A luxury villa situated on a private road, three minutes from the old town of Cancelada with its abundance of gourmet restaurants and cafes, overlooking the fairways of Los Flamingos Golf Course with extensive mountain and sea views. Set in a large, immaculate, mature garden the grounds offer an abundance of space with the tranquillity afforded to a property of this size, fully walled and with electric gates. The south east facing patios, equipped with BBQ overlook the pool, terrace and lawns. With the introduction of the newly opened San Pedro tunnel, Puerto Banus is 10 minutes away while the beach in front of Cancelada and the Villa Padierna Hotel Beach Bar is no more than a few minutes’ drive. The Costa Del Sol appeal is endless, offering holidays to sun seekers with its endless stretches of beaches, warm seas and chiringitos; golfers and the dozens of choice golf courses, fishing, hiking, riding, mountain biking, cycling, skiing and an abundance of nightlife and simply relaxing.

About Ted

We left South Africa at the end of the 90s and looked for "the ideal" spot in Europe which in some way reflected the lifestyle and weather pattern of SA. Someone mentioned the south of Spain and we never looked back. The millions of visitors to the coast annually is testament to this. We built our home in the quiet surroundings of Finca Del Lago, just outside the village of Cancelada, overlooking Los Flamingo golf course. The house is spacious, surrounded by large lawns and provides all the luxuries for a great holiday, as a home away from home. The house is a few minutes from the beach and Cancelada Village is approximately half way between Marbella and Estepona.

What a place

We where a mixed party of 17 who had looked for somewhere to celebrate a joint 40/50th birthday, I had done some research and chose this property as from the website it looked as if there was plenty of room.

We booked a transfer from the airport but 1 of our party hired a car and went ahead with others whilst we waited for the transfer.

Initially there was a minor problem with finding the Villa on the Sat Nav and the transfer driver had a similar issue. But when we did arrive it certainly had the WOW factor.

We where met by the Owner Ted who handed over the keys and fobs so as we could open the gates.

All the rooms are big double beds most with ensuite

There where 3 bedrooms on each floor in the lower floor was also a games room with table tennis pool and fussball.

The kitchen is big and had plenty initially we couldn't get the dishwasher to work but worked it out eventually (you need to hold the button on the right down for several seconds)

I would advise at least 1 car if you are getting food shopping ect

There is a BBQ at the side of the house and on 2 of the 3 days we where ther we used it, the ALDI shop did some nice kebabs and chicken sausages

The pool is nice however a bit chilly lol

All in all a great property and we are certainly looking at coming back either with a couple of families or a group of friends.

The owner leaves his mobile no invade of emergency or any other problems

Ps we got taxi's to Peurta Banus in the evening and they where around €20

absoloutly outstanding

We stayed in villa africa for a week at the end of july. This was actually the accommodation booked out to host our wedding. The villa is out of this world! everything is immaculate. It was the perfect venue for a wedding, everyone was totally amazed by the size and features. The gardens and space outside was so spacious, it allowed us to host our ceremony, welcome drinks and dinner on different parts of the grounds. Ted the owner was really helpful, he was really responsive when we needed any advise making it a very comfortable stay.

We would love to stay here again and would recommend to anyone.

Amazing

We stayed here for 3 nights for a family celebration in May. The villa surpassed our expectations it was truly amazing. Would highly recommend booking as so spacious and the grounds are immaculate. Looking to book again next year. Ted was very helpful with any requests or queries we had. The local restaurant in Cancelada is definitely worth a visit.

Amazing villa

Just got back from a family holiday here and I must say it was amazing. The villa was beautiful. The rooms were huge and very clean. Garden was lovely, good size pool and had a volleyball net which was just what we needed for family games. Perfect location, not a long drive into the centre. Would definitely come back again.

Distances:

Cancelada Village is an enjoyable 10 minute walk "in the country" from the Villa, while Estepona, San Pedro, Puerto Banus, Benahavis and Marbella are all between 8 and 15 minutes away. Each with its own attractions, Marbella and the Old Town, Benahavis perched up in the mountains with its narrow streets and restaurants; Puerto Banus, well known for its nightlife, restaurants and boats while the nearby Spanish towns of Marbella, San Pedro and Estepona delight with shops, bars & restaurants.

A non refundable deposit of £2000.00 is required at the time of booking. Full payment is to be made 60 days prior to commencement of rental. On arrival the booking deposit becomes the security/damage deposit which will be refunded one week after the end of the rental, provided that no damage to the Villa or its contents is found after the property has been checked.
All payments are to be made by bank transfer.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are Saturday to Saturday from mid June to the end of August yearly. Otherwise at any time with a minimum of three nights.

  • Notes on accommodation: The 2 ground floor bedrooms, 5 and 6 lead onto the patio and pool area. The villa is air-conditioned through out and has under floor heating on the 1st and ground floor. The 3 bedrooms en suite on the lower level lead out to private patios and the garden. The games room is equipped with a pool table, table tennis and football table and has its own shower/toilet facilities. The Villa has an alarm system, is monitored by a security company and has electric gates. Children are more than welcome and the safe expansive grounds provides all the space required. Outside: The villa is set in delightful, peaceful surroundings, is totally private and provides all the space for both indoor and outdoor living and entertainment. All ground floor doors; lounge, dining room and bedrooms lead onto the patio and extensive pool area. The BBQ area with pizza oven is wood fired and there are loungers, tables and chairs around the pool. The house is situated on a private road, with only 8 homes there is very little traffic. Utility Room: Large utility room with two washing machines, tumble dryer, clothes hanger, iron and ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels are included. Pools/beach towels are also provided. The villa is clean on arrival and the property is cleaned on a weekly basis. Linen and towels are changed weekly. Additional maid and other services are available on request. Other: In front of the dining room is the barbecue and pizza oven patio with sink and cold water. The table comfortably seats 10.
