Apartment in Benalmadena, Arroyo de la Miel, Costa del Sol, Spain - South Facing, Sun From Morning Till Evening

The apartment sleeps 4 people with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, lounge and well equipped with wifi and English Tv, modern kitchen. It is south facing towards the sea with sunshine from morning till evening and a generous balcony. The apartment is on the 8th floor in a 9 floor block with 2 lifts. There is NO pool with our apartment complex. Within 5 minutes walk is the Spanish town of Arroyo de la Miel which has an abundance of restaurants/bars, shops, and supermarkets. 10 minutes away are several lovely clean beaches, with a flat promenade that can take you all the way to Malaga if you feel that energetic. The airport is only 20 minutes away on a direct train line, there are also good bus services and car hire locally which can take you to Torromolinos, Migas and Fueringirola. Nearby are the attractions of Paloma Park, Tivoli world, the mountain cable car, Selwo, the Sealife centre and the award winning Marina, one of the best on the Costa del Sol.

Lovely well maintained, very clean apartment with good size sunny balcony & great views, centrally located with supermarkets, café bars etc close by, also 10 minutes walk to beach & promenade with café bars & marina etc, 10 minutes walk to arroyo de la miel with plenty café, tapas bars & restaurants & railway links. highly recommended so much so we are returning again late summer.

My wonderful parents-in-law have owned a property here since 1985 and we loved using their apartment for holidays, but with 2 children their 1 bedroom apartment was getting a little cosy. So, in 2003 we had a good look around and bought our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. We always loved Arroyo and wanted to be near restaurants and transport links.

Activity and Interests


The Santa Ana beach is approx 10 minutes walk away with a lovely 3 mile stretch of coast line with shallow bathing.

There are rental beach beds and parasols, but the beach is free to walk on with parking nearby. There are numerous other beaches within 15 minutes walk.


The nearest train station is Arroyo de la Miel which is 10 minutes walk from the apartment and 20 minutes direct with no changes to Malaga international airport. There are direct buses to various locations right outside the apartment.


Arroyo de la Miel 5 mins walk. Pueblo 10 mins on the bus. Migas 30 mins on the bus. Torromolinos 10 mins by train or bus. Fueringirola 15 minutes by train or bus. Tivoli World 10 mins walk, Paloma Park 5 mins walk, Marina 15 mins walk, Cable car 10 mins walk, Sealife centre and Selwo 15 mins walk, Fueringirola Zoo, Water fun parks (chioce of 2) within 15 mins.

Further Details:

A good choice of supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants/bars, shops, banks, churches, post office, hospital, markets, tapas bars, children's play parks.

Booking Notes:
We require a booking deposit of £100, to confirm your booking, this is non-refundable on the event of cancellation. The total amount must be paid in full 4 weeks prior to departure. Rates quoted are for two people additional guests are charged at £25/per week each

A set of keys, a homemade map of places of interest and some suggested eateries will be sent to you once the payment has been received, together with a pre-paid envelope for you to return the keys to us on your return.
The booking deposit will then be returned once the keys have been received back.

Changeover Day:
We are always flexible and do not have a specific changeover day, we understand when booking flights you may want to take advantage of a good deal that does not fit into a 7 or 14 day holiday.

Notes on prices:
Please note, the prices are for 2 people, extra people will be charged £20.00 on the weekly rate to cover the costs of the laundry, cleaning etc.

From the Owner

We were very selective when buying, as we knew we wanted south facing, so whenever we come out from cold, wet Lancashire, we could sit and enjoy sun and warmth at whatever time of the day and year. With the children at the age they are now, we use the train to get to our apartment, so as it is within walking distance, it is ideal. Our holidays have evolved over the years, as the children have grown up, but they love planning what we are going to do. We very rarely hire a car, as there is no real need for one, as the public transport is cheap, clean and reliable, plus half the fun is relaxing into the Spanish lifestyle.

Outside: Generous balcony with reclining outdoor sun chairs. There is no pool with this apartment. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment includes fresh towels and clean bed linen. The apartment will be cleaned after your departure, extra cleaning can be arranged at an additional charge. Other: Generous hallway. We have sun parasols, various inflatables, beach bat and ball, but also umbrellas if needed!
