About the Owner

My husband and I bought our appt eight years ago, we fell in love with Fuerteventura sixteen years ago when we went on holiday. We visited the other islands before deciding to buy there, the reason being that Fuerteventura has not become to commercialised, the scenery and weather is lovely and there are lots of things to do if you want or you can just relax. We are very close to the beach and the golf courses are 2 minutes away in the car. The people on the complex are very friendly and are ex pats living there and Spanish residents there are also resident pets, ie a few dogs and cats. The pool bar serves excellent food at very good prices. The swimming pool also has walk in steps which makes access easier.

Las Lomas 2 bedroom apartment. Great 2 week stay !

This was our first trip booked through a site such as owners direct, we had always booked via an agent or with established hotels and aparthotels. I must say that the whole process was absolutely seamless, with the owner Colleen being extremely helpful and informative, and the booking was made effortlessly.

The apartment is set on a complex which is mainly residential. As with most of the complexes in Caleta, none of the buildings are more than two storey so there are no high rise monstrosities ! The complex , Las Lomas is very well maintained by the residents and is extremely clean and tidy. Because most of the apartments are residential there is a really quiet laid back atmosphere, with only a handful of the apartments being rented out to holiday makers. There are two swimming pools, one within about 30 meters of the apartment and one a little further away which we had sole use of on the days we went there. The closest pool was great for my two kids who would stay in the water 24/7 if they could. It was so close to the apartment and the pool bar, "Tommy nutters" was also great for a lunchtime snack and beer !

The apartment itself was also everything we wanted for a comfortable stay. The kitchen has everything you need, the washing machine was a real bonus. The two bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of storage, and a safe which was again a bonus. The living room leads out to a lovely tiled patio with a table and chairs, great for having breakfast or an afternoon beer, and the local residents are really friendly and always stopping for a chat.

The complex is about a 5 - 10 minute walk into the town with mostly family friendly bars and restaurants, and shops to be dragged around, with the beach just a little further on. This made it just right as it keeps you slightly further away from the broncemar and other noisier resort hotels and lets you walk off the massive dinner you just ate !

Me and my family had a great two weeks at this apartment and complex. It really is chilled out with a safe and friendly atmosphere. My kids loved the pool and "Tommy nutters". If we return to Caleta again, which we definitely will, we would book here, comfortable accommodation at a really affordable price. A great stay !

Location

From the Owner

The reason for buying our apt in this location because we are so close to everything, but not in the centre of town. We are very close to the bus stop, and taxi service. When walking from our appt we can see the sea in front and the mountains behind us. We also have our own allocated parking space so we can park right outside our back door, easy for when we have been shopping. If you have the energy to walk up the hill behind our appt the views over Caleta are fantastic. The town is a five minute walk away and a further five minute walk to the beach. There is a shopping centre with various shops, a supermarket, bowling alley and amusements and various places to stop for something to eat or drink, this is a fifteen minute walk or a couple of minutes in the car and is well worth a visit.

15 mins drive from Rosario airport. Airport pick up can be arranged.

The benefits of staying in our apt are you have all appliances to make your stay more comfortable, no need to think about hiring a fan or a kettle. We have English TV showing channels 1 2 3 4 5 and a film channel. The appt has a new patio laid in march 2011. The pool has been revamped in April 2011 with roman steps for easier access and is next to a well stocked pool bar. The neighbours are quiet and friendly. There are different nationalities living on the complex with extensive knowledge of the area and if they don't know the answer to a question I am sure they will know somebody who does.We have been lucky enough to have the same guests returning each year. We can also arrange cot hire at a small cost and also have a contact should you wish to hire disability scooters.
