Apartment in Gran Alicant / Santa Pola, Costa Blanca South, Spain - 1st floor Apartment with Air Con and UK TV, 5 mins from Sandy Beach


Our apartment is located 15 minutes from Alicante airport but far enough away not to see or hear it. A two bedroom 1st floor apartment located on the Novamars (The posh ones) at the foot of the Gran Alicant Hill and close to arguably the best beach in the area. With a double bedroom and a twin room with additionally two put up beds in the living room sleeping 6 in total. It has a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave. UK TV, DVD, radio, books, air con included. The bathroom has bath and over shower. The apartment has a external balcony(safe for kids)over looking the pool to the side and luxurious shared garden surrounding. The pool has two plunge pools and showers (This was the show complex). Two minutes walk away is a parade of shops and restaurants. Supermarkets are a 5 minute drive away or use the frequent Gran Alicant bus. The beach is gently shelving and sandy and is great for families and is 6 miles long! Lifeguards and cafe in the summer months.

Please note there is a 45 euro flat fee for cleaning irrespective of the length of the stay payable locally.

Notes on accommodation: Ten Questions to ask 1. Is it close to the beach? A: Yes a 4 minute walk - easy access - trolley and chairs provided 2. Is the apartment at the top of the hill or bottom? A: We are at the bottom. This is important as those at the top have to get a bus or negotiate a steep hill for the beach. 3. Is the apartment inside a gated complex or on the street. A: Ours is inside a lovely private garden complex - street facing apartments can be noisy. 4. Is the apartment near the shops restaurants. A: There is a parade of shops and restaurants just around the corner -2 mins walk 5. Air condition? A: Yes and heaters , air moving fans and ceiling fans. 6. UK TV? A: Yes Full terrestial channels and some SKY ones DVD player and Ipod speakers. 7. How well equipped is the apartment? A: Fully equipped kitchen, cooker, microwave, coffee maker toaster, washing machine. Bedding & towels provided. (bring beach towels) 8: Easy Access. A: Good for a quiet break but Close to Alicante; Santa Pola, etc 9. Free WIFI? Outside: The pool is 5x15m long (see photographs) with two plunge pools. It is not heated but warm from May onwards. Utility Room: Washing machine and utility sink. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels (inside use only) provided and all bed linen provided and changed after every let. There is a 45 euro local charge for cleaning payable by all guests. Take over is 3pm, departure by 10am. Other: Large balcony overlooking gardens and pool to the side equipped with table and chairs. Beach chairs in unit. There is a gas heater and oil heaters for each room for winter us

Loved every second here!

We absolutely loved staying at this apartment. Firstly the taxi from the airport is only £20. The fantastic garden and swimming pool are looked after daily in the morning before everyone gets up. The amazing beach is only 10 mins walk with a lovely beach bar that does very good food and amazing pint of Estrella. There are lots of bars and restaurants and a shop 2 mins walk (get the surf and turf from Tres Besos – amazing, I had it 4 times while I was there). There is a land train opposite the bars to get you to the supermarkets in Gran Alacant. The apartment has everything that you could wish for – English TV, washing machines etc. The balcony was so peaceful we ate breakfast there every day. Loved this Apartment and looking to go back again in the future.

September Sun and a thunderstorm or two!

Excellent apartment with everything you need for a relaxed beach/ pool holiday, third time we have stayed here, so I think that says something!

All the areas facilities within walking distance and good range of resteraunts within minutes of apartment. The buses are frequent enough and cheap enough that my sister and I didn't feel the need to hire a car _ bus was one euro fifty each to travel to Santa Pola or Alicante and we walked to the beach within ten minutes.

If we return to Gran Alicant we will definitely return to this apartment.

This apartment is in a lovely, clean, gated complex. The pool is quiet and the gardens are beautiful. The apartment is clean, well-equipped and in a perfect position. The pool is just a few meters away and there is a great selection of bars and restaurants just around the corner, the owners of which were all very friendly and helpful. Perfect for a main holiday or a short break, as we did.

A Very Enjoyable Family Week in the Sun

Nicely tucked away in a very peaceful location.

The owner was very helpful and made the whole process very easy.

Alicante airport is only a 15 minute drive away; which makes your transfer a doddle.

A very nice apartment, which was very clean, with a telephone book sized folder, located under the television; with more helpful information than you could imagine.

The shop, bars and restaurants are only a 2 minute walk away; though are never busy or loud.

The husband and wife partnership at the Phoenix were always on hand to assist, which was great. They will help you book taxis and with local knowledge, which after 11 years living there, they have a lot.

This was our children's first trip abroad; (aged 5 & 7) and I think they now have been bitten by the travel bug - A fantastic introduction!

If you are looking for somewhere to party; this is not the place for you. This is the perfect place for those with either young families, or looking for somewhere to relax.

The apartment was clean and very well equipped. Location was great.

This was our first visit to Gran Alacant. We were very impressed, so much so we bought a property there!

The apartment is ideally placed for access to the beach and to restaurants. There is only a small mini market nearby but it has the essentials.

Overall highly recommended.

Special interest holidays:

The Santa Pola Sailing school on our beach, offers tuition in sailing, wind surfing, sail boarding, kite surfing etc. Prices etc on request. The large nature reserve with walking trails and hides is a short 10 minutes walk away. In the distance behind Alicante is a Mountain range with great walks and waterfalls and rock pools for swimming, several open to the public in summer months. The local are is great for wildlife with country parks nearby.


The blue flag winning Carabassi beach is a 5 minute walk away. It is a large sand beach with dunes. It is 6 miles long and gently shelves. There are life guards and a cafe operating in summer months. Car parking nearby for the relaxed!


Alicante airport is 15 mins away. Valencia Airport is 1 hour 30 mins away. The Madrid motorway is easily accessible 4 hour drive. Barcelona is a 4 hour drive.


Santa Pola a fishing town is 15 mins away. Alicante town is 20 mins away. The whole of the Costa Blanca is within easy reach by local roads including Benidorm 30 mins (lively), Altea 40 mins (rustic) and the theme parks of Terra Nova and Terra Natural 30 mins. There are a number of water parks and other attractions a short drive away. The small town of Los Arenales is 20min walk and has a promenade, restaurants etc.

Further Details:

Locally there are a number of restaurants and shops - a 5 minute walk away. Larger supermarkets are a 5 minute drive or accessible by the local bus or regular tourist train.
