Iannis (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps max 8)
Bedroom 1 with double bed.
Bedroom 2 with double bed and bunk beds.
Family bathroom with shower, bath, wc.
Family room house an en-suite.
Fully equipped kitchen including washing machine.
Large lounge dining room with sat TV, DVD.
Towels/linen included and changed twice per week.
Vavara and Iannis are in a quiet, secluded, location and yet only a 5 minute flat walk to approx 15 tavernas/restaurants and a sandy beachfront. A huge advantage for parents with young children is that the parents can sit at the tavernas lining the seafront whilst the children play directly in front of them on the beach. The properties have their own pools and share a beautiful secluded garden with lemon and orange trees.

About the Owner
Rachel, Steve and Laurence own these villas. Rachel deals with the bookings and is very happy to answer any questions.
Why Rachel chose Chania area
The villas are in a fantastic location, its a flat walk to the beach and there are a good number of nice tavernas/restaurants and the villas are also perfect for renting together. They are situated in a large plot with a beautiful garden.
We require a 20% holding deposit preferably by BACS and balance 10 weeks prior to departure. Please specify which villa you are interested in, Vavara or Iannis or both! Unfortunately deposits are non refundable - however should the cancellation be in the situation of a death or serious illness and we can manage to fill the dates we may be able to return some of all of the money paid.
This is flexible but Tuesdays are the main changeover days.

Fantastic location, well equipped villa
This was our second stay at Iannis and we have already booked to come back next year. The villa is in a beautiful setting, just on the edge of the village of Almyrida, set amongst olive and lemon groves with the dramatic backdrop of the White Mountains.
It is a five minute gentle stroll into the village where there is a immaculate sandy beach and numerous tavernas and bars.
The villa is very well equipped, and the welcome pack of wine and basic provisions were gratefully received.
Iannis is next to its sister villa Varvara but they have separate pools and barbecue areas.
The villa was very clean and well maintained and Anne and Richard were very helpful.
It is not often we as a family go back to the same place but we really have fallen in love with this part of Crete and are looking forward to our third visit.

Activity and Interests
The historic town of Chania is about 40 minutes drive and Heraklion 2 hours coastal drive. Crete is the largest Greek island and there is plenty to do and lots of places to visit should you wish. However, you can stay in our villas without the necessity of a car should you wish - its close enough to the beach 5 mins and about 10/15 tavernas/restaurants. Our villas have a view of the White Mountains which are stunning.
Copy the link below to view the location. The villas are the 2 pools at the bottom right of the picture. The walk to the beach at the top of the picture is about 5 minutes. Please note the secluded location of the villas. Chania airport is 40 mins drive and Heraklion a 2 hour drive. Ask should you wish us to recommend a rental company - a car is good if you are at the villas for say 2 weeks as you may wish to explore but fine without a car for say a week.
Chania 40 mins drive, Rethymnon about 40 minutes drive, Kalives the next village with a bigger supermarket than Almyrida is approximately a 15 minute drive or you can choose a coastal walk which is about 30 minutes - not recommended in the hotter months however!
Banks with ATM's in Kalives and now in Almyrida. Large supermarket in Kalives, small new supermarket in Almyrida. Richard and Anne are our English agents and they have a superb knowledge of the area/places to eat/etc and can help you when you arrive should you wish. We are also happy to recommend specific restaurants and bars when you have booked should you wish. Francois is the cafe bar which has been in Almyirda for the longest period of time and its certainly recommended for any time but particularly fantastic choice of breakfasts including pancakes with various fillings for children! Fab English breakfast too should you fancy it - but be prepared for a bit of a wait as everything comes fresh and its v popular! Wi-Fi wil be available at the villas from 1 June 2013. It is also available at a number of the bars/tavernas 5 mins down the road.

- Notes on accommodation: The villa is in a quiet, secluded, location and yet so near to the village of Almyrida with its shops, bars and beach. There is a wild garden with lemon and olive trees at the front of the property. The pools are 3 by 6 metres. Please try to shower before using the pools. Outside: The villa sits in a large beautiful plot which of course includes the pools but also a wild private garden at the front of the property which has lemon and olive trees. You are welcome to pick your own lemon! Please be careful on the patio area which does inevitably become wet by the pool - do not run and exercise caution. There is outside furniture and a BBQ.
