Villa in El Pinar, Bedar, Near Mojacar, Almeria, Spain - Quiet Location, Broadband WiFi, Top Quality Private Villa

Villa Regann is our private villa in over half an acre plot and recently totally refurbished. We have owned it for over 14 years and, finally, we have got the place well sorted!!

It has its own solar heated 9x4m pool with private sunbathing areas, uninterrupted panoramic views over mountains, valley and sea, equipped to be home from home. Outside there are sun terraces front, side and rear and a mobile gas barbecue. Daytime breezes mean fewer bugs. There is ample space for sunbathing as well as shaded areas to escape from too much sun. It is ideal for outside living - even a drinks fridge in the changing room. Recent improvements include wireless broadband, central heating, double glazing, solar hot water, new water softening, security and much more. You have the use of DVDs, videos, CDs, books and maps etc. Due to the quality of the villa and its fittings - we limit villa occupancy to 4 or 5 and sadly, no children for 2017 too old to deal with the issues.

About The Owner

We're now proud owners of our bus passes and live in the Isle of Man. I had been visiting the island for many, many years (for the motorbike racing) and, when my wife visited in 2001, she fell in love with the independent lifestyle, the peace & views and so we moved from our Oxfordshire home. Now she is a local Commissioner and I still have some business interests and old motorbikes to keep me occupied. We don't have to rent the villa but all of our work would be wasted if it was simply locked up and it helps to pay the bills and allows us to spend (even more!!) on the place.

The Owner purchased this villa in 1999

Why The Owner chose Mojacar area

We stayed as friends of the previous owner (250cc World Champ in 1970) in 1996 & 1997 and loved the location - such wonderful views and peace.

We were able to buy in 1999 and have spent quite a lot to enlarge and update the place.

Within a few miles we have miles of sandy beaches with so many restaurants that we can never visit them all.

But we also enjoy the hill villages and their Spanish character - they also cater for the non Spanish visitor. It's the warmest, driest area of Spain and driving is easy as the roads are not crowded.

What makes this villa unique

We love the privacy and the quiet. We have 2 or 3 holidays at the villa each year.

We like a warm pool - our solar heating works! We have wireless Internet to see what we are missing elsewhere in the world.

And with 2 'Lounges' - one can escape the TV and 'The Archers' and have peace and quiet.

Nature watching? We have seen tortoises, ibex, hoopoes, red kites and the bunnies - all from our patios.

The neighbouring villas are mostly British owned and the friendly, local Bar is English run - with Spanish measures!

I'm now going out onto the patio now to lay back and watch the stars, there is minimal ambient light at night.

Notes on accommodation: A car is essential - we supply directions to the villa and to meet the folks who look after the place. Full gas central heating plus a wood burning fire in the lounge- only needed in the winter months. We also supply an 8 page Villa & Local Information booklet to ensure that you have a perfect holiday from Day 1. Outside: There are 3 sunbathing terraces to follow the sun around the sky. Plenty of sunbeds and chairs plus shaded areas and umbrellas. 2 large tables for al fresco eating and a new gas BBQ. The 9m x 4m solar heated pool is 120cm (almost 4’) deep at the shallow end and nearly 160cm at the deep end. It is very private. Outside the 1/2 acre garden is steep & campo in nature. And what about the fabulous views from Villa Regann? The Cartagena peninsular is about 100km away – but it's a winter's day that the view will free from haze. Or Aguilas 40km distance – not that it has much to see. Maybe use the binoculars to see 20km to Vera Playa but, as with any distant view – it is all too far away. We prefer our views to the immediate coastline at Garrucha, the harbour and Mojacar Playa. But the best view of all is the 10km to the rolling hills of the Sierra Cabrera with the houses on the hillside, the hill villages and the beautiful evening shadows – all whilst sipping a G&T on the side patio!!! Utility Room: Utility/storeroom with washing machine, drinks fridge/freezer and sink. Comfortable recliner chairs for the patios. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels & all linen are included. No maid service but the price includes a fridge starter pack of bread, milk, tea, coffee, spread, eggs, bacon, beer, Cava etc, & all cleaning, washing and ironing after your stay. Cot & High Chair available on request. Other: Large breakfast room that dines 6, twin sofas and with patio doors to the pool area. Portable MP3 (USB/SD) player with CDs for hours of background music. Nicely equipped for elegant dining inside or outside.

Excellent villa with stunning views

This is the third winter we spend in this villa and we hope to be back another time again. We really feel at home here.

The well-equipped and comfortable house is spotlessly clean and well-maintained and it corresponds perfectly to the listing description. The location in a small village on a hilltop overlooking the sea and the mountains is fantastic.

It is far away from the madding crowd, but near enough to civilization. There dwells a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the villa, including plenty of bedlinen, towels, sunchairs, good music, books, a lot of useful information about the house and the area as well as suggestions for different activities and places worth visiting. The owners and the persons who look after the villa take care about us as if we were old friends. We are impressed and amazed by noticing how much feeling and effort our hosts have been investing in making life here an enjoyable experience for their guests.

We would highly recommend this villa to anyone who likes long walks in the hills or along the beach, to anyone who appreciates the tranquility of the night illuminated only by the shine of the stars and the moon and to anyone who wants a peaceful holiday in a cozy house in this incredibly sunny climate. Thank you for everything!
