About the property

Modern Farmhouse in Winterbourne, Nr. Bristol and Bath, England - Rural Private Location - Perfect for visting Bristol, Bath and the Cotswolds

Set within 8 acres of private grounds with a long driveway off a country lane, part of a small holding farm used for grazing of freshly calved cattle. The farmhouse is surrounded by fields and is completely separate from the farmyard. It has a south facing, private, fenced garden. The farmhouse is fully furnished, all large bedrooms with plenty of space (not over crowded with too many beds to make up numbers. Room sizes are detailed below). The farmhouse is perfect for large families or groups of friends wanting to stay away together. Unfortunately we can not accept all male groups. Easy access to the historic cities of Bristol and Bath. Avon cycle way minutes away. Ample parking for 6 vehicles. 3 pubs within walking distance, 2 of which do excellent food.

The place is fantastic,everything and more than we could have asked for.Totally separate from the farm, We shopped until we dropped in Bristol and Bath.



I have stayed in many places across Europe and have to say this was the most well-equipped and welcoming place ever. Clare made sure we were happy with everything and was on hand if there were any probs. I would absolutely recommend BH Farm to large groups wanting somewhere to chill out or explore the surrounding area or both,as we did!



We have had a lovely week at the farm. The cottage is well equipped and just like home from home. We were invited to watch the sheep being sheared and to meet the farm animals and Clare and her family were very welcoming. Our 19 month old daughter became friends with the cows, or the moos ad they were known to her, and she is still asking for them now!! Thank-you for a lovely relaxing holiday!

A fantastic weekend stay!

Just wanted to say thank you for a fantastic weekend stay at Bury Hill Farm! We were there for a hen weekend and the house seemed almost designed for that purpose. It's so pretty and the bedroom set up was ideal for our large group. All of the hens were overwhelmed by the house and commented on what a good find it was. It was spotlessly clean and had every amenity you could think of. For anything you couldn't find, the friendly owner was on hand. Clare was there when we arrived to talk us through anything we needed to know and show us how to operate things. She couldn't have been more helpful for our stay. She took delivery of a hot tub for us before our arrival and was round within a couple of minutes to lend us a Bluetooth speaker we'd forgotten to bring. It was great knowing Clare was there if we needed anything yet it still felt completely private.

The farm is ideally situated for exploring Bristol with it only being a 15 minute car journey. Clare has preferential rates with local taxi firms which came in handy.

I would happily go there on a family holiday with my young children as they would love the farm and the enclosed garden is ideal. Equally, I would highly recommend for a large group of friends or family.

Really hope I get the opportunity to visit again!

Great place to stay

We had a great time at the house. We've got two young daughters who loved seeing all the animals. The rest of our group was made up of 10 adults and the house was perfect for a group of this size, specially in the evening when you could relax in front of the fire (remember to buy logs in advance from the owners). Within walking distance there is also a lovely pub that was family friendly and did great food.

A lovely stay in the countryside. Would strongly recommend!

Amazing Christmas 2016 stay at Bury Hill Farm

My family, 11 members in total had a lovely xmas at Bury Hill Farm, we stopped 5 nights, had a wonderful time. the Farm house is in a beautiful area plenty of country walks.

The property is very comfortable lots of room, everything you need, truly a home from home.

Clare was very helpful from the day we made the booking up until the day we left, if you have a large family and would like to do something a little different at xmas time i would highly recommend Bury Hill Farm.

Has well as enjoying our time in the house we also visited Bristol city center which is 15 min drive away, nice city center plenty of shops, restaurants etc, we also managed to find many on street artist Banksy works, which is really worth doing if you like to do something different.

Cannot find a fault with our break, look forward to booking again in the future.

Perfect for a group getaway!

I stayed here over the weekend as a group of 9 friends. It was perfect! We were after a weekend get together in a location convenient for everyone and we got exactly that. Located just off the motorway so easily accessible but surrounded by countryside gives it a real peaceful feel! The owners house is right next door if you have any problems or questions but you have your own privacy with a separate entrance and space for cars.

Plenty of room for a large group and didn't feel on top of each other. Enough facilities for everyone - including cooking etc. Beds really comfy and everything catered for our needs entirely! Loved it.

Booking forms can be returned via email or post, ring or email if you are unsure. Deposit usually £250. Balance due 8 weeks before arriving. A security deposit is required 2 weeks before arrival. We treat all enquires and booking on a first come first served basis. PLEASE NOTE A BOOKING IS ONLY SECURE ONCE THE DEPOSIT HAS BEEN PAID. I WILL EMAIL TO CONFIRM RECEIPT.
