Wits End is situated in a quiet part of Kapparis just off Kennedy Avenue which boasts excellent restaurants, cocktail bars, pubs and shops. The well appointed villa has a private pool. Nearest beach is just 200m away at Firemans Beach with clear blue waters. A purpose built and tiled barbecue compliments superb al fresco dining. `Wits` End` is an ideal base for a fabulous holiday with facilities and beaches right on your doorstep.

A fenced and gated area has been installed in readiness for 2016 season separating the swimming pool area from the remaining outside space for added child security. We have further upgraded the pool with a ceramic tiling trim in readiness for 2016 season.

About the Owner

We have lived, worked and raised our children in Lowestoft, England. However we were both born in the north of England. I am a electrician and Elaine, my wife, works for a marketing co. We also run a small property letting business in the UK. However the intention of buying our villa in Cyprus was for our own personal use and of family and friends. We have not purchased our villa looking to make a profit out of holiday rentals, but rather have concentrated on making our villa a place we enjoy with a 'wow' factor. We offer a villa in which to relax in a very luxurious setting. No expense has been spared. We have fitted quality furnishings and developed the most important and most used (in sunny Cyprus) extended external space to best advantage. After all it is where we choose to holiday!

We had a brilliant stay and really were very impressed with the accommodation. We really liked the Kapparis resort and found all the bars and restaurants very good-thanks for being so helpful when we booked Annie and party.

We had a lovely time at Wits End and we would highly recommend it to friends and family. We will probably be wanting to hire it again next year Mandy and party.

Your house is beautiful-it was spotless when we arrived-the villa had everything we needed. We had a lovely time and would love to return Kylie April 10.

We bought Wits End because of its superb location between the main Kennedy Avenue, with its array of excellent restaurants, bars, cocktail bars, internet cafe and supermarkets, and the superb sandy beach at Firemans Beach with crystal clear waters. A further attraction of Wits End is due to it being situated at the far corner of Kapparis Ave away from any main road noise, with sea views on an extended corner plot. The larger than average plot has given us the opportunity to add a pergola to sea side of villa and to the front terrace. Outside space is very important as majority of time spent at villa is by the pool, playing games and relaxing and 'our villa' offers all this with room to spare. The average plots do not have enjoyment of such large areas of o/s space as offered at Wits End.

Coast/Beach:

A leisurely 3 minute stroll takes you down to Firemans Beach whilst Skoutari Beach with the adjacent Malama Hotel offers local water sports and access to the hotel facilities. A coastal path runs between the 2 beaches boasting a number of secluded bays along the way. Within a 15 minute drive you will find the famous Fig Tree Bay with long sandy beaches, water sports, the delightful Konnos Bay at Cape Greco with Water World and the fabulous Nissi Beach at Ayia Napa.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Larnaca which is approximately 40 minutes by car and Wits` End is very easy to find with clear instructions available on booking. Car hire is a good option to allow flexibility and to explore all the island has to offer, but is not essential. Taxis are available at the airport. Pathos airport is a further option and is a 2 hour drive on excellent main roads.

Distances:

A number of excellent restaurants including Faliros, Just Italian, and the newly opened Folio and many more eateries are on the doorstep. Bars range from pubs like Kennedy Bar, with sports coverage to more sophisticated venues such as Mello cocktail Bar and the newly opened Divino operated by Faliros. All approximately 5 minutes walk away. Supermarkets and a local bakery are also to be found on the main thoroughfare. A 24 hour bakery/ supermarket is situated in Paralimni for late arrivers.

Further Details:

The administrative centre of Paralimni is just 2km away offering a blend of old and new with great places to eat, whilst the more vibrant Protaras and Pernera providing marvelous family and evening entertainment are 10 minutes drive away. Ayia Napa with lovely white sandy beaches, renowned nightlife, marina and Water World coupled with amazing coastal sights is just 15 minutes away by car.

