A cosy contemporary cottage in a lovely village

  • 5 of 5

A lovely location and a beautiful cottage. Walks from the doorstep and the Cotswold attractions within a short drive. We appreciated the warm welcome and the locally made cakes were delicious. We look forward to coming back.

The perfect house and location to enjoy al that the Cotswolds and South West has to offer!

  • 5 of 5

Visited Wishbone for a week in October. Couldn’t have timed it better as the weather was perfect so we were able to get out and enjoy the local area including Burford, Stow on the Wold, The Cotswolds Water Park and some of the great local gastro pubs, including The Swan at Southrop, The Five Alls at Filkins, The New Inn at Coln and of course the newly refurbished Bull Inn at Fairford, which is fantastic. The house has all that you need to enjoy a relaxing and cozy break in clean, comfortable and contemporary surroundings. I would highly recommend Wishbone. Thank you for another great week Karen! X

Exceeded all of our expectations!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage and the garden were very nice with lots of character combined with modern convenience. We found it even better than the pictures and description implied. The small village of Fairford was also a nice surprise. Within a 5 minute walk from the cottage are some very good casual restaurants. Our favorite was The Bull (gastro pub) (Double Glouster Twice Baked Chesse Soufle!). The Italian restaurant and the bakery were also very good. It is a good location for exploring the Cotswolds. Our favorite day trips included Blenheim Palace, Stratford Upon Avon (including a boat trip on the Avon), Sudley Castle, the Costwold Falconry (dont miss this one), the Roman Villa Ruins, and Bibury, but there are many others that we enjoyed as well. For a tip, the roads are very narrow so be prepared for it to take longer than you expect. However the countryside is really beautiful so take your time, keep your camera ready and enjoy the views! Sat Nav is highly recomended.

A great holiday we'll never forget

  • 5 of 5

Wishbone Cottage is very beautiful! Well furnished, everything is made with love. The contacts with the owner, Karen, were ever so nice and friendly. Everything was even better then discribed! We are sad, that we've been often out for the day so that we didn't used the house so much we should have done. It's a place to feel good, to relax and recover.

We are sure we'll come back some day.

A lovely and very complete holiday home.

  • 4 of 5

We, a family with two young girls, had a fantastic holiday in Wishbone Cottage. We were welcomed with flowers and everything was ready for us. It was very comfortable for the four of us, with two beds, a cot for our little one and a kitchen with everything we needed. Karen was an excellent host. We sure hope to return some day!
