Casa Margarita sits on a prominent headland position, a front line property affording wonderful sea views and offers a relaxing, private space to soak up the sun and swim in your own private and well maintained swimming pool., The pool is not overlooked by any other property. and is approx 3 mtrs wide by 7 mtrs long. A traditional Spanish white washed villa with terracotta tiles, Casa Margarita offers clean, comfortable and well equipped accommodation.with free Wi-Fi . The main house offers accommodation for up to 4 people. The third bedroom, for 2 more people, is only opened upon request and at an additional cost. It is never rented out separately It is completely round in shape with a panoramic view of the sea. You can sit up in bed and look out over the ocean to watch the fishing boats chug by.

If you are looking to relax and soak up the sun the villa offers space to do exactly that. The child-friendly, enclosed swimming pool via a lockable gate, is exclusively yours to enjoy during your stay. A large decked area with sun loungers and shady parasols are perfect for day long sun bathing and gazing out to sea. The sun shines on the terrace from Dawn to Dusk There is an outdoor summer kitchen, plenty of seating and a traditional brick barbecue to enjoy alfresco dining. The private pool and terraces are not overlooked by neighbouring properties and the sea views are uninterrupted.

The house sits on the edge of a quiet urbanisation with a tennis court and communal pool a short distance from the villa, should you wish to use them. There is plenty of space for parking your car. The villa is accessed through an iron gate and down 5 wide steps. Casa Margarita is a short drive from the delightful small town of Salobreña and the more bustling town of Almuñécar.

There are two bedrooms within the main house (one with own toilet) and a further bedroom ( with en-suite shower room ) within the Round Room beside the pool. All bedrooms have Air-Conditioning, freshly laundered cotton sheets and plenty of towels. We also provide beach towels for use by the pool or sunbathing on the beach. There are fitted wardrobes, plenty of drawers, bedside lamps and a hair dryer in each room. All the windows are fitted with fly netting for your comfort.

The spacious living area adjoins the kitchen and dining area.There is a large rattan settee and comfortable chairs to relax on and a colour television with some UK satellite channels. There are also plenty of books, magazines and children's toys for you to borrow during your stay.

The family bathroom has a bath and separate shower enclosure, large sink and WC. The water is heated by solar panels, making use of the amazing weather! You will find everything you need in the kitchen if you wish to stay in and cook. As well as the usual appliances there is a microwave and dishwasher, separate fridge and freezer, plenty of pans, cutlery and crockery, tea towels and glassware. iron and ironing board.

If you are travelling with young children we can provide most equipment to help ease your stay. There is a Travel Cot and bedding , a High chair, plastic bowls and spoons and a small paddling pool. We welcome young guests!

Kitchen/diner opens onto the living room. A comfortable space to relax with a Rattan suite and ceiling fan. The room features a traditional Spanish corner fireplace. TV with English channels. DVD player,CD player, books, games and toy box.

Terraces have numerous comfortable sun loungers, sun umbrellas, authentic reed parasols, brick BBQ, tables and chairs.

Villa with stunning views

We had a relaxing stay at this pleasant villa which is enhanced by the large outdoor living space and stunning views of the sea and coastlines. The pool was a good size and the temperature of the water was perfect. Although there were only four of us at any given time my husband and I paid the extra for the round house which is separate from the main villa and I'm glad we did as this was the nicest room by far. The property is not overlooked and there are plenty of chairs on which you could relax. There is however, quite a bit of traffic noise from the busy road below and it was sometimes difficult to hold a conversation unless your were directly next to person to whom you were speaking. There were lots of towels for bathroom and pool use and all the beds were very comfortable. Any minor hiccups were had were dealt with as swiftly as possible. The air con is pay as you go and was cheap and very effective

My suggestions to improve this holiday let would be to provide cushions for the sun loungers and suggest that you update the main bathroom in the house which is a little tired and dated. Perhaps a small welcome pack (at least some water) could be considered. We arrived at 11.30pm after a delayed flight and an hours drive to an empty fridge. Having stayed in many private villas over the years, we have always been welcomed by water and usually a bottle of wine.