Kapparis is an all year round family friendly resort with good tavernas, restaurants, bars and local supermarkets within walking distance. Faliros restaurant offers mouth-watering memorable meals with an authentic Greek appeal, a superb Italian restaurant, Greek tavernas, pubs and an internet cafe. Next door to Kapparis you will find AyianTriada and the Famagusta District Sailing Club with catamarans, lasers and windsurfing available. Scuba diving, catamaran cruises, snorkeling, cycling and walking along the exhilarating coast is a further consideration. The neighbouring Moonshine Ranch offers horse riding. Paralimni provides 3 large supermarkets, a beautiful main square with superb water fountain so you can sit and watch the world go by. Paralimni is a great mix of old and new and ideal for an early evening rink and meal out. The family Kebab House is well worth a visit to sample the local dish `Stefado`. 3 churches and an amphitheatre are to be found providing historic interest. The town also offers a post office and is the main local banking area.

Protaras with the famous Fig Tree Bay offers many water sports activities, mini golf, a sea aquarium and Eden Square with a truly cosmopolitan mix of restaurants and live music depending upon the time of year). Many bars and shops occupy the main thoroughfare adding to the flavour of the resort. The lively resort of Ayia Napa is a 15 minute car drive away with a beautiful harbour and plenty of nightlife for he young and young at heart. A family day out at Ayia Napa`s Water World Park is a must with plenty of fun and activity for

Our villa occupies a fantastic corner location with open farmland to two sides, is not overlooked, is removed from any traffic noise and has lovely sea views. As our villa is for our own personal use we have furnished the villa to a very high standard inside and out and have added an ipod/mp3 docking station, a Wii console and games, a 'safe' for passports storage and other valuables. Our villa is located between the beach and main Kennedy Avenue with plays host to excellent restaurants, cocktail bars, bars, bakery, supermarkets and internet cafe. All between a 3 to 5 minute walk away. Unlike other resorts such as Protaras and Penera, which become like ghost towns in the winter months, Kapparis is a year round resort and the benefit of almost year round sunshine decided our purchase. A fenced and gated area has been fitted for added child security separating the swimming pool from the remaining outside space. A ceramic tile trim has been added to the swimming pool in readiness for 2016 season.

  • Notes on accommodation: Reasonable use of Air Conditioning is included in the cost of your holiday. Quality bed linen, light weight duvets, bath sheets, bath towels and hand towels and sensible use of the air-conditioning are included, however we ask you to provide your own beach towels for outside use. Blankets are available for cooler nights. Extra service in the form of a mid-stay bedding & linen change can be arranged at an additional charge. Please inquire when booking. Our villa is suitable for couples, sharing couples, families with mature and younger children. Complimentary use of travel cot and highchair for infants is available. We have added for 2010 season a Wii console, sports and resort sports. Also an ipod/mp3 docking station. A security safe for valuable is provided. Sorry smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the villa and no pets are allowed. Only those guests specified on the booking form are permitted to stay at the villa. You are responsible for your own travel insurance. Outside: Private pool (no lifeguard so you are responsible for your own safety and for supervising children at all times). Wits' End benefits from a corner location and the private external space is far larger than average. The front terrace provides some shade in the heat of the day and the pergola running along the sea side of the villa provides further shade and benefits from outside rattan style lounge furniture allowing the inside and outside space to flow and maximize the use of all available living areas. The rear of the villa offers continual all day long sunshine for those sun worshippers. A swim or dip is a most welcome means of keeping cool in the warm and sunny climate. A purpose built BBQ compliments alfresco dining. The garden is planted with shrubs, indigenous plants and a orange and lemon tree. The villa has a driveway and is abutted on 2 sides by farm land and is therefore mostly not overlooked with open views to the sea from the garden areas, 1st floor balcony and windows. Utility Room: Utility Space- housing chrome effect washing machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Our villa is cleaned to a very high standard prior to your stay. Quality towels, linen and reasonable use of air-conditioning is included. A mid stay clean and linen change is available at an extra charge. Please provide your own beach towels. Other: Villa has been re-decorated throughout in readiness for 2013 holiday season. A/C to all rooms but extra ceiling fan lights installed Nov. 2012 to bedrooms to ensure night temperatures are reduced as low as possible during the heat of the summer. Wifi.
