Villa in Pinar de Campoverde, Pilar de la Horadada, Costa Blanca - Sleeps 6, Close To Beaches And 5 Mins From Campoverde Golf Club

The villa is situated in a residential area, detached with 3 bedrooms and its own pool. Fully air conditioned supplying cooled air in the summer and heating in the cooler winter months. Built-in barbecue and outdoor seating area. Downstairs includes patio area, living room with dining area and fully equipped kitchen. 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom with bath & shower facilities. Upstairs is reached by an external staircase where there is a large sun terrace and the 3rd double bedroom with en suite bathroom. Pinar de Campoverde is a residential village situated 8km inland at the southern edge of the Costa Blanca on the border with the Costa Calida. It is an area of protected pine woodland surrounded by orange and lemon groves. Nearby can be found many blue flag beaches and golf courses (one only 5 mins drive) and the nature reserve of San Pedro.

From home to home

We spent 3 weeks at the villa which was going from "home to home". The house was very clean and very well equipped and very comfortable. The pool was great as it was very hot while we were there and was a fantastic way to cool off after a day at the beach.

The location of the villa is lovely with restaurants and bars nearby. We had rented a car which is necessary if you want to venture away.

We will definitely come back and would recommend this house to everyone.

Villa in the Sun

We have just spent 2 weeks in this lovely villa. Everything was as we were expecting and the villa was extremely well equipped and clean, there was nothing that we needed. We loved the pool, yes it's at the front, but it really didn't matter, we all felt very comfortable. It was actually so hot during the day, that having the pool to come back to was perfect! The next door neighbours were very helpful and informative. We arrived late at night, but found the villa very easily and it is in a very good location for visits to beaches and other towns. The restaurants are close by and there were lots of different types to try, we did use the car to get there most evenings though. Would definitely recommend this villa to others.

Great Villa and Location

We have stayed in many villas over the years, but this villa has been exceptional, it's the best equipped villa I have ever stayed in, and we felt very at home and comfortable, we didn't want to leave!, we would definitely recommend this villa to anyone considering booking, the people around we're very friendly and helpful and it's not far from the coast and easy access to everywhere, it's also great for family's , thanks for a lovely holiday!.

Wonderful Villa

Just to say that we had a really lovely time in your villa in Spain. The villa and surroundings were perfect. The villa had everything we could want in it for our stay and we quickly felt really at home. Great local Spanish restaurants and lovely beaches to walk along, not to forget the Golf Course only 2 miles away. We will be back Thanks Kathy and George

Lovely well equipped villa

Not sure what the other reviewer found to fault as we found lots of space for everything. Great location and very well equipped with everything we could need. The area is very Spanish with lots of Tapas Bars within a short drive and beaches only 10 mins away. We will come back again. Jackie and Simon

Could be better

This property has so much potential but was disappointing. The description of bedrooms 'with wardrobes' suggests that guests can use the wardrobes. We found that every wardrobe and cupboard was full of the owners' possessions. There were a few empty drawers but not enough to store clothes for the week and no hanging space. There were boxes under each bed full of 'stuff' and so nowhere to store suitcases. There wasn't a single cupboard in the kitchen that didn't have something in it from crockery to open, half eaten packets of crisps. The only empty space was the fridge. The lounge had 2 CD players (why?) and loads of CDs/DVDs that were obviously Sunday paper freebies.

As advertised, the upstairs bedroom had en-suite facilities but the bedroom and shower room were also packed with the owners' possessions. Also, we had thought that our 15 year old would sleep there but either we would have had to lock him out of the main villa or he would have had to lock us in - neither of which was acceptable. We had assumed that there would either be 2 keys to the main villa or that the key to the main villa would be the same as the 3rd upstairs bedroom. He shared the twin bedroom with his brother but at least we had a spare room in which to store our suitcases - not sure where we'd have put them otherwise.