Owner's Response: The Villa is front line property, looking directly out to sea and below is the scenic coastal road for local traffic.Most traffic uses the Autovia Mediterraneo A-7 which runs from Cadiz to Barcelona and is way behind in the mountains. Sorry that the road disturbed you, no one has mentioned it before. Pleased to hear that overall you had an enjoyable holiday . Pamela

Casa Margarita

This is the third time we have stayed at Casa Margarita and have been there twice this year. We absolutely love it and fully intend to stay there again. It is relaxing, comfortable, homely and with beautiful views. You do need a car to get around but links to the airport are excellent and there are plenty of things to visit both locally and further afield.

Coast/Beach:

The coastal strip includes a number of well served beaches each with good tourist facilities - Salobrena is 5kms away and Almunecar, 6kms Both have very long strips of beach. Motril is the largest resort with all the usual shops and supermarkets. a large port. Opposite Casa Margarita, a 2 minute drive down towards the sea there is a very small secluded rustic beach. There are many other coves and bays along the coast. In nearby Nerja, there are huge underground world famous caves.

Travel:

Casa Margarita is 77km from both Malaga and Granada airports and the journey time by car takes approx 1hour.. A car would be recommended for your stay and there is parking next to the villa. A local bus service stops at the end of road (5 min walk from the villa) which will take you into nearby Almunecar, Salobrena, Motril and beyond.

5km (5 mins) from Salobrena.

7km (6 mins) from Almunecar.

15km (15 mins) from Motril.

30km (17 mins) from Nerja (Caves).

77km (1hr ) from Malaga.

77km (1hr 15mins) from Granada (Moorish ‘Alhambra Palace’).

Casa Margarita's convenient location enables you to enjoy the best of what the Costa Tropical has to offer. Salobrena is a taste of traditional Spain – 5 mins by car. Named the jewel of the Costa Tropical, visitors are impressed by this traditional white washed town and 10th century Moorish castle, which appears to cling to an imposing rocky outcrop. Its winding streets are filled with traditional Spanish Tapas bars and restaurants. There is a long large beach. In the opposite direction Almunecar is a 12 mins drive to the West. Busier than Salobrena, Almunecar offers easy access to amenities such as supermarkets, banks and pharmacies. The town hosts a popular weekly Friday market, ‘Mercadillo’, where you can find an array of items from Moroccan carpets to dried chillies. There is also a large beach with many beach restaurants. Motril 10 mins to the East, is the largest town on the Costa - a great place to explore, with plenty of shops, fish restaurants, lively tapas bars and courtyards to enjoy a coffee. The marina provides a wealth of watersports and boat excursions, including trips to Morocco. Motril is popular with golfers, those seeking watersports and nightlife. Further afield: Nerja has some of Europe's finest Caves and in Granada there is the opportunity to visit the world famous Moorish ‘Alhambra Palace’.

25% deposit required when booking, balance due 1 month prior to departure. £50 for cleaning and £100 retainer against breakages and damage, returned upon safe receipt of the keys. There is a 10% discount for stays of 2 weeks and over. Long stay economical winter rentals are negotiable by contacting the owner.

Changeover Day:
Negotiable. Arrival and departure times are flexible. Please advise if arriving after dark and I will ensure some lights are left on for you.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for up to 4 persons in the main villa per week in UK Pounds. For 6 people,there is an additional rental cost. There is a professional cleaning charge of £50 per stay and £100 returnable deposit, against breakages and damage.
Rental prices include standard use of all water and electricity ( except for the Air-Con, which is pay-as-u-go ) and also all linen and bath towels
Please note, 1 beach/pool towel is provided per person .

The private pool is totally secluded from the outside world and is entirely enclosed, with access via a lockable small gate. For discounts on late availability and long winter lets , please contact the owner. There is 10% discount on holidays of 14 nights & over. Outside: Casa Margarita's pool, decking and terrace offer seclusion for private sun bathing and relaxation. Sun loungers and parasols are provided. A large brick built BBQ in the centre of a summer outdoor kitchen means that you can enjoy alfresco cooking and dining whilst overlooking the sea.A large BBQ and utensils are provided but you will need to purchase charcoal. The private, well maintained kidney shaped swimming pool is easily accessed via a ladder with handrails. Fully paved to the edge and 6’6” at its deepest . There is a poolside shower to rinse off. The whole pool area is accessed via a lockable iron gate. A tennis court and swimming pool are situated behind the villa and can be used by villa guests. Rackets and balls are not provided. There is parking next to the villa's front gate.
