Villa in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote - Peaceful Location 2 Minutes To The Sea Front

Casa Denise is a spacious detached villa with large open plan lounge & dining area opening up onto a sunny private patio for outdoor eating and sunbathing. The villa is in a quiet private position but only a short walk to the supermarket, local bars and restaurants. 50 metres away is the private access onto the long seafront promenade which stretches the length of Costa Teguise. After a 5 minute stroll is the local beach. A further 10 minutes walk will take you to the main resort of Costa Teguise and Los Cucharas beach where you will find is a must for windsurfers. The villa is located in a private community and has access to a large communal swimming pool. There is also a Tennis Court and Gym (local charge). A car port is attached to the villa offering private parking. A short drive away is the Golf Course and Water Park or catch a local bus which stops nearby.

About the Owner

I am a travel agent who has travelled the world but always loved Lanzarote. My husband and I first bought a property here more than 25 years ago.

I love spending time outdoors and Lanzarote provides that sunny climate and safe environment.

We live in the North of England and have a Border Collie Dog called Bobby. Leaving him at home is the only draw back.

My husband and I had owned two previous properties in Costa Tequise but loved the space and location of the Villa. We bought it when it was being renovated having had a duplex in Las Piteras. We were looking for somewhere peaceful but within walking distance of everything which is not always easy. We feel we found the perfect location here. With the private gated access to the sea front it is in an ideal location for long walks around the bay taking in the fresh air. There is a great community in this area and always someone happy to help. In all the years of coming to Lanzarote we have never encountered any problems and we love the people. I feel it is safe for me to walk out on my own day or night and that has never changed in all these years.

Special interest holidays:

There are mapped out walking areas around the resort offering a short walk, 6 miles and a 10 mile hike. Windsurfing from the main Los Cucharas beach is a 15 min stroll away. Bike Hire and Mountain Bike trails are available locally. There is a Dive Centre 5 mins walk away on the sea front.

Coast/Beach:

The coast is only 50 metres away which is a beautiful promenade walk along the coast for 5 minutes to the nearest beach, which is a mixture of volcanic sand. A further 5 minutes takes you to the golden sandy beach outside the Tequise Playa hotel. Further along is the famous Las Cucharas beach which has golden sand with sunbeds and umbrellas to hire. Here you will find the windsurfers section of the beach.

Travel:

Arrecife Airport is a 15 minute drive away. The port of Arrecife is a 5 minute drive away. Car hire is not essential there are plenty of taxi's at the airport.

Distances:

The centre of Costa Teguise is only a 15 minute walk away with local bars shops and restaurants. There is a local market on a Friday night in the village square. The Sunday market is held in Teguise which is inland in the village centre. Take the local bus or drive approximately 20 minutes away. The water park is only a 5 minute drive and on the way to the Teguise Golf Course.

Further Details:

There is a supermarket opposite the main entrance to the villa complex. Further shops, restaurants and bars are also along this road together with the local bank.

Booking Notes:
To book you will be required to pay a non refundable deposit of £200 per week the balance of which is due 8 weeks prior to departure. A £100 security deposit will also be charged and returned within two weeks of your return if no damage has been caused and the keys returned.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible. Check in to the villa not before 14.00 hrs and you must vacate the villa at 10.30 hrs on the day of departure in order for the villa to be cleaned in time for the next guest.

We didn't want the upkeep of a private pool so feel we found the best of both worlds with a large community pool outside the back gate. There are plenty of places to eat and all within walking distance of the villa which we love. We always take a walk along the sea front every day and you can go all the way around the bay. The supermarket is just a 5 minute walk away as is the bank. If you want to get active there is a gym and tennis court but sitting on a sunbed is my type of relaxation reading good book.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: The villa is on one level with no internal stairs. There are stairs down to the carport and private road access and 4 steps up to the rear pool area. There is a pool bar serving snacks and drinks and a children's paddling pool as well as the large main pool. Outside: The villa is surrounded by three sides of tilled patio and planted garden area. The sunny patio has a black marble table with six chairs, two of which recline and two matching sun loungers. There are a further four sunbeds. Around the large communal pool there are a good supply of sun loungers and sunshades which are free to our guests. The tennis court and gym are on site and there is a local charge for these facilities. Utility Room: There is a washing machine which is located in one of the bathrooms. Iron & Ironing board is available. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen & towels are included in the rental. Linen and towel change once a week. Extra cleaning can be arranged and paid for locally. Other: The front door opens into a vestibule area where all the bedrooms lead off, an archway leads into the open plan lounge/dining & kitchen area.