We didn't use the bar-b-q as we'd have had to clean it first. The bathroom had toiletries on every available surface including the bath. I moved them to make room for our toiletries and then cleaned away the cobwebs. The lounge had been dusted around the residents' ornaments.

The saving grace of the week was the pool which was lovely and warm and we loved swimming in the early morning, sometime in the day and then again in the early (or even late) evening. Also, the bakery across the road was excellent for early morning fresh, hot bread.

This may seem very negative but we are not new to renting holiday properties through Owners' Direct. Usually we find that if the property is a second home, that the owners pack/lock away their own possessions so that the hirers have access to storage and can feel at home for the length of their stay.

Owner's Response: If we had wrongly described the villa, the pool was not working or we had failed to mention a night club next door and building site opposite I could understand. Your review is totally subjective, if you had valid complaints about the villa, its location or its facilities fine in basic terms you have written a bad review based on: 1. You felt there was nowhere to put your empty cases 2. 3 empty wardrobes and a total of 15 empty drawers was not enough space for your clothes for a 1 week stay 3. 3 empty double cupboards in the kitchen was not enough room for your food 4. You did not find or ask where the extra keys were located for the upstairs 5. The very well equipped villa in your view and too much in it 6. The BBQ was dirty I think its best if the other people that read this review decide for themselves !!!! Also worth reminding you that : Firstly, I was surprised at your review since you departed the villa on 14th Aug and it has taken you nearly 2 months to write it. Secondly, during your stay one of the pool lights was broken which we had to pay to get fixed. Thirdly we had to pay the cleaners extra for cleaning on your departure.

We have had our villa for 15 years now and love the area for it's climate and local charm. It can be as Spanish as you want it to be or you can find a traditional British Pub! Located in a quiet area of the village it is peaceful even in the height of summer.

Nearest Airport : Murcia at 18 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Campoverde at 1 Kilometres Nearest Golf : La Romero at 2 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : A6 at 6 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Silvios at 1 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Torre de la Horradada at 6 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Pinar de Campoverde is a small village but has a good selection of bars and resuarants only 3 mins drive from the villa. There are also a selection of other shops incl chemist, newsagents, hardware and supermarket. There is also a small cafe/bar opposite the villa.There are 2 banks in Pinar de Campoverde. The nearest large town is Pilar de la Horadada with lots of nightlife for the youngsters, a very large market on a Friday night, lots of shops bars and restaurants. The resort of Torrevieja is about 20 mins by car with its beautiful harbour and lots of nightlife. San Pedro is a very tranquil place with a large market on Monday morning’s. Many disco’s in Lo Pagan for young and lively people approx 6 miles away. Beautiful restaurant called Rabate 5 mins from Campoverde. Halcon restaurant by the Poliportivio excellent for evening meals. Lunch time pizzeria, bars, bakery and coffee shop with evening restaurants 15 minutes walk. At Cartagena a beautiful historic town try the boat trip and the tower. Mar Manor is a very calm sea for children to play in with many bars and great fish restaurants. Boat trips are available to the islands. The indoor shopping mall 'Dos Mares' is 10 mins drive from Campo Verde, it has a bowling alley, Burger King, McDonalds and nice shops, supermarket etc.

Coast/Beach:

Beaches within 5 miles approx 10 minutes drive, all being very tranquil in this region. Mar Menor with lots of bars and restaurants, large sandy play areas and calm water with gentle sloping sand for safe swimming ideal for children. The Mar Menor's water is 5 degrees warmer than the Mediterranean. Therapeutic mud baths are found alongside and are free for everyone to use. La Torre with gorgeous beaches and harbour also has many restaurants (including one with the largest tapas menu) and bars.

Travel:

Alicante airport, 55 minutes drive.

Murcia airport, 15 minutes drive.

These airports are serviced by all the main UK airports.

Car hire is available at the airports.

Distances:

Cartagena, 40 minutes drive.

Torrevieja, 20 minutes drive.

La Manga, 30 minutes drive.
