few minutes walk away and there are plenty of taxis, a train station and buses (within a 5 minute walk from the apartments). If you do wish to explore the inland countryside and villages, cars can be hired locally or at the airport.
Villajoyosa has a railway station linking the whole of the coast from Alicante to Denia. Benidorm can be reached both by bus and train. Alicante is about 30km away & the train journey is about an hour. Alicante Airport is 35 mins drive away. Valencia is about 100km but there is a high speed motorway all the way so the journey by car is only about 90 mins. Alternatively, from Benidorm you can take the express coach and it is possible to just do a day trip. Mountain villages are accessible by car.
The Valor Chocolate Factory is in Villajoyosa and you can take on a tour of the manufacturing process and the famous Valor chocolate is irresistible.
In the main town there are a wide variety of shops, including supermarkets, shoe & clothes shops, numerous banks, health food shops, gymnasium & a recently built auditorium for music etc. In the summer concerts are also held in the open air theatre. There is a daily food market for fresh produce and a weekly market on Thursdays selling clothes, household effects, food, drink & crafts.
The old town has a unique character and history and there are often street markets and festivals taking place here. The most famous being the Moors and Christian’s festival in the last week of July. However there are others throughout the year & we will advise what is happening during your stay.
There is a large shopping centre (10mins by train) which has many of the popular stores including Zara & Mango where prices are lower than other countries.
Theme parks in the Benidorm area include Terramitica, Aqualandia, Mundomar and Terra Natura.
