Attractive penthouse apartment with roof terrace on one of the most popular complexes in Los Alcázares, offering 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living /dining room and pool facing balcony. The Divino complex is a gated development which is only a few minutes from the Mercadona plaza with its wide selection of international restaurants, shops and bars and it is also less than 10 minutes walk to the sandy beaches of the Mar Menor and a beautiful marine promenade. Los Alcázares is ideally situated for Murcia airport, with a taxi to town costing around 10€, so if you want a really relaxing and car free holiday, this is for you! You can save on the cost of car rental yet, if you decide to explore, there is a good bus service to the historical cities of Cartagena and Murcia. The Mar Menor is the largest sea lagoon in Europe, offering safe bathing, many water activities and beautiful views. Low cost flights are easily available for both Murcia (5 mins) and Alicante (50 mins) airports.

I decided to buy a holiday &, perhaps, future retirement home, in Spain as I normally live in Ireland, enjoying beautiful scenery, but really missing the sun in winter. I love Spain, but, in spite of my attempts, haven't been able to learn much of the language yet so really needed to be on the coast where more English is spoken.

This flat is really convenient. We had a great time, the kids really enjoyed the lovely pool and we had lots of good nights in the busy plaza nearby where there's lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. It was our first time in Los Alcazares but we'll certainly be back. J. Connell.
Comfortable and great location! Liked Los Alcázares a lot - the beaches and marine promenade are really picturesque and we were spoiled for choice with restaurants. We also ventured to Cartagena and took the tourist bus to explore the Roman amphitheatre, art nouveau buildings etc. so didn't just laze round the pool! Can really recommend this apartment for views, convenience and comfort. Looking forward to returning! Anne Manhas.

good clean property in a great location
I stayed in this property for 10 nights at the end of July 2016. It was clean and comfortable and in a fabulous location only a few minutes walk from the bars, restaurants and shops. The beach is only a 10 -15 minute walk away so there is plenty to see and do here without the need of a car.
There are 2 swimming pools on the gated complex which you can use, they are large, clean and well maintained although they do have a lot of rules which was a little annoying. many are to ensure its safe and clean and to keep pests away i.e.no food allowed etc...but some seem silly (I was told I must tie my hair up before getting in the pool, its only shoulder length!)
The apartment was good for its price, its on the top floor so great views and you can sunbathe on the roof terrace.(take into consideration all the steps to get up to the apartment though, especially in the heat!) the bed was very comfortable and the rooms were clean and well furnished. my only gripe was with the shower room. the shower was tiny and tired looking and the shower head kept sliding down to face the wall so we shared the other bathroom in the end, that's fine if there is only a couple of you but not so great if there are 4 of you!
all in all very pleased.
A very private and secluded apartment
This apartment is accurately described in a gated complex, which is pretty and very well maintained including the two pool areas. The apartment was spacious, very clean and well laid out with everything we needed. The balcony overlooks the pool and is well screened by large palms making it a private area for relaxing. We particularly enjoyed breakfast on the balcony each morning of our stay. Some of the outside furniture is worn but it did not detract from the overall appearance of the apartment. Whilst we didn't use the roof terrace it was a delightful area for those who enjoy sunbathing. During our stay in September it was quiet and relaxing, both around the apartment and the pool. Whilst the double bed was not the most comfortable we had stayed in, having mentioned this to the Agent we understand it has now been replaced. The Agent met us on arrival at the main gate and showed us around the apartment making it an easy start to a very enjoyable holiday. She was very helpful during our stay and since we returned and we consider we had good service. We would definitely recommend it to a friend or relative and have already booked to return in a few weeks time.
There were a variety of eating places in the Square within five minutes walk, but we preferred the waterfront bars and restaurants an easy ten/fifteen minutes walk away.
The location was very good. The pools were very clean and well looked after. The apartment was ok but lacking in various areas. A pot in the kitchen had a handle missing so was dangerous to use in the oven. The table and chairs on the balcony were scruffy and old and made stable by the use of a peg.. Two sunbeds on the roof terrace were broken.The table in the lounge had trim missing .iThe place just seems unloved. A lot of things need replacing such as the bed in the double bedroom .Very noisy and creaky. The managment were very lapsidasical and not organised no reply to emails etc. Late to pick keys up so we left them with taxi driver.Perhaps the owner needs to go over and sort this place out.

“I decided to buy on the Spanish Meditteranean coast as I was looking for good all year round temperatures, walking distance to a beach, a friendly atmosphere with a cosmopolitan feel, lots of facilities and good airport access. After doing a lot of research & viewings, I came across Los Alcázares and. for me, it has turned out to be my bit of paradise! I chose this apartment because it is on a very well tended gated development with lovely pools, yet walking distance to the picturesque Mar Menor sea and also to lots of restaurants and shops. This was 10 years ago and I'm still as happy with my decision now as I was then and find Los Alcázares an ideal place to relax, being very peaceful & geared to family tourism rather than charter holidays.”
Activity and Interests
The Mar Menor is less than 5 minutes walk from the apartment and offers safe bathing and sandy beaches. All the beaches in Los Alcázares have the EU Blue flag distinction for cleanliness and services. The beaches also have many play areas for children and beach cafés for adults and kids alike!
The nearest airport is Murcia which is 5 minutes drive away, although Alicante, a 50 minute drive away by motorway, is also convenient.
The historical city of Cartagena is 15 minutes drive south from Los Alcázares and offers a wide variety of cultural activities, impressive architecture and historical monuments, including an important Roman amphitheatre. There is also a busy shopping centre with innumerable shops, restaurants and tapas bars to explore. Murcia, the capital city of the region, is 30 minutes inland by car and has a water park, Nature Park and a beautiful old town centre with a magnificent Cathedral.
From the apartment, you can walk to the Mercadona plaza in less than 5 minutes and here you have a large supermarket, banks, restaurants, bars and many small shops. There is an excellent street market on both Tuesday and Saturday mornings, while for the sports minded, Los Alcazares has a sailing school with many water activities and a number of golf courses nearby.

The standard booking procedure is 20% non-refundable deposit to be paid at the time of booking, with the remainding 80% to be paid on arrival. A meet and greet service is available from Murcia airport if required at a small additional cost.
Changeover days are flexible. While departure times are normally 12 midday, and arrival 4pm. This can be adapted if there is not a same day changeover.
Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. Rentals may also be done for daily rates, with a minimum of 2 nights. Air conditioning is metered, otherwise all other costs are included in the price quoted.
