About this property

Nati's House; Venice centre, in the lively district of Cannaregio, canal view

We rent our flat in Venice for short weekly stays all year round (preferably weekly stays but we can accept a minimum stay of three days). The flat is suitable for two people . “Nati’s House” offers the comfort and the charm that could emphasize the value of your stay in this spectacular city of the world. Very well lighted, it faces with a balcony a marvellous typical Venetian canal, in a part of Venice, which still belongs to Venetians. We think this is a great value for the wise tourist. The double bed is equipped with orthopedic mattresses (we have recently replaced the old bed following clients' suggestions). The flat is completely furnished, some pieces of furniture are antique and it is located at the first floor: safe when the sea floods the streets and far from humidity of the ground floors. “Nati’s House” is waiting you just four minutes by the Alilaguna water bus stop (shuttle service from/to the airport).

Without otherwise agreed, keys are delivered directly to your contractual address by post. So at your arrival, you will already have the keys and detailed directions.

Enjoyed It . . . But

We stayed four nights in February in this pleasant flat, which is moderately priced, in the Cannaregio area with a quiet canal just below. The area is off the beaten track and quieter than the busy tourist areas, with decent local restaurants and bars, some actual Venetians living locally, and an excellent bakery and coffee shop nearby: Torrefazione Cannaregio. Two things let the property down: 1) Across the canal is a workshop (which was not particularly noisy during our stay). But if you were there in warm weather and wanted the windows open, there is a ventelation system that seems to run round the clock. NOT a problem in February, but could be a problem in warmer weather? 2) The mattress in the main bedroom. We saw before booking that others had had a problem with this and we took a chance that it wasn't too bad. I'd just say that if you like a firm bed this is probably not the place for you. The owner lists the mattress is "orthopaedic" - the problem is that there are two single mattresses (definitely not "firm") on a sprung double bed frame which doesn't have a support bar in the middle. As the mattresses do not zip or tie together, when they move one of you will end up down the gap in between! On a four day stay this wasn't a deal breaker for us, but if you happen to be a larger person or wanted to stay longer it could be decisive. To sum up: A firmer bed would help. But we did enjoy our stay there, with those drawbacks.

Great stay in Venice

Nati's house was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the small balcony looking over the canal. Paulo was very helpful with directions and access arrangements. The only slight disadvantage was the little workshop opposite, which sometimes started up quite early in the morning. But that was the only very minor inconvenience. Overall a great stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed the trip as a whole

Paolo the property owner was extremely helpful from the moment we booked. When we arrived at the airport he had sent us detailed information on the property location & suggested the best means of how to get there, which was very kind and more than welcome! Once at the property, we found it to be clean and tidy, and the size was ideal for the two of us. Although we didn't spend much time in the apartment, when we did it was perfectly fine and the balcony is a nice touch. We found the location to be perfect, a lively area with bars / restaurants and good transport points. Any noise from here never reached the apartment and we didn't get disturbed at all. I would recommend Natis' House and would happily go again

Peaceful Balcony in Canneregio

Paulo gave us great directions to the property and his communications were excellent. The apartment has a little balcony overlooking a canal for evening Spritz. It is so near to Guglie Vaporetto stop which takes you straight to the airport and other destinations and very peaceful. The amazing Spar in an old theatre is not far away for food shopping.

The whole has been dressed by my enthusiastic approach to the possibilities offered by the Internet. I aggregated around my private website a small community of guests. In some cases, true friendships started for long lasting rapports.
Since then, the rental activity, held through the web, became an important activity of mine. As freelance architect I soon acquired clients who wanted to restore or to refurbish their houses for doing the same rental activity I was managing for my own properties. The whole has been dressed by my enthusiastic approach to the possibilities offered by the Internet. I aggregated around my private website a small community of guests.
