Villa in Odiaxere, Lagos, Western Algarve, Portugal - Peaceful Location 20 Min Walk To Beach

This property is approx 45-50 mins from faro airport and within a short distance of the bustling town of Lagos and Pria de Luz. Pria da Rocha and Alvor is only approx. 15 mins drive. There are also a number of top golf courses in the area. It is completely secure with electric gates, intercom fencing all around and steel shutters on all windows and patio doors. There is a large orchard on the property which has 6 different varieties of oranges. Also black and green grapes (depending on time of year) we also have figs, pears, lemons and limes so should be no problem getting your 5 a day. Large covered outside barbeque area. This is a very quiet area just the place to unwind and relax with no late night disturbances. The Monchique Mountains are only a short car journey away and have some beautiful restaurants with views overlooking the Algarve. The new race track is only about 20 mins away. Also available for long term rental.

Outside: Outside the property are large mature well kept gardens with lots of exotic flowers and shrubs. There is also an orchard with lots of different fruit depending on time of year. The front of the property has a balcony overlooking the Monchique Mountains with outdoor table and chairs. There are sunbeds available to use at full size private swimming pool which lights up at night even underwater. There is also a sun terrace which is on an upper level with steps. Outside barbeque area which is covered, with bread making oven. Outdoor clothes line. Car port and garage. Utility Room: Contains an iron, ironing board and washing machine. This room is Priviate but should you wish to use the washing machine etc. The housekeeper will be very happy to assist you. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and all linen included in price. Beds will be changed once a week and towels twice weekly. There will be maid service twice weekly to do basic cleaning. This does not include washing dishes. Other: Dining room with dining table and chairs. Fire place and wall unit.

This Villa is set in gorgeous grounds in a nice, quiet location between Lagos and Portimao. It's spacious, well maintained and had everything we required for a nice relaxing sunny getaway.

Great property in a great location

An idilic location with easy access to Lagos and beyond to the west coast. A spacious villa in a beautiful setting - the Monchique hills providing a wonderful backdrop. The gardens are magnificent - although sadly the fruit trees were not ready for harvesting during our stay, and the large pool is everything an extended family could wish for. Bedrooms all of a good size and a large kitchen with everything the home cook would ever need.

Excellent local restaurants and Casa Chico Ze not to be missed (on the road out of Odiaxere towards Lagos on the left hand side), clearly a favourite of the local Portuguese. Go early or you will have a long wait. The food is of the highest quality, the service top class and exceptional value. Lagos, perhaps the most interesting town/city on the Algarve, which has been sensitively developed over the years, remains a firm favourite of our family. Also a golfers paradise - Palmares one of the best courses in the south of Portugal.

All in all, a lovely villa, ideal for a large family and in a relaxed setting. Highly recommended.

Bien pero se le podría sacar más partido y no me han devuelto la fianza

La casa es muy grande y amplia y el jardín esta muy bien, pero cuando llegamos no había gas y el horno y el lavavajillas jamás funcionaron. Además habia otros desperfectos, como grietas en el baño y fugas en un bidé y algunos detalles más que indican falta de mantemiento. IMPORTANTE DESPUES DE 6 MESES NO ME HAN DEVUELTO LA FIANZA

Car: necessary


Praia Mira beach would take approx 25-30 mins to walk to / 10 mins by car. Dona Anna beach in Lagos approx 15 mins by car. All beaches in locality are all within driving distance of approx 10-20 mins.


Faro airport is about 80km from villa so transport would be essential. It takes about 45-55 mins.


Nearest village 1.6km. Nearest large supermarket 3km. Nearest large town Lagos 3km a busy little town combining the old with the new. From the marina you can take a boat trip to the caves or around the Algarve. Also visit the zoo just 20 mins away. Great restaurants and bars.

A non refundable deposit of 30% will be required when booking, all monies to be sent by bank transfer or cheque and balance will be due 8 weeks before arrival at villa. A £200 refundable damage deposit also required.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible. All guests are required to vacate property by 12.pm

100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
