The kitchen is modern and well equipped with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer machine. Air-conditioning throughout. Large patio's to every room, leads onto own private garden with patio furniture which overlooks a communal garden and pool area. Shared swimming pool on a small development. Lagos town centre is 5 mins by car or an easy 20 minute walk. It is a lovely town with a fantastic marina, excellent restaurants, shopping and many things to do for couples or families. Only 5 mins by car to the nearest golf courses.

The large lounge/dining area is furnished in quality solid ash furniture. Its includes 2 x 3 seater sofa's. Solid ash TV unit, including flat screen TV, sky tv and DVD/CD player and FREE wifi. The dining area has a solid ash 8 seater dining table and chairs. Master bedroom with double bed, large fitted wardrobes and en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and shower, furnished in solid ash. Two x twin bedrooms, furnished in solid ash and with large fitted wardrobes. Main bathroom with power shower, finished to a very high standard. The kitchen is off high quality in solid wood and marble work tops. All modern appliances, microwave, oven, fridge/freezer and washing machine.The garden/patio area has an exceptionally large gardens/patio's of 250 sq metres which runs to the front, rear and back of the apartment with excellent outdoor furniture.

Great Apartment

We've stayed in this apartment for 3 years in a row (and have already booked for next year) and once in the apartment next door (Diane) so thought it was high time to write a review!

Needless to say we love it. The development as a whole is quiet, clean and feels safe and exclusive.

Apartment Megan is spacious (we travel as 3 generations so use all 3 bedrooms and never feel cramped), very well maintained, nicely decorated, high quality furniture and has everything you need. The outside space is fantastic, not only for young children but also with garden on 3 sides you can follow the sun around the apartment all day if you decide to stay at home! We love eating outside and there's a big table with plenty of chairs.

The pool area is also clean and well looked after and is generally fairly quiet as it is only shared by around 12 or 14 apartments.

Lagos town is roughly a 30 minute walk away or a 5 minute drive. I won't review the town other than to say it is a great mix of old traditional and new but hasn't been spoilt like many other holiday towns. Great choice of restaurants and shops etc.

Porto de Mos beach is a 10 minute walk away. It's a beautiful beach and there are a couple of very nice beach restaurants for food and refreshments!

In terms of needing a car we have done both with and without. It's undoubtedly a good walk into town so depends if you like walking or not really! Whilst our son was still using a pushchair this was fine and we used to walk in and get a taxi back either from the town or from the supermarket if we needed further supplies! For our latest trip we had a car and the added flexibility was great.

We've had the pleasure of meeting the owners who are great and the management company is helpful and responsive.

I can only conclude by saying that the hardest thing about writing the review was that we felt torn about telling people how good the apartment is and keeping it to ourselves so there was less chance of someone else booking it when we want it!!! I think that says it all!

Activity and Interests


Porto De Mos beach is within a few minutes easy walking, it boasts a beautiful beach with lovely restaurants which cater for international and local cuisine. You can hire sunbeds and umbrellas. There is water sports available and lots of beach activities.


Faro airport is approx 50 mins away (80km), it has various car rental companies on offer. Lagos railway station is 2km away. The nearest motorway junction is 1km away. I would advise on car hire to appreciate what the Algarve has to offer.

Supermarket 1km.

Restaurants 600m.

Private Hospital 2km.

Praia da Luz 5km.

Porto De Mos is only 5 mins away by car or a 20 min walk, from the beautiful town of Lagos. Lagos has a much historical feel to it and boasts in history. The waterfront has an amazing fort and the old town is surrounded by the old town wall. The Marina has much to offer with lots of boat cruises, from seeing the dolphins or taking a trip to the grotto's. For families it has a water park close by and Zoomarina. The town has plenty of things to do, including excellent restaurants and bars.
