Mallorcan traditional villa situated in the heart of the Pollensa countryside. Located in a very quiet area near the Golf Club Pollensa and from approximately 3 km distance from the Old Town. The house, built in two levels comprises 3 double bedrooms and two complete bathrooms and it has space enough for 6 people. All the bedrooms are air-conditioned. As well we find a modern fully equipped kitchen including diswasher, microwave, vitroceramic cook top, electric oven and all necessary appliances. Inside kitchen there is a dinning area with table and chairs. Good size lounge room with fireplace, a comfortable sofa and satellite TV. Outside the house there is a nice covered terrace with outside furniture ideal for enjoy alfresco meals in in summer time. Barbecue area. The villa features a stunning infinity pool which is set amongst established gardens where you can enjoy views of the surrounding countryside.

About the Owner

The villa is about 5km from Pollensa. Its located in a very silent and peaceful area surrounded by fields, trees and nature. The only noise you can hear comes from birds, sheep bells and the cockcrow when you wake up in the morning. The pool and the garden are located in a very sunny area during all day. There is a BBQ area located by the pool where you can enjoy ‘al fresco’ meals. We offer you 100% ecologic fruits, eggs and vegetables. These products are provided by the fields and animals that surround the property.

Our family inherit this property long time ago. It was just a plot of land with a very small and old house. Years later, our father ‘Guillem’ built Villa Reynes step by step with his own hands. The small house that we knew in the past became a beautiful and lovely home.

We booked this property at the very last minute. Joana was very helpful and accommodating. The property was exactly as described and suited us perfectly. My wife is in a wheelchair. Our family came across this jewel of a villa in 2009, returned in 2010 and are already booked to go back again this year. The villa is in a peaceful location and the Reynes family do everything possible to ensure you feel welcome. The villa is extremely well maintained and equipped, with beautiful outdoor areas and a fantastic infinity pool. We can't wait to get back to Villa Reynes this year!! Mr Stevenson 08-2010

Location

We didn´t buy the property. As I explained before, my father inherited the property from his parents. For this reason, we love the finca very much because it is a place with lots of memories, stage events. It has been a place where my sister and myself grown up and played with cousins and friends. And also it has been a place where we have shared a very nice moments with other members of the family and friends. Now, our children, enjoyed the place and they really like to go and spend a day in the finca playing, swimming in the pool, running on the fields...and going for a walk in the area. There is some animals around like horses, sheep, chickens and the children really enjoy to view and feed them.

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

Pollensa Old Town, a few kilometres inland is set against the dramatic backdrop of the Tramuntana Mountains. The town has narrow, cobbled street, pretty squares and ancient architecture and seems a world away from the more modern tourist areas. Plaza Mayor, the main square, has a Sunday morning market where you can buy souvenir handicrafts or fresh local products such as cheese, olives and mediterranean vegetables to sample at lunch or on the barbecue.

Coast/Beach:

Nearest beach is Puerto Pollensa and Cala San Vicente (7 min drive). There is also an excellent beach at Alcudia (15 min drive) and further along the North side of the island.

Travel:

Distance from Airport 50km about 40 minutes drive by car.

A car can be provided to you under demand.

Distances:

Pollensa is a 45 minute drive from Palma Airport. Puerto Pollensa is just 7 minutes by car. Cala San Vicente is 10 minutes by car. The bay, old town and port of Alcudia are 15 minutes away by car. Sa Pobla, is about 7 minutes by car and has train access into central Palma where a further train can take you to Soller on the famous narrow gauge railway line through the citrus groves. The caves at Campanet are a 'must see' and are about 15 minutes from the villa.

Further Details:

The picturesque countryside around Pollensa is a colourful mixture of fertile fruit orchards and lightly wooded glades, bordered by hills to the south and dramatic rocky outcrops of Mallorca's northern mountains. Contained within 10 square kilometres, the region stretches along the coast to Alcudia from the golden beaches of Puerto Pollensa and inland to the quaint, historic small town of Pollensa itself. To the north the shores of Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia are fringed with kilometres of golden sand with water sports and ideal sun bathing for the more relaxing holiday. Both Puerto Pollensa and Pollensa offer a good selection of restaurants, ranging from cafes and tapas bars to fine dining. Pollensa, apart from its pretty square has the Via Crucis which is a notable attraction with its long stairway which ascends Calvary Hill, from which there are superb views over the coast. Puerto Pollensa is a pretty, unaffected resort that is a firm favourite with families. Sundays it is a market in Pollensa in the main square, where you can find 'from products of land or fruits till a scissors'.

Alcudia and Puerto Alcudia (only 15 minutes driving). The town of Alcudia and the compact port of Alcudia are situated on the neck of one of Mallorca's northern peninsulas. Many visit Alcudia for the beach alone, 11kms of curving white sand that shelves gently into the sea, there are many beachside cafés and restaurants, and a great variety of water sports. There are many other local activities to keep you occupied including horse riding and golf. The nightlife centres around the local bars and night clubs which are lively but not rowdy. Alcudia, is just what you would expect from a beach holiday, with a range of nearby cultural sites to visit as well. There is the walled town of Alcudia itself, with Roman ruins and a lovely Sunday market. The port of Alcudia has a lovely old fishing village which lies at the northern end of the beach.

It is a place located in a very peaceful area. You don´t have any noise even during the night or the day. The only noise is the noise of the birds, the sheep bells and the cockcrow when you wake up in the morning. You are surrounded by fields, trees and nature. It is located at about 5km from Pollença town which is 5 minutes by car. The pool and the garden is located in a very sunny area during all day. There is a BBQ area located by the pool where you can enjoy al fresco meals. The area is now as Can Puig and there is other villas around it´s not an isolated place but it is very tranquil. We offer you a variety of fruits, vegetables and eggs that the finca provided us and the only thing that it is important for us is that you feel as in your own house. And if it´s not just let us know.
