About the Owner
My husband and I met as students at Edinburgh University and have always loved the city. We moved back to Scotland 7 years ago and now run a small property rental and development business.
We now live on a sheep farm north of Edinburgh with our young family but regularly visit the city to enjoy all it has to offer.
We enjoy finding flats in Edinburgh that we know to be in excellent locations and which we enjoy staying in ourselves.
We buy good quality furniture and fittings that we enjoy using and looking at ourselves and strive for very high standards of cleanliness from the firm of professional cleaners we employ.
We started renting to holiday makers in April 09 and have had extremely positive feedback about how lovely our flats are to stay in.

Beautiful modern apartment
Directly next door to the McDonald Holyrood Hotel, opposite Scottish parliament, is the The Park apartments, about a 10 minute walk to princess street. This well maintained, modern,2 bedroom apartment has all the facilities as described on the website and has the luxury of 2 bathrooms, The owner was very obliging, very responsive to any emails I sent her and even allowed us to have an early check in, which was great, as we were then able to unpack before going out to get some breakfast. The apartment has its own underground secure parking place which is an added bonus. Would definitely recommend this apartment.
Lovely apartment with all amenities
Lovely apartment which was just round the corner from Holyrood Palace. Could do with some small maintenance work but all in great place!
Good value apartment within easy walking of city attractions
Lovely warm apartment in a great location. Bedrooms were very comfortable with adequate storage for short stays. Linens and towels were of good quality.
The kitchen is well appointed and compact with laundry facilities provided in a hall cupboard. There were more than adequate utensils and crockery provided.
The lounge area would benefit from being upgraded. The corner settee is quite uncomfortable with cushions sliding forward. Occasional chairs could also be more comfortable.
Overall I think the accommodation is good value and the allocation of a parking space is of significant benefit.

Fantastic place to stay! Perfect location near Arthur's Seat and the end of the Royal Mile.
We loved this place! The location was ideal for us as we went to Holyrood Park one day and climbed Arthur's seat, and spent many days walking the Royal mile area west of the property. Having enclosed garage parking was very convenient and worked out well. The one thing that is always nice is when everything works on a property. The showers, faucets, toilets, refrigerator, TV, and wifi all worked great - no issues whatsoever. Very clean. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!! Abbey was very responsive and provided a host of excellent information on the area to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Would absolutely recommend this property to friends and family or anyone else.
Comfortable, clean and convenient!
This was a great location for our short visit especially during peak time. The flat was cozy and well stocked. Surprisingly quiet for a city spit.
The walk along the Royal Mile was interesting and reasonable - especially after the Tattoo. That said, we were happily surprised that the Hop On/Off bus routes included a stop just across the road from The Park.

“We felt that The Park is an ideal tourist flat. It is on the doorstep of all the major tourist attractions - Holyrood Palace, Parliament, Royal Mile, Castle, Grassmarket are all 1-5 mins walk from the front door. Despite it being in the heart of all the action you get a really good night's sleep in this flat due to it's situation within a small private development and facing onto Holyrood Park. The area is packed full of bars, restaurants, shops etc. You don't need to walk far for anything. We have a dog and young children and being on the doorstep of Holyrood Park is brilliant for giving them all a big run around first thing in the morning.”
Activity and Interests
The apartment is a 7 minute walk (£3-5 taxi ride) from Edinburgh Waverley train station. A taxi from the airport will cost approximately £18 or you can take the airport bus for £5 return which drops you outside Waverley train station.
The flat is ideally located for walking all over the City. A hop on/hop off sight seeing bus has a stop outside the flat. All that Edinburgh has to offer is literally on your doorstep.
Superb location for the Edinburgh Festival - within minutes walking distance of the main venues yet really quiet location which gives guests a peaceful retreat from the crowds and noise.
City centre location - everything is close by

1 minute walk to Holyrood Palace and Scottish Parliament
5 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle
8 minute walk to Princes Street

Peak season rates are £300 per night. 2 night weekend breaks will be more expensive than Sunday-Thursday nights. We aim to provide the best price we can.

“We like the fact that it is so easy to stay here. Allocated parking, lift access and quick to warm up in the winter. It is a really cosy place which is a real bonus given Scotland's weather reputation. We adore being in Edinburgh during festival time and love the fact that this flat is in the heart of the action. After a long day's festivalling and coming out of a show in the early hours of the morning you can be in bed within a few minutes. Perfect!”
