A large, luxury, very comfortable and well appointed 3 bedroomed, ground floor apartment with a private patio and direct access to a shared pool. The apartment is decorated and furnished in the traditional farmhouse style. The apartment is one of only 6 in a private development with a shared pool. It’s in a quiet street, but there is an excellent, well-stocked, local supermarket two doors down from us. The Gozo craft village is 100 metres away and the Azure window, a World Heritage site, is only a 5 minute drive. There are excellent local restaurants within walking distance.

We live a few miles north of London, in the countryside, with our two children. We both work, and having a second home in a place we love gives us somewhere to escape for a few short weeks each year. We'd love to be there more often, but are unfortunately restricted by economics, school terms and the like.

Lovely spacious apartment

This apartment is very spacious, tastefully decorated and well equipped. Everything you could need is provided and any the owners are very quick and helpful with any assistance you may need. I look forward to booking this apartment again in the future.

A real home from home with very helpful owners

A fantastic apartment that caters for all needs. Great location, only a few minutes drive to Victoria which is the hub for all roads leading out to different parts of Gozo. Easy to park outside the apartment and short walk into Gharb and facilities close by with well stocked supermarket 2 doors down.

Swimming pool good size for kids to play in and kept nice and clean. Outdoor furniture adds to apartment.

Apartment has everything you need to enjoy your stay especially for families with board games and consoles. The apartment even provides items you wouldnt expect like dishwasher tablets.

Well laid out living and sleeping areas and water pressure excellent even with 3 showers on the go at the same time. Everything in good working order.

Owners are fantastic with help and advice on things such as good restaurants and responding quickly to questions.

An apartment that I would definitely consider again!

A fabulous stay in a gorgeous apartment

We stayed in this gorgeous and tastefully decorated apartment for a week in August '13. We are a family of four with two young children and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is probably the best holiday we have ever had, thanks to Rory and Monique's beautiful home and their fabulous and courteous service. Rory was always ready to answer my zillion questions via email and was very prompt in his responses. The apartment was also extremely well-equipped, the shared swimming pool was perfect and it's such great value for money. Monique and Rory could not have been more organised or hospitable and their manual with instructions on information regarding the apartment, places to visit, things to do, etc... was very concise and clear. Thank you again for our fabulous holiday. We've such warm memories of Gozo and we will certainly be back in the future.

We have been visiting Gozo since the late 1980s. It has been the scene of many developments in our life; my wife and I had our first ever holiday together on Gozo, we got engaged there, honeymooned there and have been taking our children there for many years. Given our affinity for the island, when the opportunity arose to purchase a second home here, we jumped at it! We love being able to visit at any time of the year. Something few people realise is just how beautiful and peaceful Gozo is during other months of the year. As well as being a world-famous diving destination, Gozo is also a culinary jewel, with dozens of excellent restaurants - check out some of the reviews on TripAdvisor.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Malta International Airport, Luqa. MLA at 27 Miles Nearest Barpub : Rangers Bar at 650 Metres Nearest Ferry : Mġarr at 6 Miles Nearest Restaurant : Jeffrey's at 200 Metres Nearest Beach : Dwejra, Inland Sea at 1.6 Miles

Special interest holidays:

Gozo is renowned as a diving resort. It is especially known for wreck dives. There are a number of excellent dive locations around the island and many very reputable and long established dive companies.

Coast/Beach:

There are a number of beaches on the island. Gozo is small, so anywhere is reachable in a maximum of 15 minutes (drive) from the apartment. The nearest beach, at the famous Azure Window, is 5 minutes drive. There are three sandy beaches on Gozo, and 7 or 8 rocky/shingle beaches.

Travel:

A number of airlines fly to Luqa airport in Malta. From there, we can arrange transfers – you are picked up at the airport, and driven to the Gozo ferry (35 mins). The ferry crossing takes 15 minutes. Then it is 10 minutes to the apartment, the driver taking you all the way. Alternatively, you can hire a car at the airport and drive yourself. There are also buses from the airport to the ferry and, on Gozo, from the ferry to most villages. Finally, there are a number of taxis available, as well.

Distances:

Gharb, San Lawrenz: 1-3 minutes walk.

Victoria: 5 minute drive.

Marsalforn: 10 minute drive.

Further Details:

There is an excellent and well stocked supermarket two doors away from us. Gozo has plenty of cultural and historic sites which are well worth visiting. And there are a surprising number of excellent but reasonable restaurants all over the island.

Booking Notes:
We ask for a £150 deposit to secure the booking. The balance is payable 8 weeks before the rental date. In addition to the rental, there is a refundable breakages deposit of £100. This is payable with the balance. After your stay, our local maintenance people will advise us if there are any damages or breakages. If there are any deductions, these are agreed with you and deducted from the deposit. The amount is refunded to you upon return of the keys to the apartment.

This is generally flexible.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. If you prefer to pay in Euros, these prices will be converted to Euro at the current rate, at time of booking. Payment in other currencies can be discussed.

Having a large apartment means we can all have our own space when we want to relax, while retaining the flexibility of having friends come and stay with us while we're there. Direct access to the pool was essential. And it's incredibly convenient having a supermarket two doors down from us. Finally, Dwejra, with the Azure Window and the Inland Sea, is just a short drive from the apartment, and is one of my favourite places on the planet.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: Not suitable for very young children (from walking age to under 3 years old), as there is a staircase leading from the patio to the pool that could be difficult for a small child to negotiate. There is plenty of space in the apartment to add a camp-bed or cot into one of the twin bedrooms, if this is required. Outside: There is a private patio area with a table and four chairs. This has a small staircase (6 steps) leading to the pool area. There are two sun loungers belonging to the apartment that can be placed in the pool area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided and beds made up prior to your stay. As standard, the property is cleaned prior to arrival and weekly thereafter. Additional cleaning and services are available by arrangement for reasonable additional fees. Other: A large entrance hall houses a desk for your PC. It also contains extensive information about Gozo. In the long hallway leading off this is a cupboard stocking a large selection of books, boxed games, pens and paper - everything for your convenience!
