It's the views, we were very impressed by the way the property was designed to maximise the sea, coast and valley views. Downderry is a great village and unlike a lot of coastal villages it has a vibrant community all year around, this is not a resort village which adds to the feel of the area. Further afield lie Kingsand and Cawsand and of course a great location in this, "the forgotten corner" of Cornwall as locals name it.

Car: not necessary


Minutes from local beach at Downderry, also close to the magnificient Whitsand Bay, with 5 miles of golden sandy beaches. Minutes from the South West coast path.


Nearest airport is Plymouth, which is around 15 miles.


The property has wonderful panoramic sea views all the way to Looe Island and beyond which can be enjoyed from the balconies and elevated decking.

Fantastic sea views, you are on a south facing hillside overlooking the sea and coast. Brand new build in 2006, with particular attention paid to maximising the views, so the 2 main bedrooms upstairs have juliet balconies opening out to the sea and in the living/dining areas downstairs a set of french doors and a set of patio doors open out to the raised terrace with spectacular views.

  • Notes on accommodation: This property is ideally located for a family holiday only 300 metres from the beach, is also perfect for exploring Cornwall, whether it be the Eden project, Bodmin moor, or North Cornish coast. Outside: Driveway with garage, small well tended garden, full length bacony. Utility Room: Utility room incorporating work surface with fitted washing machine and seperate dryer underneath, also handy for coats boots etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linen included. Also a luxurious hamper provided on arrival as well as toiletries from Gilchrist and Soames. Other: Two of the bedrooms have Juliet balconies with French doors with beautiful sea views. As well as the full length balcony on the ground floor, there is also an elevated decked area fitted with oak table and chairs, lighting, perfect for alfresco dining.
